Some repeats with candle people being the most. The barn is nice looking. But with lots of people it was very hot on a day where it was 85 degrees. They should have some fans on the ceiling to just move some air. There is cement stairs and a railing to help people walk in to the barn. The event was focused around the flowering fields. It was $30 to pick some flowers and take them home. Here is the thing. I thought $30 was high. But plenty of people paid. You get a little vase 1 size and some scissors. Then off you go picking as many as you want that fit in to your vase. However, again by 1:30p it seemed like slim pickings literally. They are still taking money and it's a long line but most of the flowers seemed picked already. Our friends were out there and were struggling to fill the vase and get their moneys worth. Not a repeat for me. Love the idea. Just thought the execution was poor. Not the artisans fault so that is the score. I want to support local and small biz so I am being more generous than I would if it was just the farm and picking flowers.

I picked well over $30 worth of some of the most beautiful and diverse flowers I've ever seen - much better than any bouquet I could find in a local store (although many local stores in NE Ohio sell Bloom Hill's blooms). Good size though. They have a corn maze and such. Corn maze is not free. They have hot dogs, ice cream and corn on the cob to eat. They have glider picnic tables arranged around. It's very family friendly. But after 30 mins you can spend $60 easy. They sell bread and bakery from local places. Loaf of fresh bread is around $7. Inside they have a ton of different fruits and veggies as well as jams and Amish treats. Fruits and veggies can be pricey. We got some lettuce, 3 tomatoes, 2 potatoes, green beans, 1 onion, bread, cost us $41. We could have gotten more but that was enough to spend. Bottom line. Good quality. Good selection. But you're going to pay for it. We like Szalays and will go back. Just be aware of what you can afford.

Was never told that what I purchased was only supposed to be a half filled bag so I filled it. She then argued that we were trying to steal apples, and when we offered to leave the extra she wouldn't let us, took us outside and moved a bunch of apple pickers covering the rules and said "the rules say you pick it you buy it". We even suggested we could leave some and she could put them in bags of people who maybe didn't fill their bags. This was also a no. (this part was even more frustrating to me because at one point I was tired of picking apples and I kept filling the bag because I thought I already paid for it. So I better fill it up) When I suggested to put it on the sign saying "only fill half way", she made it clear she did not think that was necessary. so we were never told to only half fill the bag, we filled the bag that we paid for, and then were accused of trying to take extra apples, but we weren't allowed to leave them.
