The waiting area has coffee makers and a play station for the kids. The Dentist, Hygienist, and Assistant were all wonderful! The hygienist told me everything she was going to do before she did it. I am a nervous patient and she was made me feel very comfortable. I had X-rays, exam, cleaning, Velscope (to check for cancerous cells) and a fluoride treatment. The prices were very reasonable. When I asked about it, they said that's standard practice. Not sure if that's true for dental billing but it's 100% fraudulent for medical especially since the billing provider never even saw the patient. I also had to pay out of pocket for my crown because the office did not submit the notes to insurance and didn't inform me until it was past timely filing. Super incompetent, it would have been paid if they submitted the medical notes.

So I have had quite a bit of dental work here. 4 implants total. I have never experienced…read morerudeness here, in fact they have been very helpful and pleasant. There have been a few hiccups which they have resolved when I spoke with them. I have a really big fear of dental work. When I first started with treatment I had 2 failed crowns that had to have pulled, one of my back teeth was very difficult to get out I think because the root was too long or something. However the attempt to pull that tooth out was very painful and could not seem to be numbed as well as the other side. They finally called in someone to help and it worked, but it was very painful and added to my anxiety. After those implants were complete I had a front tooth break and needed both front teeth replaced. The financial person, Jollee was very helpful I had seen her at my first visit and she worked with my insurance and me to understand everything financially. When moving to my next procedures Jollee had moved "across" the street to their surgical center, so I had spoken with someone else and that experience was not as clear cut as Jollee, when I had my front tooth experience Jollee was back thank goodness and helped me understand my previous quotes and everything financially up to date. She is pleasant, kind and helpful. I also spoke with her about some of my previous experience with anxiety and why and she offered nitrous oxide and it was extremely helpful. It would be helpful to have an after visit summary as most of the time my anxiety is so high I have very little comprehension after the surgeries. My partner was always there thank goodness and they were able to give her my care plan. Dr. Pham was my initial dentist and now is Dr. Das, all the dentist/ surgeons have been helpful and kind. The environment is very clean and pleasant. I do recommend Clear Lake Dental. A lot of concerns can be alleviated by asking questions until everyone is clear on the expected outcome. If they offer a dental plan outside of your budget say no, and see if there is a less expensive plan. I did not give a 5 star because right now I have been waiting over a week for confirmation about a balance due. I don't want to get a text about a balance due without reviewing a statement. So hopefully they will send via email as I have asked via text and email.

I'd prefer they do their job rather than crediting us months after the service. We received a letter explaining it months after the fact. So how are we to know that you are charging correctly?! Their staff is not there to provide a service. I became a patient with them and explained how sensitive my teeth were. We, myself and Dr. Hannah Dickson, agreed on how to proceed with the cleaning. I needed a new nightguard and she instructed me it would be $200 for a hard night guard, not the soft one that I had. I wanted a replacement, soft like I had and was pretty much told they don't like doing that. It was hard or nothing. I agreed to the hard one, received it, and they fitted it. It was so hard that it suctioned to my teeth. It was uncomfortable and risked a cap that I have on my teeth. So I stopped using it. In 6 months, I went back for my next cleaning. I again requested the same process used in my prior cleaning. I was told that we didn't the process to treat for my sensitive teeth. Thankfully I was insistent and they reviewed my records to see I was correct before proceeding. We once again discussed the night guard and I insisted on a soft one. I was told it would be another $200 for the mold. I was not treated as if I had any part in my treatment plan or really as if my opinion on treatment mattered. I have spoken to their office manager several times, each time looking for clarity and each time met with rudeness and the attitude that she is doing me a favor. My advice is to find a different dentist, different office.
