Mine and my husband's first time there this last weekend. (Lake Zurich) The facility is very clean,…read morequiet, and tranquil. Some reviewers stated that the water was cold. ‍ Both of ours were very warm. I actually had to end my 60 minute session 20 minutes early because the heat/steam was affecting my breathing. I don't remember the staff's name that was there, but she was very friendly. She suggested that to help my breathing, on my next visit to leave the tub door open a little. You only have 6 minutes prior to session to get out of your clothes and shower before going into the tub. You also only have 6 minutes after your session to shower and get dressed. I was able to doze on and off during my float, but knowing I only had 6 minutes afterwards made it hard to fully relax. If you're a person that is always warm or gets hot easily I highly recommend you bring a small battery operated fan. I could hardly get my clothes back on due to being overheated. It's like trying to get dressed while you're in a sauna. They only provide one bath towel. Next time I'll bring one with me so I have an extra. I had to get out of that room to cool off and finish getting dressed in the other room, but the towel was wrapped around my hair. I put on my undergarments and scurried to the other room. It's not any cooler outside of the floating room. I also suggest bringing water with you to drink, unless you like room temperature water. That's what's offered to you. My drinking water needs to be cold in order for me to drink it. The earplugs are awesome. They're like rubbery so that you can shape them to fit. They're not regular earplugs that you insert into your ear like headphones. They are very comfortable. I will definitely go back...bringing a fan and towel with me. Also, there is no "warm" water for the shower. Your choices are hot and cold. I hope this review helped you. I don't come for a lot of chit chat or want a lot of handholding, and I have always found the staff really perceptive and accommodating. For newbies, they do a very good job of getting you oriented without an overwhelming list of remember-such-and-so's. The accoutrements of float tanks are neatly arrayed and intuitive, e.g., ear plugs, petroleum jelly to cover an scratches or spots that would be irritated by the salinity of the water, towel, washcloth for pre- and post-float shower. The space itself is thoughtfully designed, soothing, and exceptionally clean. I have not tried the full rang of their float rooms/tanks but I'll vouch for the Samadhi tank (#OldSchool).

Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured due to repeated negative encounters with one employee--Rochelle. Despite the calming and restorative nature of the space, Rochelle's attitude and unprofessional behavior made visits increasingly uncomfortable. She was consistently dismissive, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. After giving it the benefit of the doubt multiple times, we finally decided to bring our concerns to the attention of the owner, Gloria. To our disappointment, Gloria did nothing to address the situation. We had hoped for some form of accountability or at least an open, honest conversation, but instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely. We didn't want to cancel our membership--we genuinely loved the service and the concept--but we're not willing to support a business that allows one toxic employee to undermine the entire experience, especially when leadership refuses to take responsibility. Sadly, we've since canceled our membership and won't be returning. I hope Float Sixty takes customer feedback more seriously in the future--for the sake of others who still value what it could be.

We were also able to do the BioCharger, but quickly learned it's best to leave your phone/wallet on the other side of the room to prevent damage haha. The float experience itself was amazing. A small private room to change and shower, then hop into the tank and float. We had bought the 90min package, which I'd 100% recommend as 60mins (in my opinion) is too short to FULLY deprive yourself of feeling. Personally, I would also recommend to instead purchase an individual float package. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the couple experience, but we both agreed it would have been much much more "depriving" without anyone else in the tank. The water was barely ever still, and it was easy to bump into each other. Overall, what an awesome way to destress and get away from the world for some time. It is truly an experience one should try at least once. Thanks!

Thank you Alex for providing such a profound experience both with the float and the BioCharger. I'm trying to get all my friends and family to come here! I can't rave enough about it! If you're thinking about trying cryotherapy or a float spa, I would 100% recommend this place. It's a hidden gem in the area and easily one of the best wellness experiences I've had. Then the next sentence brags about her business thriving and been around for 11 years. Her flotation pod has been around for 11 years and most likely has the same water in it, that's for sure! You could not pay me to return. I thought it would be something different to take my sister here for her birthday, terrible decision. First we went in the salt room that was highly recommended. It was cold and we were in there with 4 other people in chairs that were so uncomfortable it felt like we were sitting on a piece of plywood. Ok maybe the salt room was not for us but we were so excited for the "Floatation Therapy Tub"... The birthday gal went first. The sessions were 1 hour each at $74.00. My sister came out in less than 20 minutes. She told me to go in the room and tell her what it smells like. I walked in the room and was immediately met with an overwhelming body odor smell. I have 3 boys who play football, it was worse than the drive homes after practice on 90 degree nights with all 3 of them! The room had used towels on the floor and a "Shower" to rinse yourself that had a brownish red substance in the corners of the shower that was running into the middle. The worst part of it is when she told me to open the pod.... There was viable chunks, large chunks of hair floating in the tub and on the sides of the tub. The "jet" button was corroded, there was some floating squishy thing, maybe chlorine? I hope it was chlorine but I highly doubt it. The it was "purple" but it had white blotches, I presume bleach stains on several spots. Looks like it was the only one and was a few years old. I picked of this thing and was again met with a horrific stench, clumps of hair, and a substance that looked similar to curdled milk. I thought it was potentially salt but I put a piece between my fingers and it was slippery, slimy, and smelled like mold, vomit, and wet sweat. The pod was a small cesspool, in all seriousness it should be marketed as a "Cesspod".. I have never in my life been so disgusted in a wellness spa. We never entered the pod, gathered our things, and headed out before I voiced my experience to the girl at the front desk. She was kind but assured me the pod was cleaned after every use. Then was able to speak with the owner who does not even live in the state. Sue again assured me the pod gets cleaned after every use. The amount of filth that was in, around, in the water, tells a very, very different story. The hair... the clumps of hair... the stench of the room, the brown substance in the shower, the slimy, chunky, vomit squish thing. The plastic plywood, pokey netting well used beach chairs in the "group" salt room (which group session was never mentioned), literally everything. The owner went on to tell me since it is a small businesss they are not able to issue a refund but offered 2 free 30 minute massages only good for during the week because the weekends are the busy time. She did not even sound surprised, almost as if this is normal and she had excuses for everything. Not once did she apologize. I believe she feels if she speaks gentle and kind that should offset the atrocious experience. Never in my life have I been so disgusted with a wellness spa. $208.00 and a ruined birthday later, I can confidently say I will never return and politely declined the free 30 minute massages. I can already imagine how unsanitary those massage tables are. The owner should be ashamed of herself, I have no idea how this place is still allowed to remain open. If any health officials come across this review, I strongly urge you to schedule an inspection immediately.

Then to make matters worse, a similar pain moved into my right arm as well. I tried seeing my GP about the pain; I tried painkillers; I tried a chiropractor (10 visits) to no relief whatsoever! Finally, I made an appointment with Carla Gorsky at The Peaceful Heart. I was feeling so much better after two visits, but after three visits the pain was gone! Carla was able to really explore all the muscles and tissue surrounding my arm/shoulder and relieve so much pressure and pain. About two weeks ago I tweaked my knee, making it very difficult to bend my knee. I asked Carla to take a look and see what she could do. I left that session with much more movement and a lot less pain in my knee. Today (the day following our session) I was able to go to work in a busy preschool (which requires a lot of bending, kneeling, sitting, standing, etc) with ease. I can still feel a little twinge in the knee and I know I don't have full range of motion yet, but I know that I'm on the right track to wellness! Words cannot express how grateful I am that I found Carla! I was feeling so frustrated with my health and she has given me so much hope. Lastly, I'd like to say that Carla is just so delightful to work with. I am very self-conscious, and she (and her adorable dog, Charlie) made the whole experience very comfortable. Her home is peaceful and she really listens to what you're saying. I cannot recommend Carla Gorsky and The Peaceful Heart more!
