We are here to help animals, not judge people. If you find yourself in a position where you can no longer care for your pet, contact us. Many of our residents come to us after being abandoned. Farm animals don't make it in the wild, and often come to us injured and traumatized because their former owners didn't know where to turn and simply released them, or worse.

History

Established in 2015.

Florida Rescue Farm is located in Duette, Florida. We have a small homestead and sanctuary on 5-acres of land in Southwest Florida. When we moved here our first farm animals were a flock of 5 chickens purchased as chicks from the local feed store. As our homestead grew we were often contacted by local animal rescue organizations and individuals who had farm animals that needed a good home. We learned from all of them and reaped the many benefits they offered. After several years of this we obtained our 501(c)3 non-profit license so we could expand our reach to help more animals and educate people about the benefits and challenges involved in raising livestock.

Meet the Business Owner: Kelly M.

Florida Rescue Farm is a relatively new non-profit, but one that fills a great need in our area. Many wonderful people find themselves in a situation where they can no longer care for their livestock and it is extremely difficult to find a home for these animals where they will not end up on a dinner plate. I feel very fortunate to be part of an organization that provides long and short term homes for these deserving animals and also provides their former owners with a sense of security, knowing their pets have found a safe haven.
