We trusted Pinch A Penny on 9th Street to maintain pools at two homes that were often vacant. They continued billing us and claimed the pools were being serviced, but our cameras, neighbors, and family confirmed otherwise. At one property, no one came for about six weeks, even though we were sent pictures pretending the service had been completed. When family stayed at the homes for two weeks, neither pool was serviced once. One pool was found green, several feet low, and with the pool light hanging out. At another property, a defective pool-fill device they installed leaked approximately 1,500 gallons, killing plants and damaging landscaping. We only discovered it after the water company contacted us.btw a few weeks before my parents but a hose pool fill which they returned bc it was defective. Then weeks later I get one from them and they don't test it and connect it. Pretty coincidental. There has been no accountability, no meaningful response from the owner, and no effort to resolve the damage. In our experience, they took advantage of the fact that the homes were vacant, billed for work that was not performed, and were dishonest about it. We will be pursuing recovery of our damages through other means.

Sunday afternoon, at least five customers in the store at the time. The owners son, Evan, is always on his phone and refuses to help customers. Today, He sees me walk in with four chlorine containers, makes eye contact with me, completely ignores me and looks back at his phone. I load everything onto the rolling cart myself and go up to the front desk where I'm told by an employee who's leaving and trying to catch the bus that someone else will be up to help me. Great. Evan is still on his phone. Another young man comes up to the register to help me. There's another customer in line behind me. No one is there to help out to the car, yet Evan is still on his phone. After loading the containers into my car myself, I go back in to make sure I get his name so that I can write this review. I tell him what just happened and he denies it and says He didn't make eye contact with me. Keep in mind, he still has not raised his elbows from the counter, and he's still connected to his phone. Talk about customer service!!! Most employees here are helpful and greet you with a smile. Francisco is wonderful. Randall is always there to greet you and do his best to assist. I have back problems and have a hard time lifting these myself, as they are quite heavy. It's really disappointing that the owner of the company has decided to put their son in the store ( Probably to teach him some work experience and the value of earning a dollar) and that his son is driving off customers. He's an entitled, rude kid who couldn't care less and he has no business dealing with regular neighborhood paying customers. Bummer. One bad apple can ruin it for the whole bunch. From now on, I will be driving further to another pool store, in hopes of decent service.

Cara the owner, was very gracious and advised she would have Ben, her husband, come out and look at the spa pump. Ben came and looked at the pump and felt confident it could be repaired. He ordered the necessary parts and indicated he would let us know when it came in. In the meantime, we mentioned to the pool builder doing the resurfacing that we had contacted Dutchcraft Services to repair the pump. Marty, from US Pools without us asking, stated that Ben does great work and he also recommended them. How cool was that? Ben completed the work. we had a hiccup, not because of anything Ben had done wrong, but the company putting the pebble sheen had plugged the spa to avoid material going into the pipe. They unplugged it and the spa pump works like a charm!! The best part, Ben's price was very reasonable! We are sooo happy with it and we are using the spa more than we ever have! Pool Perfection builds a top notch quality pool. The whole backyard renovation pool and sunken outdoor Kitchen has made our own piece of paradise everything we could have wished for. We waited a while to submit the review as with any pool project things happen. Pool perfection PM made sure the build went smoothly, any questions or concerns were always addressed in a timely manner. As for the warranty process, we had to have tile replaced within our 1 year warranty period. Max the PM did an amazing job coordinating the new tile selection, to the installation that was completed in one day. Additionally he had the pool cleaned good before restarting the pool. All while standing behind the new tile install to include an additional year warranty on the new tile. We are back up and running and ready to enjoy our piece of paradise once again. UPDATE: 5 years post pool- install with this absolute NIGHTMARE of a company. We still deal with…read moreUNEVEN FOUNTAINS because they admitted to skimping out on plumbing and putting our deck jets on one plumbing line with one valve instead of 2, meaning the first fountain closest to the valve gets all the pressure and the second one is very noticeably lower in height because it gets less pressure. Our feet continue to get TORN UP in the pool because they sold us the pebble sheen but put in something MUCH COURSER which destroys everyone's feet. The bottom is SO SO ROUGH! Our concrete continues to be a huge issue and we will eventually have to have it redone or add a French drain because it is SO UNEVEN on one side that rain just sits and creates a complete mess! The roof they put in continues to leak like crazy as it did immediately after completion. People that come over to our home are appalled at the work of this company! I invite anyone and everyone over to see the complete CRAP work of this company! I am shocked they are still in business!
