The staff is friendly. Heather performed skin tightening laser treatment. I have recently been diagnosed with rosacea and she focused on the areas where I am starting to see some redness. She was very friendly and attentive. Since I have never had this performed anywhere before, I really have no baseline to compare it to. She could have been super thorough or not nearly thorough enough and I would have no clue! She initially cleaned my face, applied the laser and then a tightening mask. The whole process was approximately one hour. I was told that the collagen production doesn't increase for 3 weeks and it takes 3 sessions to see results. Stay tuned on results but experience-wise, it was good.

It's a full service salon (minus nails) with about 8 hair stations when you first walk in, and a separate aesthetics area tucked away in the back. It is right on public square, so parking is a pain on the street, but I was told that there's also a parking lot tucked behind it that is much easier to deal with. I only knocked a star off because of the prices -- although they are the best prices in the area for Brazilians ($70 initially, then $60 from then on with recurring appointments). I've seen Hilary twice now, and she makes the process as quick and painless as possible. Plus she's fun to chat with, and knows a lot about the area -- which for me not being a local is helpful :) I've been to a couple other places for waxing so far, and they've either been outrageously priced and take forever, or the salons were very out of the way and inconvenient because they only took cash. So, I will definitely continue to see Hilary for her services as long as I'm in the area, and you should too!

Had my first laser session with Mary yesterday, and I cannot say enough good things about it…read more Located in the New Hartford Shopping Center, the first impression you get when you walk in to the waiting room is very calm, clean, posh business. It's tastefully decorated - Mary also shares the space with Sandy, who does nails, spray tans, etc. Mary went over all of the paperwork and disclaimers of having the procedure. She tested a patch on my arm with her laser just to make sure I was comfortable before we proceeded (I ended up having my legs and underarms treated). Mary was test-driving a new laser, not her regular one, so my experience may be a bit different from others, but the laser was SO COMFORTABLE, there was barely any snapping on my skin. First, Mary smooths on some sonogram gel to the area she's treating, and then goes over with the laser. The laser gets a little warm, but the sensation isn't unpleasant. I've had laser in the past, and it was painful, to the point where at times I suffered burns on my skin. I was shocked at how painless this was. The whole process, full legs and underarms, took about an hour, although it seemed faster. I paid $250 for the session, although it will fluctuate depending on the amount of hair you have and the number of treatments you need, and what areas you are having treated. I thought Mary's prices were fair and reasonable, and I will definitely be back.
