I came here for a first time float and overall had a good experience. It's kind of a weird location, down the stairs into a basement by some boxes and random furniture. I booked the King room for the float but it felt small. There was a shower, a place to sit, and the entrance to the float tank which was in the shower. I thought it would've been nice to have at least a sink and mirror in the room, and ideally also a bathroom. I did get water when I asked for it, but I think it would be great to provide it to everyone. The tank felt quite small--I actually bumped into the edges several times which was disorienting. It also felt hot, definitely above body temperature for me, and I was sweating during the second half. I also thought the six minutes given to shower at the beginning felt too short, and I definitely missed the beginning of the float. I felt rushed even though I arrived early (but I did end 15 minutes after so it wasn't rushed on the back end). It also was really difficult to hear the start signal since you're supposed to put the earplugs in before you shower. Overall I personally wouldn't plan to return but it was a pretty decent experience. Also, I wear contacts but didn't have issues leaving them in during the float (also you have to bring your own case and there isn't anywhere to put glasses in the tank). They mentioned there were hair products but there was no mirror or anything in the room besides shampoo and conditioner, so that must've been in some other room that no one directed me to.

I can't believe I've lived in River North for almost 5 years and have just heard about this place! Definitely a hidden gem. The spa is beautiful! Such a luxe, relaxing ambiance. I had a lymphatic massage with Maya which was incredible! Great pressure and super friendly. They use their hands and wood tools (the wood tools do not hurt and actually feel good/do a good job of activating blood flow that can be hard to do with just hands, especially in the legs). I bought a package of 3 massages, I was that impressed/pleased with my treatment. Can't wait to be back!

Unfortunately, our experience was completely soured due to repeated negative encounters with one employee--Rochelle. Despite the calming and restorative nature of the space, Rochelle's attitude and unprofessional behavior made visits increasingly uncomfortable. She was consistently dismissive, unaccommodating, and at times outright rude. After giving it the benefit of the doubt multiple times, we finally decided to bring our concerns to the attention of the owner, Gloria. To our disappointment, Gloria did nothing to address the situation. We had hoped for some form of accountability or at least an open, honest conversation, but instead, it felt like our concerns were brushed off entirely. We didn't want to cancel our membership--we genuinely loved the service and the concept--but we're not willing to support a business that allows one toxic employee to undermine the entire experience, especially when leadership refuses to take responsibility. Sadly, we've since canceled our membership and won't be returning. I hope Float Sixty takes customer feedback more seriously in the future--for the sake of others who still value what it could be.

After learning more about the parasympathetic nervous system, I came across sensory deprivation floating as something to try - enter Float Sixty. Honestly, I was skeptical at first - would I be paying a lot of money to float in a big tub with the lights off and earplugs in? Would I even be able to relax, and for a whole hour? Well, I'm here on Yelp to tell you it was a wonderful and soothing experience. From the minute I walked in, I was welcomed and (since it was my first time floating) everything was explained thoroughly. I had float suite 2, which has its own shower and comes equipped with essentials like ear plugs. I ended up wearing a bathing suit and didn't feel it impeded my experience - it actually helped me feel more comfortable. Part of the time I was able to relax and float in silence, and the rest of the time I played relaxing tones/music from my phone which I really enjoyed but do not recommend bringing the phone into the chamber since it will accumulate salt. I wish there was an ambient light option and speaker option in the chamber to customize the experience but I understand that defeats the sensory deprivation idea. After the session, there are other rooms to relax in, and a vanity table with toiletries and a hair dryer. Unfortunately almost all of the hair products were empty so that was a bummer. There's also water and tea available after your session, and the tea was actually quite delicious. I would definitely recommend Float Sixty and will definitely be back for another session.

The bathrooms and prep area are located before you enter the door to the pods. You do a quick rinse then you enter the pod. Be sure to have a towel and water bottle close by in case you need to wipe the salt off your face. When you get into the pod, you can close the lid or keep it open/partially open. You can also change the color of the lights or have it completely off. I didn't see the part about changing the music because Krista told me that she controls it. I didn't hear any music during my session. The water is very shallow so there is no way you can drown. There is also a pillow like flotation device that you can rest your head on. After your 60 mins, take a shower to wash off all of the salt. You'll know your time is up when the water starts moving. You can enjoy the oasis room after you finish getting ready. I didn't get a chance to try the tea that everyone is talking about. Krista said she "broke it" so only water was available. After reading other Yelpers' reviews, it seemed like Krista was too lazy to give us tea. The oxygen bar was relaxing. I tried the uplifting one which contained peppermint. Their official website, Google, and Yelp all say they close at 10 pm. I have attached a picture. However, Krista was kind of rushing us and it was only 9:15 pm. She also cut my girlfriend's oxygen bar experience short. Mine was 10 mins and my girlfriend's was 5 mins. Customer service was lacking towards the end, not sure if she was in a hurry to close up. I would definitely do this again. I recommend not to rush your customers and to not close up shop before the posted closing time. Experience itself was a 5. Customer service was like a 3.5.
