A Heartbreaking Miss for my Seniors HoCo I've been coming to Flowers & Blooms since they opened. They've been my go-to for every special occasion -- always on point, always delivering beauty and care in every detail. But this past weekend was different. Maybe it was a glitch, maybe just bad timing, but it left a lasting disappointment -- especially for my daughter's Senior Homecoming. I ordered a week in advance, wanting everything to be perfect for her final HoCo. I chose white orchids with gold ribbon -- elegant, simple, meaningful. I was quoted $35, same as in past years, and I left feeling confident it would be as lovely as always. When I arrived, another customer was already voicing her own frustration. That's when I started to worry. And sure enough, when my turn came, my order came out wrong -- hot pink ribbon, a boutonniere I didn't order, and a $45 price tag on top of it all. The trifecta of disappointment. What hurt more than the mix-up itself was the response. No apology, no ownership -- just excuses. "We've been busy." "We have a lot going on." "It happens." I wasn't expecting perfection, but I was hoping for a little care, a little compassion. They did try to fix it, but the final corsage came out with what looked more like bronze ribbon instead of gold, and the quality wasn't what I've come to expect. It didn't last the night -- it fell apart. My daughter was heartbroken. She's saved every corsage from her Homecomings to keep in her memory box. But this year, her Senior year, she was left with nothing to remember it by. And as a mom, that broke my heart. I truly hope this was just a rare miss, because Flowers & Blooms has always been a place I've trusted and supported. After a terrible experience with Flowers For You, I found this gem of a local florist in La Habra! We live on the east coast and have family in La Habra. I've used Flower and Blooms several times and have been more than happy with their flowers and their service. The flowers look exactly as you choose from their website, and they are stunning.
