I was looking forward to my 90 minute session yesterday and left incredibly disappointed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The two girls working at the front barely said 2 words when I entered; and they lied straight to my face claiming I missed my original appointment time.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I pulled up my confirmation to show them and they quickly started speaking in a different language trying to figure something out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am a frequent massage go-er, and I can confidently say do NOT waste your money or time here. This was by far the worst massage I have ever gotten, incredibly rough, painful, and dry. The masseuse was either pouring huge amounts of oil on my body for some parts or just aggressively rubbing my skin for others. He was massaging painful joint points & areas most avoid. He even got oil in my eye. I do not believe these therapists are licensed or trained, avoid at ALL costs and save your money. WORST experience in nyc. read more

Flow Day Spa offers a little pocket of zen and self care in the middle of the city. I treated my mom and myself to a facial and a massage at Flow for her birthday. It was surprisingly hard to find a place that did both - they also offer foot massage, chair massage, and lymphatic drainage massages. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They are bilingual - English and Chinese - and the person who runs the scheduling/desk is helpful, soft spoken, and clear.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They offer their services on the ground floor (foot/chair massage) and the basement (body massage and facial). Everything was clean and very zen when I arrived for a noon appointment. When I finished my appointment at 3pm, the ground floor had three people enjoying a massage and conversations and it was livelier. The body massage was good - but I feel different than the previous reviewers and felt that they could have increased the pressure! I think the feedback here is that the tech should ask and adjust, but they may be a little shy. I enjoyed the hot stone part and felt very moisturized. The facial was excellent - it was soothing, the extractions were successful without being torturous, and I did feel like I had a cleaner face at the end. The gua sha was surprisingly good (apparently I have a lot of jaw tension??) Highly recommend you pay in cash - the difference is notable to the credit card pricing. I got a massage and a facial and tipped each person 28%, thinking my experience was normal. After speaking with other people, I've learned my experience was anything but normal. Like another review/photo on here, my "medium pressure" massage left me bruised and in more pain than beforehand. The guy dug into my muscles with confidence so I thought "maybe this is how it's supposed to be?" But after seeing the marks and feeling even worse afterwards-- I'd say steer clear of this place. The facial did hydrate my skin, but the extractions were unnecessarily deep and bloody. For the neck massage she was gauging her fingertips into my lymph nodes. I'm embarrassed to say I thought this was normal based on her confidence. My hair looked absolutely insane upon finishing, with nothing I could do other than stick my head under the bathroom sink and try and wet it down before leaving. I realize that's kinda trivial but if you do ignore this review and decide to go here for some reason-- at least bring a hat to wear when you leave. read more

I'm so happy this new spot opened up in the neighborhood! I went in for a 60-minute bodywork massage and I had a delightful experience. The staff is friendly, the ambiance feels calming and they did a great job with the interiors. Lily was amazing and targeted the areas where I felt a lot of tension and stress. I walked out of there feeling brand new, definitely looking forward to my next visit, I'll try the foot reflexology and massage combo next. The chairs they have for the foot massages look like a dream. The best part is their pricing and the top-notch service they provide! My only callout is that the spa music was a bit too loud for my liking but it's probably to tune out the noise from the trains rolling into Atlantic Ave since the massages are done in the lower level. other than that 10/10 experience! Probably the worst massage I've ever gotten I felt like I was getting beat up for 60 minutes [[HIGHLIGHT]]I told her to go lighter multiple times but I'm not sure if she understood she kept laughing?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't think she intended on it but it was just really bad. This was my first time here and i got a lymphatic massage which was nice but i had to tell the lady multiple times to be softer. i also was under the impression it was going to be upper body (face and neck and shoulders) but she also massaged my breasts as well. it was a nice addition but a little awkward because i wasn't anticipating having my breasts out in the open. The main issue was at the end when i went to pay in cash the man at the front was requesting more money from me.
