Mine and my husband's first time there this last weekend. (Lake Zurich) The facility is very clean,…read morequiet, and tranquil. Some reviewers stated that the water was cold. ‍ Both of ours were very warm. I actually had to end my 60 minute session 20 minutes early because the heat/steam was affecting my breathing. I don't remember the staff's name that was there, but she was very friendly. She suggested that to help my breathing, on my next visit to leave the tub door open a little. You only have 6 minutes prior to session to get out of your clothes and shower before going into the tub. You also only have 6 minutes after your session to shower and get dressed. I was able to doze on and off during my float, but knowing I only had 6 minutes afterwards made it hard to fully relax. If you're a person that is always warm or gets hot easily I highly recommend you bring a small battery operated fan. I could hardly get my clothes back on due to being overheated. It's like trying to get dressed while you're in a sauna. They only provide one bath towel. Next time I'll bring one with me so I have an extra. I had to get out of that room to cool off and finish getting dressed in the other room, but the towel was wrapped around my hair. I put on my undergarments and scurried to the other room. It's not any cooler outside of the floating room. I also suggest bringing water with you to drink, unless you like room temperature water. That's what's offered to you. My drinking water needs to be cold in order for me to drink it. The earplugs are awesome. They're like rubbery so that you can shape them to fit. They're not regular earplugs that you insert into your ear like headphones. They are very comfortable. I will definitely go back...bringing a fan and towel with me. Also, there is no "warm" water for the shower. Your choices are hot and cold. I hope this review helped you. Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured due to repeated negative encounters with one employee--Rochelle. Despite the calming and restorative nature of the space, Rochelle's attitude and unprofessional behavior made visits increasingly uncomfortable. She was consistently dismissive, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. After giving it the benefit of the doubt multiple times, we finally decided to bring our concerns to the attention of the owner, Gloria. To our disappointment, Gloria did nothing to address the situation. We had hoped for some form of accountability or at least an open, honest conversation, but instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely. We didn't want to cancel our membership--we genuinely loved the service and the concept--but we're not willing to support a business that allows one toxic employee to undermine the entire experience, especially when leadership refuses to take responsibility. Sadly, we've since canceled our membership and won't be returning. I hope Float Sixty takes customer feedback more seriously in the future--for the sake of others who still value what it could be.

After learning more about the parasympathetic nervous system, I came across sensory deprivation floating as something to try - enter Float Sixty. Honestly, I was skeptical at first - would I be paying a lot of money to float in a big tub with the lights off and earplugs in? Would I even be able to relax, and for a whole hour? Well, I'm here on Yelp to tell you it was a wonderful and soothing experience. From the minute I walked in, I was welcomed and (since it was my first time floating) everything was explained thoroughly. I had float suite 2, which has its own shower and comes equipped with essentials like ear plugs. I ended up wearing a bathing suit and didn't feel it impeded my experience - it actually helped me feel more comfortable. Part of the time I was able to relax and float in silence, and the rest of the time I played relaxing tones/music from my phone which I really enjoyed but do not recommend bringing the phone into the chamber since it will accumulate salt. I wish there was an ambient light option and speaker option in the chamber to customize the experience but I understand that defeats the sensory deprivation idea. After the session, there are other rooms to relax in, and a vanity table with toiletries and a hair dryer. Unfortunately almost all of the hair products were empty so that was a bummer. There's also water and tea available after your session, and the tea was actually quite delicious. I would definitely recommend Float Sixty and will definitely be back for another session.

So we decided to try the couples one. Right now they only have one chamber but from my understanding they are in the process of obtaining another one. But honestly, it doesn't matter. Alex is like the nicest person you'll ever meet and makes sure you're extremely comfortable with the process as well as the atmosphere. Upstairs has a private bathroom and another device I haven't tried yet but intend to. The chamber fits two people more than comfortably. This may sound stupid (because the entire point is sensory deprivation) but after my first experience, I just wanted a very dim light (when they say 'pitch black' that is not an exaggeration). They do have them but you don't have to use them. They also have meditation music if you want it but don't have to. The showers are much nicer than the last place I went to. I loved it so much! I thought my husband was just doing this just to check a box but he actually said he wants to do it again. That surprised me. If I had a fancy job-thing I'd do this often. The only recommendation I have is stickers on the shower dispensers saying 'shampoo' and 'body wash'. Granted, Alex told me what they were but I forgot. :) I also never realized this little hidden 'downtown' area existed. it seems like all of the small business are there for each other as they advertise for one another. I think that is baller (yes, I'm 45 and still use the word 'baller'...and what?) We hit up the coffee shop that apparently has a concert venue upstairs. I wish they had a website but still, this is way more valuable real estate than I would have ever imagined.

Everything looks high-quality and organized, and it's obvious they put a lot of effort into creating a premium experience. The cryotherapy session was amazing. It was my first time trying it, and the staff explained the whole process clearly so I knew exactly what to expect. The equipment looked top tier and the whole experience felt safe and professionally handled. Afterward I genuinely felt refreshed, energized, and like my body had hit a reset button. If you're thinking about trying cryotherapy or a float spa, I would 100% recommend this place. It's a hidden gem in the area and easily one of the best wellness experiences I've had. I'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to friends.

When we got there, we started services, went to a waiting area for the massages and were told it wasn't booked as a couples, but they could do us separately so we reluctantly agreed. I went back, received a massage that was fine, but when I checked my phone my wife told me they never took her back. The story went from "your husband booked it wrong" to the masseuse had car troubles. They tried to offer other services that were not equal in value and we had taken PTO to have a relaxing day. They agreed to refund/not charge us. If it had ended there fine. BUT NOW. This owner is slandering my wife responding to a truthful review, saying she went ballistic and was violent, loud, and exposing herself. This is an absolute lie. Anyone who knows her knows she would never behave that way. Of course she voiced her frustration, but there was no screaming, or erratic behavior that the owner (WHO WASN'T THERE) describes in their pathetic response. The spa, by the way, did in fact charge me despite saying they wouldn't. Again, if they just admitted some fault and let it go, I probably wouldn't even dispute the charge since I did get a service. However, they told me they wouldn't charge, so they're going back on their word, and now even worse you're attacking my wife's character which is a complete lie and fabrication as a pathetic attempt to CYA. Well, now I will make sure your customers know the type of person they are dealing with. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS ESTABLISHMENT

Then to make matters worse, a similar pain moved into my right arm as well. I tried seeing my GP about the pain; I tried painkillers; I tried a chiropractor (10 visits) to no relief whatsoever! Finally, I made an appointment with Carla Gorsky at The Peaceful Heart. I was feeling so much better after two visits, but after three visits the pain was gone! Carla was able to really explore all the muscles and tissue surrounding my arm/shoulder and relieve so much pressure and pain. About two weeks ago I tweaked my knee, making it very difficult to bend my knee. I asked Carla to take a look and see what she could do. I left that session with much more movement and a lot less pain in my knee. Today (the day following our session) I was able to go to work in a busy preschool (which requires a lot of bending, kneeling, sitting, standing, etc) with ease. I can still feel a little twinge in the knee and I know I don't have full range of motion yet, but I know that I'm on the right track to wellness! Words cannot express how grateful I am that I found Carla! I was feeling so frustrated with my health and she has given me so much hope. Lastly, I'd like to say that Carla is just so delightful to work with. I am very self-conscious, and she (and her adorable dog, Charlie) made the whole experience very comfortable. Her home is peaceful and she really listens to what you're saying. I cannot recommend Carla Gorsky and The Peaceful Heart more!
