I am surprised to see the negative reviews of Park Bake shop on here honestly. We have been coming here since we moved to the area 5 years ago and this is honestly one the best we have ever had. The negative reviews are kind of funny because of what people are complaining about. One guy went here to get coffee? No, this is not the place to get coffee, walk in the door and see that, it's not what they do. I don't think they even have an espresso machine here. I do have to admit that Park Bake shop does do breads and bagels but they are not very good. I tried once or twice because they looked good but the taste just isn't there. But what they do well is cookies, cakes, and pastries. Pretty much anything in the cases are excellent. All the cookies are awesome, always fresh, and all reasonably priced. I love Park Bake shop and will continue to come here often! read more

Calling all Long Island vegans! Come visit this spot and try their delicious bakery quality vegan goods. I strolled by this spot and decided to pop in to see if they carried any vegan desserts. To my surprise they had a whole refrigerated section with vegan cakes, cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies, and some of the best donuts I've ever had! Not only was everything I bought so tasty and fresh, but also extremely affordable. I got a 6 pack of giant cupcakes (with filling) and a 4 pack of donuts for only $21. They also do custom orders for weddings or any event. Please support this spot as they have something for everyone including gluten free, salt free, sugar free, or just classic Italian pastries. read more

I stopped in specifically for coffee because I yelped coffee near me and this is what came up. So I got coffee there. I got a vanilla latte. It was like the type of coffee you get out of a machine in a hospital or something like that. I also ordered some biscotti. May ask for one of everything they have. The lady gave me six pastries. Three didn't even seem like biscotti to me. And there were other ones there that I would have liked better that she did not give me. So that's my bad for not paying attention and assuming she would just give me the ones that look like biscotti. The cakes and pastries look pretty but I wasn't there for that. And I do know this is a bakery. So besides the coffee not being good the biscotti was just average. The place is very cute. The staff is very friendly. Everybody was preoccupied with the baby that was there. The baby was very Cute. I wouldn't go out of my way to stop here. read more

This place is adorable. Everything looks so fresh. We had a hard time deciding what to get because it all looked so good. We choose a cinnamon roll, a beautifully decorated flower cupcake and a chocolate cigar. My daughter also had an iced flavored coffee. Everything was absolutely delicious and fresh. All the girls working there are so sweet and friendly. We will definitely come back to try some other goodies. read more

Most of the bakery product are fresh and delicious. There are a couple of standouts: apple/cherry lattice pie, chocolate covered brownies, and the jelly cronuts. All are delicious! The Sfogliatelles are hit or miss. This bakery shop sells reasonably priced baked goods and they have a selection for people who eat GF. The staff is friendly and efficient. read more

Horrible experience during a routine purchase. The order I placed included. Personalized cake for my 4 year old grandson.i ordered extra decorations. .. went over the order and spelling of his name. I go pick up this cake and I see it's nothing like I ordered.!! No decorations name spelt incorrectly!!!!! So I ask for the manger... now I've been coming here since 2000, and never had an issue. Well she said after I made my point ... go see the guy who took your order ..DISMISSED ME AND WALKED AWAY !!!!! Seriously. I bought many cookie trays for Christmas gifts this year, and they were terrible! They call them "butter cookies ", but there wasn't an ounce of butter in them. My guess is that they used Crisco or some type of lard as it is a cheap alternative. Tasteless ! read more

Our office got an apple crumb cheesecake and a platter of italian cookies and they were all amazing. The italian cookies were some of the best I have had on the island: soft, flavorful, fresh. The cheesecake was also incredible: so flavorful but not heavy at all. Highly recommend! read more

I was happy to stop by a few weeks ago. I bought a delicious chocolate cake and the wonderful "cake angel" put happy birthday on it! It was a few days late but I figured I might as well celebrate! The crew (and kind customers) all wished me a great day! I told her how my aunt and uncle swore by the place and now I know why! I believe Park Bake Shop is a solid, all around, old-school bakery. A friend mentioned they have amazing donuts here, specifically a Boston cream "kronut" so although this is nowhere near my house I had to head over to Kings Park to check it out. The kronut left me somewhat disappointed since they layers didn't hold up and all came together like a regular donut. There was no texture to it. I was expecting a crisper outside and flaky inside. The cream inside may have affected texture as well, and I didn't like the taste of the cream. I preferred the French cruller, which had nice air pockets but was overall mushy and sweet. Although I wouldn't come back for the donuts I tried a simple cupcake that we brought home and I thought the fluffy buttercream frosting was delicious along with the soft cake. They make a lot of interesting, beautiful baked goods here. There are tables where you can sit and enjoy your items. Self-serve coffee, but NO free refills. They seem like a fairly popular bakery judging by the flow of Saturday morning customers. They also have a great location down the road from Sunken Meadow beach. I would return if I was in the area to give something else a shot. read more

I absolutely love your baked goods . Food is absolutely. delicious the service is absolutely wonderful. They are very helpful. The place is extremely clean spotless. You can eat off the floor. I've had this chocolate cake twice now. Once for a birthday and another time for a different celebration at the office. This is the best chocolate cake that I've ever had. It is decadent and rich. Every bite was a euphoric experience. If you're chocolate lover, get this cake. It reminds me of having a delicious brownie, but it's a cake. I'm usually not a cake guy, but this blew me off my feet. Nice neighborhood bake shop old school string machine for the white boxes. And AMAZING brownies. And super delicious Italian cookies. We will be back when in town YUM. I would have given "5" stars however the last 2 times the staff just looked at us and were not happy to be there. We had to ask who would like to take our order. However the treats are so good I guess there is no real reason to be friendly when taking the order. It may be a generational thing. LOL. read more

Needed something to settle my sweet tooth . Decided on this King's park local bakery . We have had some of their desserts at family events and they were yummy so I went for it . I was craving a cupcake bad ! Me and my daughter walked in an hour before they close and they still had a nice selection . Settled on a confetti cupcake for me and a flower cupcake for her and also scored a brownie and choc covered pretzel since they called us from behind the glass . Let's start with the vanilla vanilla cup cake . This thing was HUGE, it was the size of my whole hand . And it was delicious . Cake was perfect and not crumbly the frosting was rich and creamy butter cream . Nailed it . Only thing if I had to criticize would be a little less frosting . This thing was loaded ! Was only $3.50 My daughters cupcake ( $3) tasted just as good but I didn't get much it was hers also she ate up the brownie ($3)before I got to try it . She did say it was so frigging yummy tho! And finally the choc covered pretzel ($3.50). I guess their theme is over sized desserts because again this thing was huge ! It's not exactly a pretzel tho it's more like a puff pastry dough or croissant dough shaped like a pretzel and drowned in chocolate. Not salty. Park bake shop is awesome! My family and I have been here several times and their gluten free and dairy free is large and delicious! I recently ordered a DF cake for my daughter's birthday and it was amazing. Staff (especially Lucy) was very kind and accommodating to changing the date my cake was due multiple times. The manager at this place is extremely rude and needs to learn how to treat customers. My girlfriend bought cookies that were labeled parve because she has a dairy allergy. When she got home, she realized butter was listed as one of the ingredients and decided to drive 20 min back to the bakery to exchange the cookies for ones that were dairy free. The dairy free cookies were more money, $6 more to be exact, but since they were the ones who messed up, my girlfriend asked if they could cover the difference. The manager rolled her eyes and very rudely said "I'm not doing that" and just walked away. No apology, no trying to make the situation right, nothing. That's how you treat a customer? Especially during the holidays?? No excuse for that. Safe to say we'll be taking our business elsewhere. read more

A great local bakery- we're never disappointed! Years ago I custom ordered peanut butter and jelly donuts for my dad's birthday. They became a custom order for his birthday and Father's Day for many years to follow, as they were his favorite. They're now available daily for all to enjoy! If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. Their cakes are delicious but their service is the worst I've ever come across in any industry. I ordered a birthday cake for my husband who has celiac disease- which is why I was a repeat customer at this bakery. The cake was ordered 2 weeks before pickup and they charged me $10 to ensure that I actually come and pick it up- no problem there. I called the day of pickup to check their hours of operation and inform them I'd be coming a bit later in the day than I originally said when I ordered the cake. When I got there, to my dismay, they had forgotten to make my husband's birthday cake. The employees look like they are about 14-16 years old and are not equipped to handle any issues. The owner was not in the establishment and couldn't be reached by phone. The employees made it sound like it was my fault- who did I order it with? Was I in the right place? Where is my order number? They stopped asking me questions when I showed them that my credit card was charged the deposit. Then they found the order ticket and said they forgot to have the cake made. WOW! I had my husband (happy birthday) in the car waiting to go to his birthday party. The employees had me wait around 15 minutes so the baker could "throw something together." I inquired about the price. Magically, the owner suddenly was available and offered to give me a whopping $3 off my $29 cake for my inconvenience. Why thank you! The cake finally came out and HAD MY HUSBAND's name spelled wrong! And was not nearly as nice as the prior cakes I've purchased there. How could anyone make a quality cake in 15 minutes? I walked out with no cake in hand and my husband had no cake on his birthday. Since he has Celiac Disease, it's impossible to find a replacement cake in such a short time. Thanks Lucy for being a great businesswoman. I'll warn everyone within my vicinity to never visit your bakery. Thanks for ruining my husband's special day and thanks for your superior customer service. read more

Awful customer service. Be aware if you place an order, good chance they mess it up! Also, if they mess up on your order, they could care less. It's a shame because their baked goods are pretty good. Ownership needs to take "ownership" on their mistakes and do right by their customers. Should create a culture of Customer Service! read more
