They use a bowl (which didn't look sanitary) and poured acetone into it, after soaking my nails in that I watched the nail tech pour my used acetone with polish chips and all back into the acetone container. My nails do not look like I had got them done professionally and have already chipped on the side (it's the same day and I got a gel manicure so it should last for around 2 weeks). On top of that I got my eyebrows waxed and it's the worst they have ever looked. I came home and tried to fix them as fast as possible. One eyebrow is very obviously higher than the other as well as the tail of my eyebrow just doesn't look right. Save yourself the trouble and the money and don't go here. Update: Woke up the next morning to find a mark from the eyebrow wax. Waxed my skin off

Everyone there was more friendly than any nail tech I've ever experienced in CA and the manicure was excellent and reasonably priced. The salon is in a cool converted home and truly seems part of the neighborhood. It smelled delicious inside - I never got even a whiff of that usual antiseptic strong nail spa smell. I needed acrylic nails removed and was dreading the usual discomfort and rough treatment of having them chipped and drilled off. Instead they were gently removed and my nails beneath were preserved. I'm embarrassed that I cannot remember the nail tech's name but she was amazing. She suggested a dip manicure and they had lots of great colors to choose from. The experience was completed with a wonderful house made gingerbread hand scrub and lotion. I left with awesome nails and also bought a tub of the gingerbread lotion. My toes DID look nice in the end, but aside from the hot stones, it felt much more like a $25 pedicure. Lotion was slathered on my legs, but then it was covered with a hot towel and wiped off. So not sure what that was about...And the menu says "comes with a massage" on the deluxe pedicure too. If you're not going to offer a service, please take it off the menu. The ladies getting their nails there all seemed really happy with that service, so maybe just stop in for a manicure. Don't waste your time with the pedi.
