Oh Florie's... How I love thee! How I remember my younger days and you used to be in the Heart of Smithtown where I believe Crazy Crepe is. How I'd get so excited to come home from school to find that my mom brought me home a goodie like one of her famous Brownies bites. Enter the present Florie's... It is still awesome and a little off the beaten path now. Not so much beaten but may be a little out of the way for some. This in my opinion is NOT your typical bakery where you can get a cheesecake and a loaf of Italian bread but you can get delicious brownie bites or a Linzer Tart. Let me tell you something... these Linzer Tarts are out of this world! I'm not kidding. The Brownie Bites... Oh man! AGAIN! Out of this world. If Linzer Tarts and the Brownie Bites were to fight in a Boxing Match... My tastebuds would say that the Linzer Tarts KO's the Brownie Bites. I can't express enough how happy I am with Florie's Finales. I was looking for a place who did same day deliveries in Long Island. This was for a sympathy basket for a very good friend's father who passed away suddenly. I found Florie's after doing an online search. I put the order in early at 4 am today and has a response shortly after 5 am from Mike letting me know the order would be hand delivered today. On the instructions I wrote it could be left at the door since the viewing was that day and I didn't know if anyone would be home to sign for it. Mike said they would wait there until they came home if they had to. I've seriously never had such a personal level of service like that from any business. Late this afternoon I received a message from my friend letting me know she received the tray and it was delivered right as they all arrived back at the house after the first viewing. The delivery person must have been waiting there! They absolutely loved the basket of pastries and it was perfect timing since they came back so hungry. Thank you to Florie's for helping to make my friend and her family's very sad day a little brighter. My wife and I have been using Florie's for special occasions for years and have been very happy with them. Their stuff is delicious, the best around. But recently I've used them to ship outside of Long Island. I ordered via the website and asked to get the order out the same day so it can be delivered the next day via UPS. To my satisfaction they delivered as promised!! I called just to check-up on the order in the morning and the woman I spoke to was so very nice....she remembered working on the order herself and she kindly looked up the UPS tracking number so I can monitor the delivery myself. I live in Florida and I purchased an expensive tray of Raspberry Riffles for my daughter for her birthday but when the tray arrived, it only had six RR, not what I ordered! I feel this was a bait and switch game and would not recommend buying from this shop. I know it is a popular shop for the locals but I can't accept fraudulent behavior from the owner, who I spoke to directly when ordering the cookies.
