I had a very disappointing experience with Perspire Sauna Studio Downers Grove. I signed up under a…read morepromotional rate of approximately $80, but the promotion did not clearly disclose that I would automatically be charged the full regular membership rate the following month. After noticing the unexpected charge, I promptly submitted a cancellation request. I submitted my cancellation well before the next billing cycle, providing screenshots confirming that the request was submitted and delivered. Despite this, I was charged again. The studio later claimed they did not receive my cancellation request until after the billing date, disregarding my earlier documented attempt. I had not even used the facility since April, yet the charges continued. My membership has only been canceled after multiple follow-up emails and threats to escalate the matter. Consumers should be very cautious about the billing and cancellation practices here. My issue has been escalated to the owner. I have shown proof of submitting the cancellation and proof of email that was not responded to. Clearly their communication channels are broken. Yet, instead of refunding the $160 which is clearly warranted, I was asked to remove my review. Unless the owner assumes I made this up for the pleasure of their correspondence and my wasted time, this fails logical scrutiny. Accordingly, I decided to file a BBB complaint. Also, scroll through their full reviews. I'm not the first person to have this experience. However, I suspect they are paying for their top reviews to be elevated. As someone that has lived in DuPage country for over thirty years, we don't do business this way. Integrity is a must and once our community discovers you have none, we will not do business with you. In my experience, the handling of this matter is highly amateurish, unprofessional, dismissive, and inconsistent with fair consumer practices. The promotional rates are misleading, and the cancellation process is unnecessarily difficult. I will not use Perspire again.

And I was only asked about pressure for the massage rather than problem areas or what I didn't what worked on; it wasn't a problem for me but I know others would be thrown off by that, especially if they get massages elsewhere.

I think she left the room approximately 4 times during my massage and never covered me up. She sat on my butt w/ a towel in between to do a portion of the massage. A small private room to change and shower, then hop into the tank and float. We had bought the 90min package, which I'd 100% recommend as 60mins (in my opinion) is too short to FULLY deprive yourself of feeling. Personally, I would also recommend to instead purchase an individual float package. My girlfriend and I enjoyed the couple experience, but we both agreed it would have been much much more "depriving" without anyone else in the tank. The water was barely ever still, and it was easy to bump into each other. Overall, what an awesome way to destress and get away from the world for some time.
