If you call ahead they will get your order picked and ready for pick up. This is a family friendly farm and they have always made me feel welcome when the kids are with me. The gardens are so spread out and easy to find the items your looking for. Once you arrive just pulled in the shop parking area. They will let you know the prices for each of the basket sizes. Then the owners will direct you to the best spot to start. One last tip. They typically use Facebook for all hours and to keep you posted on what's ready to pick. Parking was easy but very packed. Pretty rugged terrain to be honest. I have a bronco and that was fine but a smaller passenger car might have had some issues. Lots of divots and uneven ground. 1 way in and 1 way out. Ok going in. More challenging going out. Narrow driveway. 2 food trucks and some sweets trucks. The 2 food trucks seemed overwhelmed. Heard the hot dog truck ran out of hot dogs by 1:30p. Long lines at everything. We chose to not eat there. The artisans were good. They had about 30 or so. Some inside a barn and some outside. Some repeats with candle people being the most. The barn is nice looking. But with lots of people it was very hot on a day where it was 85 degrees. They should have some fans on the ceiling to just move some air. There is cement stairs and a railing to help people walk in to the barn. The event was focused around the flowering fields. It was $30 to pick some flowers and take them home. Here is the thing. I thought $30 was high. But plenty of people paid. You get a little vase 1 size and some scissors. Then off you go picking as many as you want that fit in to your vase. However, again by 1:30p it seemed like slim pickings literally. They are still taking money and it's a long line but most of the flowers seemed picked already. Our friends were out there and were struggling to fill the vase and get their moneys worth. Not a repeat for me. Love the idea. Just thought the execution was poor. Not the artisans fault so that is the score. I want to support local and small biz so I am being more generous than I would if it was just the farm and picking flowers.

I picked well over $30 worth of some of the most beautiful and diverse flowers I've ever seen - much better than any bouquet I could find in a local store (although many local stores in NE Ohio sell Bloom Hill's blooms). You pick your own strawberries and there are plenty of good ones to find.

Yes, you will find some little worms in some of the apples. - We just cut them away. Yep, they are ugly apples! do you know why? That's right... they are not coated with all the chemicals that your "pretty" apples are. Blue Jay Orchards' apples have a great taste to them. Yes, you will pay a little more than you would in store. Yes, you will probably need to cut some of the apples up to remove the little worms. But I find their apples are superior to what you will get in the store. We are happy such a wonderful farm is available for us.

This was not a very large farm and it is super easy to manage with plenty of blueberries for picking right into end of July still with plenty of produce. The blueberries were priced very inexpensively. Thinking about it, it was probably less than a grocery store. If I were to break it up, getting about a pint was $2, while it may be $3-4 at the grocery store which makes quite the difference. I expect blueberries to be more expensive at these farms as well, and it was a pleasant surprise. If you can, I recommend picking on a cooler day because it can take awhile, especially if you are looking to bake goods or pick many many pounds of them. There is a little shack which more produce and meats as well! There was garlic, squash, tomato, broccoli, fresh eggs and more when I went, so consider getting your groceries here too!

Freshly picked berries make store berries taste like papers, in comparison. The price is awesome. You pay 4 times the price at giant eagle. They also have produce- veggies, chicken. I bought 2 dozens of eggs. The egg yolks are rich golden in color. So different from Costco organic eggs. Some of the eggs have blue eggshells- because the animals are not carefully generically selected to mass produce. In nature, the genes naturally variate. I recommend come in early morning, apply sunscreen and bug spray. For toddlers, Plan to stay 1.5 hours at the most. They don't last long in the summer sun, which is the prime blueberry season.
