Something has changed. We have ordered this pizza off for a while. The pizza is completely different. Crust is heavy. Toppings are poor. To top it off, I ordered a kale ceaser salad tonight with my pizzas. I received about 1/3 random lettuce and 2/3 croutons, bacon and cheese with no dressing. I couldn't even eat my "salad" and it wasn't at all what I ordered. I called the store to ask about it, and they said they changed their menu two months ago (but not online). She acknowledged she forgot the dressing and just said sorry. No offer of refund. I didn't even receive what I ordered. Lost my business forever. read more

Canterra location: It's been a few years since I've been here and it has changed! It's super small now and isn't really that big for a dine in location. Staff is friendly though but it was dead which makes me wonder of the downsize has something to do with it? Anyways I got the City Market pizza and it was delicious! A feel good pizza place in the middle of town. Very unique pizza shapes - they are rectangular 17inch by 6inch, however once sliced they can be handled like the regular pizza slices. The pizzas have quite interesting names and the kids had fun reading the menu and choosing what they wanted. We finally zeroed in on 'The Q' and 'Captain cook' and both were delicious and disappeared within minutes. We also got a side of Taco tots to go along with it. We finally checked out some of the Pinocchio ice cream as well to finish off. Overall an enjoyable and unique experience and we'll surely recommend this to our friends. read more

This place is a really great location to visit for a unique, custom made to order pizza. They so many different options for toppings, befor and after the pizza is cooked. The service has always been friendly, whenever I have visited this restaurant; they are quick to greet you when you arrive, are happy to serve you with whatever custom request you may have, such as gluten free and lactose free options for those with dietary needs. The food bar is open, so you can watch them as they prepare your order, and it is always fresh! The sitting area is fairly open considering it is bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside; the high ceilings help with this, I am sure. They have a wall with rules of how to enjoy your visit, and it is kinda cheesy (pun intended ). I really enjoy Love Pizza, and highly recommend it to anyone that hasn't been there! We ordered from LovePizza on a recommendation from a friend. We did pick up from the downtown location, so we didn't actually sit in the restaurant, but oh the food. All the pizza we tried was just delicious. This is a really unique type of pizza. They are almost all one price $14, and there are so many different gourmet toppings to choose from. You can build your own or choose from their hand crafted selections. Each pizza is a rectangle about 6"x17". They have lots of crust options including gluten free. They have some fun flavours of the month so check back regularly to find a new creation. There are also deals throughout the week, Monday is 2 for $22. We will definitely be ordering from here again. Of course we all know: pizza is a perfect food. Sometimes though, you want something more than perfection - you want actual nourishment. That's why I'm grateful for places like LovePizza. They've got you covered for cheesy goodness, but they've also got big ol' salads to balance you out. Plus they deliver (and quick) so you can eat it in bed in your bath robe - and what's more nourishing than that? I was recently in Edmonton for a few days for work, and with a busy schedule I also wanted something I could shamelessly dig into for breakfast the next day, because I knew I wouldn't have time to source fresh breakfast food before heading to meetings early AM. So, I ordered two different 'zas (calm down judge-y, they are single serving size I'm not a monster) and a spinach arugula salad with beets, goat cheese and pecans. Everything was great, but the standout was the peaches and cream pizza. Peach compote instead of tomato sauce, gorgonzola, roasted corn, pickled red onion, arugula, and balsamic reduction. Such a satisfying combo of flavours. I scarfed most of it plus the salad for dinner, and saved the "plain Jane" - a simple margherita 'za for breakfast and a post-work snack the next day. Glad my friend and I made a lunch date and arrived around 11:40 as we were in a near empty restaurant. But another 15 minutes and the place was packed with most tables occupied. Would recommend coming earlier for lunch. There were a few larger tables which is great for work lunches with colleagues. The menu boards were large and easy to read. I like the options for their signature pizzas but also the option to build your own. I decided on The Q and had the option of whole wheat crust which I appreciated. I love how they make the pizza in front of you and you can ask to omit some items or ask for less cheese as I did. The first person out the sauce on my crust and next person put the toppings on before heading to the oven. While cooking, I went to pay for my meal and back to our table. We were called when our pizzas were ready and was asked if I wanted the rest of the toppings. That was great that even though it's a signature pizza, it can still be customized to the customer's liking. The pizza was cut in 6 slices and even though it's thin crust, it was too much for me to finish. They have help yourself boxes which is great to not have to ask and able to box leftovers. LOVEPIZZA seems to have taken Edmonton's "foodie" crowd by storm. Almost all the reviews I've read have been positive and with a lack of quality pizza options in town, I was happy to hear things were going well so far. We decided to give them a try for dinner Thursday evening and arrived around 6pm. It didn't feel busy but there was a constant flow of people coming in and out, with most people taking their pizzas to go. I have no idea how this used to be a Planet Beach Tanning salon but I will give Lovepizza credit where credits due. They've made the space their own with a slick black and white look. The layout is spacious and gives off a casual, laid-back vibe. It's not fancy here but geared to be a grab something quick and tastier than your crappy fast food alternatives. Guess that makes sense as one of Lovepizza's co-owner also owns all the Press'd Sandwiches spots. Here's where things got weird - we were waiting in line to order so I decided to take a few pictures. I take one photo and this one lady, who I originally assumed was the co-owner (but am pretty sure was just a worker) says you're not allowed to take any photos unless you specifically ask her. What?!? That's never happened ever. Okay, technically once in Calgary but that place specifically had signs up saying no photos allowed. That's different. Either way, I obliged so if you want to see photos, check out a few other reviews (here or here). - Holy Shiitake ($11.95) - truffle parmesan sauce, fior di latte, roasted mushroom blend, caramelized onion and fresh arugula. This one was our least favourite. The mushrooms were bland, almost tasteless and I didn't get a hint of the truffle parmesan sauce. You know it's bad when you have to constantly drizzle chili oil and add chili flakes to give the pizza any real flavour. - Pie on The Fly ($11.95) - truffle parmesan sauce, quattro formaggi, prosciutto and fresh arugula. I liked this one the best but wow, talk about cheaping out on the toppings. There was barely any prosciutto on it. Seriously, not impressed especially when I think back to how generous Spinelli's prosciutto arugula pizza was. - BBLT ($11.95) - tangy tomato sauce, fior di latte, Irvings farm bacon, back bacon, fresh arugula and cherry tomatoes. J liked this one but I wasn't a fan of their sauce. The tanginess didn't compliment the rest of the ingredients. We both agreed that the traditional caputo "00" dough that they use is great - everything else was average. For the price, I'm not sure why everyone's raving about how cheap it is. Sure, you can save $5.00 the first visit for signing up for their loyalty program - which my buddy used to get a Grizzly Paw beer ($5.99) with his meal. But if we had only ordered one pizza each, we would have still been hungry. Likely hangry. We ate three pizzas between the two of us and had no leftovers. J said he's in no rush to come back and said this place reminded him of a "Quizno's if Quizno's were to serve pizza". This coming from a guy who will eat everything - guess I've been spoiling him too much with all the ethnic hole in the wall type places. Visited here twice now. The concept is great and the ingredients sound awesome but I didn't think the flavour stacked up to Blaze (same concept different restaurant). Neither of my kids were a big fan of this place and both like blaze. My daughter didn't like the way the pineapple or tomato sauce tasted here and my son did not like the pepperoni. I did 2 create your owns and 1 was good and one was meh (maybe my fault). I'd come again but not the kind of place I'd crave. They do offer a kids meal option for $5.99 which is a nice touch and fresh and local Pinocchio's gelato! And local beers - so there are definitely some good things here. I was underwhelmed by my meal from LovePizza. I had heard so many good things, so I expected so much more. The pizza was fine, but honestly, didn't seem like anything too special. The mushrooms were plentiful and tasty though. The buffalo tater tots were pretty basic - the menu said they would have ranch as well, but they didn't come with any. They were just tater tots with hot sauce and green onions. And the caramel beignets were so stale and dry! If I went back to LovePizza, I would just have a pizza and nothing else. And honestly, I'd probably pick to have pizza somewhere else instead. I had such high hopes. I always enjoy when a restaurant uses local ingredients, which made me excited since LovePizza lists numerous Alberta suppliers on their website, but in this case - I don't know if that's enough to make me want to go back. read more

5/5 for being a local Woman owned business! Girl Power! I have to say that this is one of my fave DIY pizza places. I first got a taste of it when I was working for Monster Energy and we dropped off Monster and they gave us a complimentary pizza! Talk about customer service. It put such a good taste in my mouth that I've come back many times since. It doesn't hurt that I live very close. This place is located in the Save-On Jasper complex so it isn't hard to find parking. I usually create my own pizza because I am a vegetarian and I just like what I like. They have many different options for toppings and sauces. The toppings and sauces for the customized option will be charged separately but it still is reasonably priced. I don't think I've had to pay more than $20 to eat her, plus drink and tips. So not to bad. The pizza is made in a kind of assembly line and then it goes through a small oven and is served to you. The entire process is about 10 minutes, so pretty quick! It's an easy place to just stop and eat. read more

Pizza dough is good, has a good texture and flavour. However the city market pizza did not seem to have any chicken. Maybe they have really small pieces or they forgot the chicken? Donuts were not fresh, they were cold and stale, as though they had been in the fridge for a while. They also tasted like baked buns instead of fried donuts, but hard to tell considering how cold and stale they were. I enjoy coming to this place. I like the pizza. I know traditionalists who don't like to call it pizza. Regardless of what you want to call it, it is tasty! The service is always really friendly, and they work efficiently. If there are a lot of people it can be a bit of a wait as each pizza is made to order, but a bit of a wait is really not that bad. You're getting good food, and good food takes time. There are specialty options for every possible dietary concern. Plus kids pizzas for the kiddies under 10. You can reserve tables. Walking into this establishment, there are clean lines every and it feels peppy. There is a cute "house rules wall" that has cute rules like "you opens door for old". This gave it a family feel to me while still being a great spot for date night. I ordered the City Market on Whole wheat which came with a pesto sauce instead of the classic red, artichoke hearts, pesto chicken, feta, tomatoes, and pickled red onions. The crust was amazing and so hearty! My chicken was dry but I think that's because the only cheese on the pizza was the feta topping after it was cooked. The pickled red onions were SO GOOD and the feta was very creamy. The balsamic finishing glaze was just the right amount of sweetness. My husband did a make your own pizza and had red sauce, mozza, pepperoni, spicy pepperoni, back bacon, and pulled chicken. Cheese is $2 extra which we were disappointed to see since we found out Glaze Pizza doesn't charge for extra cheese. He loved the flavours but said it needed much more sauce than was given. Fast food at it's best. Not really a date night sort of place, but good quality pizza and toppings and a decent price. The restaurant is clean. Bathrooms are nice. Beer available, but we drank the free tap water. I don't like standing in line to build my own dishes in any establishment, but this is one of the easier places to do that. Noon was a fairly busy time to visit, but it went quickly and we had our pie in minutes. A large was more than 2 of us could finish. We sat and talked for 90 minutes before I realized that parking in that lot is monitored. I've never been tagged there, but there might be a first time. read more

A year later, and it's time to update my review. I've been to Love Pizza enough times that I now have enough points for a free pizza! That's uhhh... $150 worth of purchases :) But hey, download their app as they have promos and you get a free pizza for your birthday! A bit has changed over the past year. They've increased their prices. The pizzas now cost $1 more than when they opened, and you also have to pay $1 for each additional topping, which you didn't have to before. Now, I'm not the type of person that even cares to add additional toppings, as I just order things how they are, however if I get the Holy Shiitake, which is just mushrooms and cheese, and the same price as a pizza with meat, well I do add chicken and I have to pay for it. The Old MacDonald used to come with "farm fresh eggs" (ie. TWO eggs), and now only comes with just one egg. Now, with the increased price, and the fact that we are prompted for a tip (do they ask for tips at Subway??), it's just under $30 for two pizzas, when you add one with whole wheat crust, and just one extra topping. So those are the cons. The pros: Well I really love the flavours. It's just natural tasting ingredients, not loaded with salt. Just right. I don't feel sick after eating the pizza here, and I enjoy their monthly specials. Overall, I still recommend Love Pizza as a fantastic local pizza shop! read more

Uh, love LovePizza? - Ya I do!! First off, when I walked into this chic black & white tiled resto, I was taken aback as to how large and airy it is. Because it's located in the business plaza on 109th and Jasper Ave that is full of tiny businesses, I assumed it would be quite small as well - more of a take-out place with 4 or 5 tables. Boy was I wrong! With a vaulted ceiling, huge windows, and seating for what looked like 40, this place is wide open and ready to rock! After going up to the counter to order, the staff assemble you made to order pizza and put it through an oven. It them comes out the other side and is topped with more ingredients. Pro Tip: no matter what 'za you order, get them to drizzle the balsamic reduction on it - it is delicious!! I went with the Old MacDonald pizza on whole wheat crust.... with locally farm sourced sausage, a free range egg on top, amazing cheeses, all I can say is that it was fantastic and I am really, really impressed. Also, I like that they have pizza boxes out for you to package up what you don't eat. Because even though this was 1:30pm, and I was famished from not eating breakfast, I only ate half of my $12 pizza, and took the rest for a midnight, merlot induced snack. Other highlights that make me love, love, love this place: A wonderful beet salad. Pinocchio ice cream. Local beers and decent wine & prosecco. Free parking. This is an attractive and trendy pizza place in one of the busiest parts of downtown. The names of the dishes are memorable, such as a perogy inspired pizza called Ode to Ukraine. This pizza contains orange cheddar, shaved potato, Irvings Farm bacon, caramelized onion, crème fraiche, green onion. I tried this a couple months ago as takeout. I love anything perogy-like so I enjoyed this pizza. This time I dined in and tried the City Market pizza with roasted garlic spread, pesto pulled chicken, artichoke hearts, cherry tomato, pickled red onion and goat cheese. This oval shaped pizza was nicely presented. But I kind of thought it looked better then it tasted. Something seemed to be lacking. Some oomph. I tried putting some chili flakes and infused oils to improve the taste but it didn't quite do the job. I didn't totally dislike the flavor but I wasn't overly excited either. I also didn't notice any obvious chicken in the pesto. There was very little to non existent chicken in that pesto. The signature pizzas are $12.95. I also tried a salad called Just Beet It which contains pickled beets, creamy goat cheese, toasted walnuts, spinach, fresh arugula, white balsamic vinaigrette for $9.95. I love beet salads. However, this salad seemed to be lacking in both presentation and taste. There were a lot of red beets (cut into tiny cubes) but I didn't find there was enough balsamic vinaigrette for my taste. In addition the the unusual selection of canned pop and juices, they also offer Grizzly Paw Handcrafted Soda, Wine by the Glass, and Craft Beer. I was tempted to get a Grizzly Paw root beer but opted for a less expensive can of Coke. As for desserts they sell small (125mL) containers of Pinnochio ice cream for $3.95. I enjoyed the pistachio flavor. It was creamy and not too sweet. This was a nice treat. I'm aware that this restaurant tries to use local ingredients and it is an Alberta based business. A great addition to the downtown food scene that offers up a quick and freshly made pizza to order. I came here with the fiancé, he ordered the Meatatarian and I, the Ode to Ukraine (which was recommended to me by the young man behind the counter). Basically you order up a pizza from the set menu or choose to create your own with a large variety of toppings to offer. Once decided between white or a whole wheat crust, the diligent employees behind the counter get to work on your long oval thin crust pizza which makes its way through the counter top oven quite quickly. After baking, there are more choices to be made - a wide selection of additional toppings & sauces (at no extra charge!) awesome! Then you pay at the til. There is no tableside service here so everything is ordered up and paid for beforehand. As for tables, plenty to be had in this bright modern space. Note that they are fully licensed and serve up beer and wine too! The establishment was clean and well stocked when we visited. Prices are super reasonable for the serving you get... I would definitely come back to try other varieties of pizza offered. But next time I would avoid the whole wheat crust option as I found it too filling and distracting from the pizza I ordered. read more

I have been a few times now. I was impressed when I first came. Upon walking in it is hard not to notice how gorgeous the place is. Honeycomb walls, black & white throughout. So smart looking. Even the bathrooms are perfectly decorated. Layout and flow of the place is smart right down to takeout boxes near the exit so you don't have to get back in line for a box. It's not perfect, however. I found the fans and music made it fairly loud to the point where I couldn't hear the staffs questions while in line. All the same, great vibe. So, why only 3 stars? What is missing for me is a quality taste to match the look. On my first visit I had The Q, their take on a BBQ chicken. The creamy Gorgonzola pulled me in. I really was impressed with the finishing area where you can personalize your creation. Sitting down, the fist few bites where great but I noticed I was putting a lot of chilli oil and basil oil on to help it along. The flavours of The Q where present but not stellar. What I actually think it is letting me down is the crust. At times it was so dry it demanded more oil. Oil can't solve every problem (but good on them having bottles on every table). Second visit I had the City Market. Goat cheese and artichoke hearts? Yes please!The ingredients sounded perfect but in execution it was flavourless. No flavour + that crust = Hello oil, my old friend... I've come to drizzle you again. Worth a visit? Absolutely. If you like their crust keep coming as it is a fun little place to come with others. To me, pizza is a food that brings people together. Pizza is a staple at parties, and you typically share pizzas with others. But the story behind Love Pizza is a little bit different - co-owners Braede & Gavin shared pizza on their first date and fell in love over pizza. Love pizza is the baby of their love story, and I think it's great that their story is up on the wall for all to see. I met up with some girlfriends for lunch last Tuesday and the space was packed with hungry patrons. Aside from the amazing smell of freshly baked pizza, I was immediately drawn to the clean, minimalist design of the space. The use of black and white with geometric shapes give the space a trendy, modern feel. Like many fast-casual restaurants, Love Pizza runs on a self serve concept where you place your order up at the counter. Pizza dough is made in-house daily, and you have the choice between a Traditional Caputo '00', 100% Whole Wheat made with Gold Forest Grains flour, or Gluten Free crust (+$3). After choosing your base, you can choose from one of the 11 signature pizzas ($11.95) or go on an adventure and build your own for the same price. The signature pizzas feature some mouthwatering combinations, but with housemade sauces and specialty toppings like artichoke hearts, capicolla, and pecorino, you could make a pretty fantastic pizza. Whichever route you choose to take, the pizza goes into the oven for 3 minutes and your pizza is hot and ready. I'm a huge fan of mushrooms on pizza, so I was immediately drawn to the Holy Shiitake ($11.95) on the traditional crust. This vegetarian pizza features housemade truffle parmesan sauce, Fior Di Latte, a roasted mushroom blend, caramelized onions, and fresh arugula. My pizza had an abundance of toppings, but I was only able to make out two different mushrooms. I had hoped for a greater variety, but perhaps the blend hadn't been well mixed. While the combination of toppings was delicious, there wasn't the hit of truffle flavour I was expecting to come from the sauce. Finishing the pizza with a drizzle of truffle oil would have made this pizza perfect for me. On to the base. If there's two things I hate in a pizza crust, it's when crust enters flatbread territory, and when crusts are soggy and unable to hold up the weight of the ingredients. The '00' crust at Love Pizza is anything but that - it's fantastic. The dough rises enough to give the pizza structure and a soft bite, and it stays thin so as not to overwhelm each bite of pizza. Next came the Ode to Ukraine ($11.95), featuring a combination of roasted garlic spread, orange cheddar, shaved potato, Irving's Farm bacon, caramelized onions, green onions, and finished with a drizzle of creme fraiche. The flavour was similar to that of a perogy, and I enjoyed the added smokiness from the bacon. We opted for the whole wheat crust for this pizza and I found that it didn't rise as nicely or have the soft, chewy bite to it, making it similar to a flatbread. Although whole wheat is a healthy alternative, I'm definitely sticking to the traditional crust. For our final pizza we went with the City Market ($11.95) on whole wheat. Pesto pulled chicken, artichoke hearts, cherry tomato, pickled red onion and goat cheese rested on a bed of roasted garlic spread. It was another great combination of flavours, albeit a tad dry given the use of goat cheese. It's great to have another fast-casual restaurant open up in the downtown core, and I'm sure those working in the area would agree. Being a small business, Love Pizza aims to source local ingredients where possible to strengthen the community. One of the menu boards is dedicated to listing the local suppliers they partner with, and I think it's great that they make sustainability a priority. With a great selection of quality ingredients (there's over 40+ choices), the pizza combinations are endless, and I'll definitely be back for more. What's even better is that Love Pizza has a loyalty program where you can earn points towards free pizza, and you get free birthday pizza! I have been to love pizza 6-7 times now, and finally decided to rate it. My biggest issue was cost, I find that occasionally you get a pizza and your still hungry afterwards, and with the costs being fairly high it isn't worth it for dinner. HOWEVER, they do make very good pizza most of the time, and lots of unique flavours to try and they make an awesome lunch option. Wow. I've eaten here twice now, and couldn't be more pleased with this pizza place! It's really neat how you can customize your pizza with so many delicious toppings either cooked or as finishers for your pizza! And it's rather affordable too -- generally I get up to two small meals from my one pizza order. I really love how they have a rewards program via phone app and the fact that you can get to-go or to stay orders and with your eat in order you can always package the leftover bits to go with boxes available in the restaurant too. But really what gets me is the fact that you can customize so much about your pizza (including if the crust is whole wheat or regular!) and the fact that your pizza is inevitably delicious! I have so loved the pizza that is available here all long and cut into triangles (unique shape!). I've not felt overly stuffed after eating it, and it's not at all limited to the basic pizza toppings that you can find elsewhere. Plus they focus on locally sourcing ingredients which is really awesome. I hope that my enjoyable experiences only continue with this place now that I've both eaten in and taken out my meals! :) read more

Wow! I hope this chain takes off! Was in the neighborhood yesterday and excited at the opportunity to scratch this establishment off my list. The certainly didn't let me down! I settled on an "Ode to Ukraine" pie. Soooo good! As I sat down to my meal, I looked at the flatbread pizza and though "this looks amazing...but there's not much to it...I should have ordered 2" Well...as I began my ladt slice...I was more than satisfied with the serving size! Not a surprise that happens to me often! Can't wait to go back and sample more of their menu! read more

I am a big fan of Love Pizza. I think considering that it has only been open less than a year and has 92 reviews to date with an average 4 star rating shows that it is at least very popular. I think it is a great addition the ever flourishing pizza scene in Edmonton. I first heard about them through Twitter and my first taste of their pizza was a free tasting day they held. They were trying their recipes and oven and giving out some free pizzas to their social media followers (or anyone that showed up). I was impressed from that first taste and I have been back many times over the last 10 months. The location is modern, bright, airy, clean and wide open. There is also lots of parking in the big lot shared by all of the businesses in this strip mall area. You get to watch them build your pizza and you can even watch it go through their conveyer oven. I have been here over the lunch hour and I haven't found that the wait is too long. One thing I really like that they source a lot of their ingredients locally and everything is freshly made (no canned ingredients that I know of). They have some great unique drinks too and they are a licensed establishment. The staff have always been great and the store also has a loyalty program that is based on a smartphone app. I love that I don't have to carry another loyalty card around in my wallet! I have always been very happy with their crust and toppings and the finished product. My favourite so far has been the Meatatarian, with the Holy Shiitake coming a close second. I haven't tried them all yet so I may update this review at a later date! I think we are getting very spoiled with pizza places in Edmonton, which is great for us pizza lovers! If you are going to open a pizza shop in Edmonton you better step up with your A game to compete. If you want to try a unique pizza place I would give this place a shot for sure. read more

Super great food. Super fun atmosphere. Super big portions. Super good price. This place is super! Another pizza joint, was my initial thought when I saw they were building love pizza downtown. I thought famoso is already so good and if I'm feeling greasy, my papa johns has never steered me wrong. This place has a lot to offer. Everything is customizable. They give you some great suggestions of where to start and then give you free reign. Also, the toppings are UNLIMITED! And their not just crappy regular toppings, they have special gourmet cheeses, sundried tomatoes, garlic olive oil drizzle and tons more. Too it all off with a novelty soda from their great selection and you've got yourself either a great little date night, or a nice pizza with plenty left over for lunch. Super Bargin! read more

Love pizza kind of just popped up in the 109st and jasper ave square where save on is. Love pizza is set up like burger priest, in that it's designed to be a nicer and better quality version of fast food dining. The restaurant partners with local companies so they carry grizzly paw beverages and Pinocchio ice cream (vanilla, chocolate and pistachio). Oh and they have beer and wine! There was a variety of pre-set pizzas on their menu but they also give you the choice of making your own. They also give you the choice of whole wheat or normal (?) crust and the pizzas are all thin crust to decrease cooking time. We got the Holy Shiitake and the Meatatarian, both were really good, and split the pistachio ice cream for dessert. The ice cream was delicious to. I can't wait to go back and try the other pizzas. I am in LOVE! We had our first LovePizza experience tonight and couldn't be happier. First of all, the modern industrial decor had us smiling as soon as we walked through the doors. It's a very cool atmosphere. We headed to the counter to order, and the only negative comment in my review is this: the menu was difficult to read, due to small print and white light reflecting on the white signs. I had to keep moving to be able to dodge the reflection and read each item. An easy fix for a brand new restaurant. I ordered the City Market and a Sommersby Cider, and my boyfriend had the Meatatarian and a Steamwhistle. I added a few extra toppings and was surprised to find that they didn't charge me extra. The whole order, with a 10% tip, was about $40. The pizza was INCREDIBLE. We were both positively enamored. Fresh ingredients, great flavor, and a large portion (I could've stopped at 3/4 of the pizza, my boyfriend was happy with the full amount). We love pizza, and this didn't disappoint. I'd never tried the Sommersby, and that was a pleasant treat too. We will absolutely be back. Great atmosphere, good value for the price, and a delicious quick meal. read more

There are a lot of unique toppings and you can customize the pizza to your hearts desire. The owners are really passionate and it shows in the customer service their staff delivers each time you're in. Unlimited toppings, reasonable price, fast and filling! This is the perfect combination!!! What's great is that they have a lot more topping options than (for example) Blaze (which is also a make-your-own pizza joint). I love adding their prosciutto, arugula, and their many cheese options, and I like how they have additional sauces/oils that you could add at the end like honey or garlic oil. There's also a ton of vegetarian toppings to make a delicious veggie pizza. They also DON'T skimp out on the toppings; they will LOAD IT UP. However, Blaze does have a better crust but other than that, lovepizza wins. I really like sweet and savoury flavour combinations so my favourite sauce is the peach sauce. It sounds weird at first but TRUST ME it makes for a very interesting and delicious pizza! I actually like to do "half and half" sauce on my pizza so I get a peach sauce on one half of the pizza and another sauce I wanna try on the other half. My 2nd favourite is probably their normal tomato sauce. I find that their garlic sauce doesn't add much flavour to the pizza. In fact, I don't know why there aren't more people doing half and half pizzas!!! This is perfect to try out their sauces and toppings and hey, that's TWO pizzas for the price of one!!! read more

I went here because it has a keto crust that I can sub in place of regular crust for any of their pizzas. The crust was quite good. I had the "buffalo wing-za" pizza which is very unique in a good way. However, the amount of gorgonzola on the pizza was too much for my taste, and the chicken bites were kind of mushy. But overall the flavor and texture of everything was good. I'll probably be back in future to try another kind of pizza! read more

I like the concept and idea, and the choices for toppings are decent, but was it "omg I see the Holy Grail" good? Not quite. We came on a Monday and it was 2 pizzas for $20 plus beer for $4. I made my own weird concoction and though the board says it recommends 4 toppings, there's nowhere that says that's the hard limit. I asked for five and it seemed to throw the girl behind the counter offer a bit. The pizzas themselves are cooked pretty quickly without leaving you with a soggy mess. I really like the finishing touches available (honey and chili oil - try it!). I downloaded the app while in line and earned points for the purchase - I think as you earn more points you can redeem for things. Beer by the bottle is kept in a little fridge and at $4 a bottle, my Aprikat went perfectly with my pizza. For a sweet treat, Pinocchio ice cream is sold by the cup and we split a black cherry (if I'm being honest, we made a mini float with the beer). I like it and would go if I was in the neighbourhood, but it didn't blow my socks off enough that I'd trek across the city for it. read more

This seems like a pretty new establishment just off Jasper Ave. It shares the same parking space as the save on foods downtown, so parking might be slim pickings if you drive there. There is free wi-fi at this location and ample seating. I came in about 12:15 in the afternoon and the line up was just growing, so if you want to save time in line, come a little earlier. It's pretty smokey hazy inside... almost like a bar, but smells like pizza. There is ample seating with clean, modern decor. Not very brightly lit, but there is a fair amount of natural sunlight during the lunch hour. Ordering is pretty easy, feels like ordering a sub at subway, only better. I'm impressed with the pizza menu. They have set signature pizzas, but every pizza can be customized to your taste by adding or excluding toppings at no extra cost: $11.95 + tax per pizza (only 1 standard oval size unless you order a kids meal which is half size). They do recommend 4 toppings or cooking time might be affected if you pile it too heavily. I like the fact that ingredients are proudly sourced locally & even advertises their local distributors. The menu is posted at the top of the ordering line, but also frosted on the glass panels where you order so you have easy reference. You also have the option of adding toppings & sauces post cooking too. Service was pretty organized & staff is super friendly. Now for the pizza itself: I ordered a holy shiitake pizza and added pesto pulled chicken pre-oven, then sundried tomatoes, arugula & balsamic reduction post bake. The take out box they give is rectangular & fits the pizza perfectly, but does make it a little awkward to walk with. The pizza was pretty delicious too! Overall I was quite impressed with this place & the quality of their fast food pizza. I would come back here...I actually joined their loyalty club just to save $5 next time!
