This is such a cute place to visit in the fall!! (Thought I bet it's a cute place year round). I stopped in on a Saturday morning while on vacation. The amount of pumpkins and the varity of pumpkin colors was amazing!! I loved seeing the classic bright orange to the yellow to the deep orange almost red. They had pallets of pumpkins well spread out for you to walk around and find the perfect one. Inside the shop had some local good along with more generic products. The bakery is really what shined. You were able to smell the free baked goods when you walked in. The apple fritter was a disappointment but the cinnamon sugar pumpkin doughbut was amazing!! Went to Patterson for a friend date after my sister recommended it for their amazing donuts. My friend and I hadn't seen each other in a while, and the trails behind Patterson Fruit Farm were the perfect surprise--we got to walk, talk, and catch up before heading into the store. Once inside, we found a wide selection of goodies. I picked up some apple butter (incredible--solid 10/10) and a dozen donuts for my sister. We also grabbed two pumpkins, all at really good prices. The only hiccup was the checkout logistics. If you buy items inside and then buy more outside, they don't use "paid" stickers, so we were asked multiple times whether we'd already purchased our things. They also didn't have bags when we visited, so we ended up awkwardly carrying small items and pumpkins at the same time. They do have baskets near the entrance, but none further inside where you actually realize you need one. Minor inconveniences aside, Patterson is a wonderful place, and now I know what to expect next time. I'd absolutely go again. read more

This is a hidden farm that has a lot to offer as far as donuts and fresh apples. They also sell honey, jam, and other items. I found that it much pricier than most other farms. It's pretty in the fall and great for families with kids. read more

LOCATIONS -- This Yelp review is for their the Caves Road location (Patterson's Farm Market) where the indoor market is located. This is also where you can buy fresh produce, honey, gifts, jams, and other items. This is the location that doesn't have Apple picking. Only their Mulberry Road location has Apple picking which is where the main farm is located. Their Orchard Hills location is in the same address (campus) as their Caves Road location and this is an events center. I've never been there. Some call it the 3rd location. During my recent visit in September 2024, I enjoyed my time at the market. I arrived after picking my own apples at the farm at the Mulberry road location. At the market, I bought about 2-3 donuts and a hot apple cider drink. The donuts were delicious but slightly too sweet. This farm isn't close to me so I'm not sure when I'll be back especially since this location on Caves Road has just the market plus events center but I suggest that you visit. Patterson's is one of my must visit spots anytime I'm visiting the Cleveland area. Peach season is my favorite, but they have something fun and seasonal anytime I visit. Their apple cider and apple cider slushies are also a favorite treat of mine. This is a very family friendly spot and the shop has so many deliciou goodies, from fresh produce to baked goods, and shelf stable items. The pies here are excellent. Depending on when you come through you might be able to enjoy some of their festivities, or pick your own opportunities. They do a great job with having enough parking and keeping lines moving when they are busy. I'm happy to support this local business whenever I'm in the area. We were visiting and looking for a farm stand to buy apples in season (end September). This is not a farm stand, but a corny tourist trap, with crazy high prices for produce. Apples pre-wrapped in plastic bags are sold by the peck, presumably to confuse people who don't normally buy that way. They were outrageously expensive -- and we shop at the greenmarket in New York City! There are animals on the property and a playground for kids, so that must be the draw. Patterson's Fruit Farm is a Chesterland landmark and has been here (in this location) for over 60 years. They have an excellent selection of locally grown apples and other fruit. I've been enjoying their cider since I was first introduced to it in 1972. The facility has expanded over the years and now includes a bakery section, a very nice kid's play area and a nice patio (deck) overlooking the park. Such an adorable fruit farm! I went last week and they had so much to see and do. There's loads of apples of many varieties on trees to pick in September and their shop has so much to see. They've got hot cider, fresh produce, maple syrup and more. There's also a bakery in the back with their own pastries (The apple cider donut is delicious! Their apple dumplings are a little too tart for my taste). Outside is a pumpkin patch, more hot food and a playground. There's also a location of the same name about a mile away with more apples to pick. I had fun trying to find the smallest ripe apple but there's lots of huge ones around too. Wonderful spot to grab some fresh fruit and vegetables ! The employees are super friendly and helpful. The strawberry rhubarb pie is the best I've ever had; how does the crust stay so perfectly flaky!? I also highly recommend buying the flowers they sell there from nearby Rogish Farms. I've had a bouquet of mixed flowers for well over a week and they still look fantastic. New to the midwest, I was looking forward to participating in all the ~fall~ activities. I went to Patterson for apple picking last year and loved it so much I didn't even bother to look for a different orchard this year. They also have a store/market about a mile away from the apple picking area. I absolutely love their apple cider donuts and apple cider! They have plenty of other baked goods as well. I have also tried their apple fritter, which was delicious but definitely prefer the donuts. They sell a ton of other fresh produce and products like jams and apple butter. The peach-jalapeno and raspberry jams are my favorites. There was many options for pumpkins and apples. Very cute place to take the family. They are selling "homemade" lemonade for $7 each and the man is making it with lemon juice from the BOTTLE! We recently visited Patterson's Fruit Farm and were lucky enough to find their annual Fall Fest was in progress. Lots to do for kids and adults with some food options, lots of pumpkins and Fall gourds, caramel corn and, of course, apples! Make sure you try the cider, it's a local best. Apples are plentiful and varied with free samples available before you buy. Pecan, pumpkin and every fruit pie imaginable. Don't leave without buying an apple fritter for dessert! Social distancing took pretty close attention on our part as spaces were crowded. But with a little attention and a mask, we felt ok. read more
