I tried to troubleshoot it myself, then gave up and gave Ben a call. On the phone, he was able to figure out the likely cause and told me to try out his solution. Lo and behold, it worked! Friendly, super knowledgeable, fair pricing, and efficient, the type of business anyone should strive for. Thank you so much Ben, you've won us over as a customer for life.

NEVER AGAIN! Called Ben to repair leaking jets in hot tub. When he arrived stayed for approximately…read more20 mins and then left due to a 5 minute cloudburst. Nothing was fixed but the entire wall exposing the motor was left on the ground broken into several pieces. It would be 4 weeks before he returned leaving the motor and broken wall exposed to the elements. Ben claimed he was "out of town" during this time~right in the middle of this job! Before he returned he contacted us and asked if he "accidentally" left the new jets inside the hot tub and asked if we could check. Sure enough they were there. This meant that during his entire first visit he removed 10 screws from the wall and left them on the ground with the now broken wall. We were quoted a price of $450. He returned and said he replaced the jets and left the broken wall stating that now that he had to repair the wall that he broke he would have to return and charge for additional materials. 2 days later we filled the hot tub to discover the jets still leaking. Upon his return he claimed that other jets were now leaking and we would be better off replacing the hot tub in its entirety. He then instructed us on how WE could repair the wall of the hot tub that HE broke. In a nutshell~it took Ben 6 weeks to attempt to repair service on our hot tub and all he did successfully was break the wall of our hot tub. He was not able to repair anything and suddenly the quote rose to $500. This of course was in addition to the $125 service charge that he was originally paid. Stay away from this company completely! One star is not low enough. Considering going to the Better Business Bureau and requesting a refund for work that was not completed and and unrepaired damages that he himself caused.

A couple of weeks ago I signed up for the home pool service that included testing the water and…read morecleaning the pool, weekly, for $100 per month. I didn't think I needed to ask a lot of questions - pretty basic, test the water, clean the pool (I told them cleaning wasn't necessary since I use a robotic system). I had been using an automatic water tester that I didn't like (didn't include all the normal tests), tried test trips (low accuracy), tried the chemical kit that was delivered with the pool (not much better than test strips), and taking samples to Leslie or Pinch A Penny. Both of those companies ran very detailed tests. But I thought a weekly test conducted by Pinch A Penny would be more convenient so I signed up. First week someone comes by, tests the water using a portable chemical test (fill the vials with water, drop a solution in, shake, look a the colors against a chart) made adjustments to the salt chlorination unit. Shake the chemical vials seemed a bit strange but I didn't say anything. After 3 weeks, this morning I tried to get into Pinch A Penny website and see my weekly test reports - not at all successful. Went to their store this morning and asked to seem my results over the past 3 weeks. Not in the system, so I manager (?) came out to help. He said the results are "in the back" and asked for my address, phone number and name. Comes back with "you're ph was....." and nothing else. I asked how I can see my results. Basically, you can't - at least not electronically through their portal. You can see the ones where they tested water you brought to the store. They don't have a way to enter them into the system. They also don't email you a weekly report, etc. You also don't get any indication they came to your house, like a sticker on your door. Is this important? YES IT IS. In the first visit they used one of those fill the vials and shake test unit, not a portal device similar to what they have in the store. Warning bells went off. That caused explore testing units. Leslie has a home unit, just like the one they use in the store that you can subscribe to for $50 a month, photo below. It gives you the same results, actions to take, formatted and printable just like what they give you in the store. I used it 5 times over the past couple of weeks. The reports show I wasn't getting any benefit from Pinch A Penny testing at my house. And I mean no benefit at all that I could determine. That's why I wanted to see reports. Consider all of your options before signing up for this.

Today the employee told me I had the wrong chemicals for my vinyl pool. Problem is I don't have a vinyl pool! He had me in the previous customers screen! Duh! They sent a service person (since was fired) sold me a new heater, pump and salt system. They didn't come the day they were supposed to and I waited until 1pm and called them. That's when they told me it was a Tuesday installation and the schedule changed. Follow up service person let cat out of the bag that all we really needed to get our system running again was a new filter. Apparently the filter was blocked and stopped the whole system up. It was an easy sell for service guy as I didn't know the difference. Ouch! Now we have a beautiful new system that we don't know how to use! Absolutely stinks to spend nearly 6 grand on a system you didn't have to get yet and not know how to use it. Called management (Suzie). Oh god, she seemed apologetic but did nothing for us. Called corporate and you guessed it, no action. I did get a call but all defensive. In sum, 1- rude employees 2- lied about diagnosis to upsell 3- system hard to use 4- corporate and management did nothing to right the wrong. Go elsewhere! Fast!

We just moved into our new home and had to get our pool acid washed due to black algae. We also had…read morea new pool pump installed and converted the system to salt water. I cannot say enough good things about Keith. Our pool went from having black walls to looking absolutely brand new. I was worried the acid wash might damage the surface, but Keith immediately put me at ease. He explained everything clearly and assured me there was nothing to worry about--he's handled even worse cases, especially after hurricanes. Not only did he do an incredible job on the acid wash, taking his time to make sure it came out perfect, but he also spent the entire day installing our equipment. Then he stayed even longer to teach us, as first-time pool owners, exactly how everything works--the pump, the salt generator, and all the tools we would need to keep the water properly maintained. On top of all of that, he even cleaned the entire pool deck just out of kindness. Keith is truly a wonderful person who genuinely cares about his work and the people he helps. Cara the owner, was very gracious and advised she would have Ben, her husband, come out and look at the spa pump. Ben came and looked at the pump and felt confident it could be repaired. He ordered the necessary parts and indicated he would let us know when it came in. In the meantime, we mentioned to the pool builder doing the resurfacing that we had contacted Dutchcraft Services to repair the pump. Marty, from US Pools without us asking, stated that Ben does great work and he also recommended them. How cool was that? Ben completed the work. we had a hiccup, not because of anything Ben had done wrong, but the company putting the pebble sheen had plugged the spa to avoid material going into the pipe. They unplugged it and the spa pump works like a charm!! The best part, Ben's price was very reasonable! We are sooo happy with it and we are using the spa more than we ever have! I love this family owned business, they care and are meticulous with their work. Working with Posh Pools was one of the most painful vendor experiences that I have ever…read moreencountered. Overall, the work that was done on my pool was pretty top notch. The vendor Posh used to lay the pavers went above and beyond and did a tremendous job. I am already using them on another project. The Posh employees that demolished and repaired my pool were hard working, easy to talk to/ask questions, informative, and did an overall tremendous job. However, the pain I encountered solely focused around the sales and management of our process. Up front, the sales rep promised us a project manager that would be in contact with me throughout the process. He promised daily emails with updates. He promised us a 2% discount if we purchased pavers and the pool repair. He told us the process would take no more than 10 days to complete once started. None of that came to fruition. The total start to finish time took 2 and a half months. During that time, a palate of pavers destroyed my front lawn sitting for several weeks. I had to pay to move a BBQ party to a paid venue (the party was scheduled 2 months away from the start date. I made a poor assumption that the delta between 10 days and 2 months would give us ample leg room). There was never a project manager in touch with me nor did I ever receive updates. I had to play a guessing game on whether or not someone would show up in my backyard that day, or the next, or the following. The only time I did get updates was when I called the main office. I guess the project manager was me? I, of course, never received the discount; and when I tried calling the rep out on it, he gave a bs excuse about how he "upgraded my tiles for free" and never returned another call. I have pictures proving the tiles are a base, not upgraded, tile. To add salt to the wound, the owner sends a really nice note thanking you for your business with his cell phone number on it to call if you need anything. You can call the number. He'll never call you back. I think I left somewhere between 6-8 different voicemails and emails. He called once. The only time he reached out to me was when he wanted his final check. For some reason, the check was desperately needed on the last day of the month, so I was requested to leave it outside in the open. I obliged despite not wanting to and made one simple request - send me a quick email so that I know you received it. Never happened. Overall, I am satisfied with the physical work that was done and the end result. However, the lies that were fed to get my sell and the lack of any sort of project management made this a horrifically stressful experience. I would have paid more money to simply have this done right.
