I included my email sent to the company after my wedding with them in Bonita Springs on 1/16/2016. To the last post who said Debbie did not get back - I can only think that is impossible. If it weren't for her I would have never known anything. She called or e-mailed back same day or next day with complete color coded information and bold to highlight the most important items. They thought of everything and kept me organized every step of the way... I can only feel offended for them reading that right before I add my own... a non-refundable deposit is exactly that - non-refundable. Okay now on to the good stuff! Here is my e-mail I just sent them 2 days ago after my wedding last weekend: Pictures to come as soon as I get them! I want to extend a very serious thank you to you and the Florida Wedding staff. Everything was absolutely perfect. It was the best day of my whole life! I could not have pulled it off with out you guys. I had the most stress free wedding day. I knew walking on to the beach I did not have to worry about anything being perfect. I felt from the very beginning that everything was very well covered. The attention to detail was so impeccable. All my guests kept saying they don't know how I pulled that off from 1200 miles away. I kept telling them it was so easy thanks to you guys. You made it incredibly easy to do everything. Scott was a 'steady hand' and inspiration to us on our wedding day, calling in the early afternoon to let us know he was thinking of us and that he was in route to Naples to prepare. At the wedding site Scott's leadership helped to prepare the site and our wedding party and families for their part in the ceremony. Upon my arrival Scott helped me to feel confident that all was in place and guided me to focus on and relish the reverence of the moment. Don't use this company! There are so many reasons I would never, ever use this company if I had it to do over again, and I would never recommend them to another bride. I work in the customer experience field, albeit in a very different industry, and I can tell you this ranks among the worst that I've heard. First off, Daylen was extremely difficult to deal with from the outset. My husband and I wanted to have the digital images of all of the photos from our wedding, and for whatever reason, this became an argument and multiple phone calls. This is probably when I should have canceled and made alternate plans. Debbie was nicer to deal with in general, but she stressed my husband out so much so that he had to opt out of those conversations after the first couple. Debbie mentioned to us multiple times that we would want to have a "plan b" option for our wedding *in case* it rained. What was not mentioned was that we were getting married in RAINY SEASON, and not only that, but hurricanes were a possibility. I do not live anywhere near a coastline and have never even heard of "rainy season". I would never have thought to research such a thing, plus, what exactly did I pay them for? A good wedding consultant would have thoroughly explained all of the possibilities, even remote ones, as I can assure you that the weather was the last thing on my mind. What I have surmised from this is they weren't forthcoming because they didn't want me to change my mind and cancel the plans (read as they wouldn't get our money). We paid extra for a violinist to play at the extremely small ceremony we had planned, but a tropical depression happened to hit the day of our wedding, literally. I have never experienced a storm like that in my life. There were tornadoes in a neighboring town! We had to cancel the violinist because we moved the wedding into our bungalow and there was simply no room. Daylen called me while I was at the salon with my family (being told the bridges to the island were going to be closed and that my officiant and photographer may not even make it...) and badgered me about canceling her. He repeatedly reminded me that the weather was not his fault (thanks for stating and then restating the obvious) and we would get zero back on that reservation. He then recommended that we change our date! I, of course, am not blaming these folks for the weather, but I do blame Daylen for his lack of professionalism and how he chose to treat me, the customer, as a result. The level of disrespect that he had for me was quite clear in every single one of our interactions, not just that phone call, which ended with me terminating the call while he scolded me. Thankfully, the officiant & photographer arrived and were extremely sweet people. My family and I had a great day despite Daylen and the weather, and my husband and I made a fun memory out of something that could have been quite the opposite. I emailed Debbie afterwards (the only person we felt at all comfortable with) just to let her know how disappointed we were with our experience, and Daylen responded from her email address! Are you kidding me?! That kind behavior is just scary, to be honest. Needless to say, I had a terrible experience with this company. read more

To all fellow brides out there DO NOT use Florida weddings, they are seriously overpriced, when you ask one of the planner(Debbie) for reconmendations on dj, reception site, photographer she does not get back with you for over two months until you cancel with them 171 days before wedding and they keep your deposit. SO HAPPY WITH FLORIDA WEDDINGS!!My daughter recently got married on March 16th 2017. Being a destination wedding a lot of the planning and communication was over the phone. Everyone was always available and quick to return phone calls or reply via email. Debbie the wedding planner was extremely descriptive helpful and always positive! Dale the minister and owner of Florida wedding was very efficient and descriptive when explaining the wedding ceremony and keeping us up to date and on track with specific detAils. Not only was the ceremony decorations everything my daughter wanted, the ceremony ran so smoothly and there wasn't a flaw. Her sunset wedding started and finished right on time with enough time afterwards that we had amazing photos taken of the bride and groom, wedding party, and guests and of the sunset.From the amazing videographer captured the ceremony and did an amazing job, while keeping back to not ruin the guest view of the wedding. The DVD was amazing. The violinist was extremely flexible in her range of songs she played from contemporary to modern music. Overall, my wife and I were happy, as well as the bride and groom. I used A Wedding Dream In Paradise and am so glad I did. They are the nicest and most professional people I've dealt with in ages! I wanted things to be memorable and simple and they absolutely hit the nail on the head. They were very quick to respond to my emails about any and everything I had questions/concerns about..they even helped me choose a place as a fall back just in case it rained!! I contacted Tiffany, Debbie, and Dale all the way from Illinois to start planning my Florida wedding ceremony and immediately they started working and helping me plan my dream ceremony. Since my ceremony didn't actually take place until 2011 I had the pleasure of working with Dale, Tiffany, and Debbie for well over a year. Communication with them was so easy. They answered all my questions promptly via email or phone. The wedding ceremony package I chose was very affordable and I truly felt all three employees helped tailor the package to exactly what I was hoping for. The ceremony turned out beautiful, the flowers were gorgeous, and the photographer was amazing. I couldn't have asked for anything more. Not worth the fees that they are charging. My experience with them was unorganized and not really that helpful. It took them quite some time to return e-mails or phone calls. I wouldn't necessarily call them a consulting firm. All they do is book you an officiant and photographer. As a matter of fact, the wedding was held up by us waiting for the officiant and the photographer. We started 15 minutes late due to them. If you have the internet, I would just go that way and save yourself the hassle of dealing with them. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. the picture and video experience was absolutely horrible. the only saving grace is the decorations- this is EXACTLY as advertised. if anything hire them only to set up, do not waste your money for any other service offered. hire an independent photographer and videographer and have a friend do a speaker set up or something. they messed up every single day of aspect of my wedding, the photographer and videographer acted like they had never done a wedding, then they refused to do even minor editing to the photos. the editing to the video was cringe-worthy- I am pretty sure its the same quality i did back in high school when i took the TV production class. graphics, cuts and cues were just horrible. they had no eye for weddings at all. it ended up not being such a bargain either. a year later and I still haven't ordered prints because they photos were so abysmal i don't want them in my house. and honestly a shutterfly album is the way to go, they offer a dated photo album with unprofessional, unedited, point and shoot photos. my guests took better photos. i tried to get the photographers info so i could review him alone since he was the worst of the whole experience. but they refused to give me more than a first name. clearly he was an amateur who had no business shooting a wedding. photographer: rude. kept snapping his fingers and yelling "heyheyhey" to get peoples attention or make them move. I kept asking him to stop taking posed pictures under the arch and he kept snapping away while i was talking. he put a black bobby pin in my hair to keep the wind away but failed to mention it was visible in EVERY SINGLE SHOT and then would not edit an single one. he did ZERO directing, had absolutely no eye for photography, let alone wedding photography. he would take a shot and after every photo (even during the ceremony) check his digital window, as a result he missed half the bridesmaids and the moment my husband first saw me. he gave me zero feedback during the shoot so most of the pictures turned out absolutely horrible. my wedding was nearly a year ago and I never even ordered the prints because they were so bad. video: the photographer kept stepping in the shot. the videographer took footage before the ceremony and told people, including my mother and husband, to PRETEND i was walking down the aisle. he then spliced those shots into the final because his camera was on a tripod filming only me walking down the entire aisle. it was so fake and horribly done! amateur at best. the few directions he had were very dated- I'm talking 1980s end shots. then a final nail in the coffin, I had a single balloon to mark the beach entrance for the guests (so they wouldn't walk down the aisle) and his expert vision of a wedding video resulted in an opening shot to the wedding video showing the single, blue foil, star balloon blowing in the wind dramatically. i mean really.... really. Finally the florist forgot one of my bridesmaids bouquets. thanks. so one bridesmaid did not have a bouquet in everything and it was painstakingly clear........ read more

VERY Highly Recommended!! I live in Indiana and we got married in Destin Florida so it's extremely hard not bringin the same state to plan a wedding at least that's what I thought. But Debbie and Dale basically did everything for me they called me to catch up on my decisions and they also answered or emailed me back soo quickly when I would ask a million questions even if Iv already asked before. They all made it so extremely easy to plan a wedding and such less stressful having to worry about anything . They set me up with Brice to marry us and a photographer and I asked her for a videographer to add onto my package and she sent me pictures and videos so I could see their work and at first I thought it was going to be so weird and awkward meeting my event planner that was hired for the day off and the officiant and photographer knowing I have never met them before. But walking down to the beach and meeting them they were Extremly friendly and made me feel like I have known them forever! And my event planner for the day Of called me multiple times that day to keep me up to date on what I needed to know for plans. If I could do it all over again I would and have Florida weddings do it again. They made my day perfect and so easy and less stressful. My video and pictures were perfect and have had so many people compliment me on them and also that my wedding video made them cry. It was all just beautiful!! I can not thank Florida weddings enough for all their hard work,basically doing everything for me, and being so helpful and friendly. I want to start out by saying in the beginning when I signed the contract and booked my wedding date with Florida Weddings, things were great. Dale was actually friendly and had customer service skills(Obviously....since he wanted me to pay and sign a contract). Dale really knows how to sell his company to inquiring customers. Debbie was great, she was friendly and prompt at returning emails and phone calls and very helpful in the planning process. Tiffany seemed sweet but scatterbrained and unorganized. Everything seemed great leading up until 3 days before my wedding. I had just arrived in Florida from Utah and was having a nice relaxing dinner when I get a phone call from Dale basically accusing me of not paying the last 200 dollars owed and was saying "I just don't understand how this slipped through the cracks, this has to be paid now" even though I paid it 3 weeks prior to my wedding. So needless to say, that pissed me off and had me frazzled and ruined a nice family dinner. I found my receipt and emailed it to Dale and of course he turned it around on me and said "I told you I believed you that you paid, its not like I didn't believe you". The day of my wedding shockingly went off without a hitch, thanks to the officiant. Brice was amazing and conducted a beautiful ceremony. After returning to Utah and receiving my wedding pictures, there were pictures with a big, black speaker in them and several pictures that had green seaweed in them, which clearly is no ones fault, its the beach, there will be seaweed. I asked Dale if some of the pictures could be edited because there weren't a whole lot that were worthy of hanging on my wall in my home. Dale acted as though it were the end of the world to get these pictures edited. I mentioned my bangs were a little out of place and to see if Anna could edit that, and his reply was "Well it is windy on the beach".. DUH DALE, I realize that. Dale is incredibly rude, completely degrades women, and just makes everything much more difficult than it should be. This company is overpriced and Dale is not worth the headache!!!!!!! Dale, our officiant, made us feel completely comfortable and our ceremony was just as we had imagined. Debbie, our coordinator, helped us along the way with any questions we had, and answered them quickly. They gave us recommendations for hotels, salons and even restaurants, and I utilized them as much as I could. Tiffany did our beautiful florals swags, bouquet and boutonniere. We got married in Destin, FL in late April. The planning experience I had with A Wedding Dream in Paradise was actually pretty good overall, especially while I was dealing directly with Debbie, who was a very pleasant and attentive lady that simplified the process for us and made follow-up phone calls as our date was approaching. The only problem I ran into during the planning process is that they were a little late in booking a harpist for our ceremony and so by the time they started calling musicians, there was hardly anybody available on our date. After many phone calls by Debbie (she tried very hard) we finally found a violinist that was available so decided to just go with the violin instead of the harp that we originally wanted. Unfortunately, our violinist was practically impossible to get in touch with. The only time she ever returned my emails or calls was when the company called her directly and asked her to respond to me. I didn't have my music selections or even a verbal confirmation from her that she will be there until the day before the wedding! That added some stress to the process for me. It all worked out in the end, however, when she came and played beautifully during our ceremony and reception. The day of our ceremony, one of the staff came to the beach and set up our chairs with bows, our canopy and all our other decorations about 3.5 hours before the event. That would have been fine if they stayed to make sure that everything stayed looking nice by the time all our guests arrived but, unfortunately that was not the case. The wind blew almost all our chairs upside down, it rained on our decor, including the chairs, that were soaking wet up until our guests arrived. Our canopy cover was blown off completely off the poles. I was looking down from my hotel room on this mess 10 minutes before I had to walk down the isle and was so upset because I couldn't reach anybody from the company on the phone to come and fix this. Our guest had to turn the chairs, wipe them down with towels that thankfully our hotel provided, and then right when the ceremony was supposed to start the photographer got in touch with the set-up guy to come and fix the canopy cover (which he didn't even do, he just took it off). Other than this horrible fail everything else went very well. Our photographer was lovely, the nice man who officiated our ceremony did a fantastic job, and our photos came in the mail at a decent time. When I wrote to the company about what had happened I got a response from Daylen, who pretty much told me that he heard that there was no problems and that everything started on time. I think that Daylen needs a little bit of training in dealing with customer complaints in a more understanding and compassionate manner or just let someone else, like Debbie, deal with the customers all together! I didn't enjoy my communications with him one bit! Overall, I would suggest using another company if you are someone who wants everything to be perfect and don't want to stress on your wedding day at all. There are so many great companies in Florida that do beach weddings there is really no reason to compromise! read more

Planning a destination wedding can be very difficult, but they made everything so easy and simple from the beginning it was so incredibly perfect. I am still amazed at what a wonderful job Dale, Tiffany and company did for us. We were undecided as to how to plan our beach wedding, I did a lot of investigation and was floored by how pricey it could be. I then called Florida weddings and was pleasantly surprised and the full service they offered at a very affordable price. I'll admit my expectations were kind of low considering the price, wow, were we wrong! Everything was absolutely perfect and really stress free. We did plan our wedding on short notice but Dale and crew got us up to speed in no time, totally stress free. They were really on top of everything and answered all of our questions before we even asked. The service was absolutely beautiful, from the simple decorations (our choice), the flowers were exquisite and incredibly beautiful, Dale performed a very touching, heartfelt service that had everyone in tears and our photographer Scott was wonderfully helpful and accommodating. Our daughters are sold and know they will call on Dale and Tiffany when they plan their weddings and we plan to use them for a vow renewal on our anniversary.
