Over the past year, I have purchased several floral arrangements from her and they are the most beautiful creations. Sophia also provided floral arrangements including centerpieces and floor pieces for a non profit organization's bi-annual fundraiser and the guests repeatedly asked where we purchased our flowers from! Tonight, I took a flower arranging class from Sophia and I can't tell you how accomplished I feel. The arrangement is gorgeous. Day 1. The delivery person only made his presence known by racing his engine in our paved parking area. Then he left (driving on the lawn) before I could reach the door. Several hours later the gift-giver asked whether I had received her gift of flowers. I then found a local phone # in the recent calls list (NO Caller ID, no voice message, no text) and called it. Was told I had not answered the door. I complained about the driving on the lawn and was told that I had to be mistaken as their driver had never done such a thing. After too much back and forth was promised delivery the next day. HUH - it was only mid-afternoon when I called. I finally agreed to the late delivery but stipulated that the driver who acted so strangely was not to come onto the property again. Day 2. Mid morning phone call checking to see whether it was OK to deliver and to inform me that the driver of Day 1 would be coming here. I told the caller NO. He was not to come here and she insisted that he wanted to "talk" to me. Eventually she made the delivery herself. The flowers were not worth delivering in the first place. They had been past their prime the day they should have been delivered and by Day 2 were considerably battered. As for being an 'arrangement' - they are a mixed bouquet jammed into a too small diameter vase. My friend wasted her money (FTD isn't cheap}. This mess will have dropped its petals and been assigned to compost in a very few hours. This place wasn't worth it. read more

I had an all around terrible experience with this florist. My boyfriend, who lives out of town, placed a phone order with them for delivery on Valentine's Day. The florist told him that if they were unable to deliver the flowers to me, that they would call him and let him know. When February 14th arrived, I didn't receive flowers and he didn't receive a phone call. On February 15th, I left my home around 7am. When I arrived home at approximately 9pm that day, a vase of flowers was waiting for me. On the porch. In 20 degree weather. I have no idea how long the vase had been out there, but it was long enough for the water in the vase to get slushy. Needless to say, most of the bouquet died within 24 hours. At no point did the florist call him to (1) apologize for the late delivery or (2) let him know that flowers were delivered to me on the 15th. My boyfriend would have been better off just flushing his money down the toilet. read more

Don't do business with FLOWER GIRL in Fairport. I placed an order with them 2 weeks ago for Valentines flowers to be delivered at work for my wife. They called me this morning to tell me they would not be able to deliver before my wife's work closed. The girl started telling me all her problems and tried to guilt trip me into canceling the order. when I said I thought it was unprofessional to guilt trip me into canceling the order, she said she was going to cancel it anyway. Wow. Was in a jam and didn't use my regular florist. Never again! Was charged a market price for a bouquet of flowers that was "way below" market quality. Six roses - one of which died within 24 hours - and a whole bunch of typical "fillers" that occupied the place where real flowers should've been. Thorns were not even trimmed on the roses and the woman who waited on me couldn't wait to get back to her phone texting. Can't imagine how this place continues to stay open. read more

DO NOT ORDER FLOWERS FROM THIS STORE!!!!! WORST SERVICE EVER.. and lack of professionalism! I ordered a 70$ bouquet online from this store for my mom, on mother's day last saturday (european calendar). Our parents live in Fairport and since me and my brothers are all studying in Europe we thought ordering from the Flower Girl which is just 2min by walk away from our mom's would be the easiest. Not only the flowers did not arrived on Saturday, but when I called and spoke with the manager she treated me without any respect. First of all, when I asked to speak with the manager, the girl answered "It is only freaking 9am and we have a lot of work, so please call later" and hung up on me. When I called again later, she said they had several problems with their computer system and she couldn't see my order, so she couldn't offer any solution, even though I had already paid for the service 2 weeks before. After insisting for 10 minutes and asking her to write down my order number she suddenly said: oh! now I see it, it was supposed to be delivered 3 days ago..oups! After that conversation and use of bad language, she tried to be nice and started talking about how beautiful my name was, and how bad she wanted to come to Switzerland.. I had never experienced such a bad service and lack of professionalism from any store in the US before, this lady is working as manager without any idea about how to run a flower business or treat customers.. We didn't get any discount, or any special deal, even after paying 10$ for the delivery (you can actually walk from the store to my mom's in less than 2min). The bouquet was delivered today, and although my mom was extremely happy, it is not what we paid for, terrible service, late delivery and definitely NOT what you see in their pictures. Flowers were not delivered on the 13th of February day before Valentine's. Called ftd on , 13th to ask where flowers were, was told they would be delivered soon. Flowers were not delivered after I waited at home for flowers. Called again on the 14th talked to customer service, said sorry for flowers not being delivered. Explained that flower shop tried to deliver, I asked what time, could not tell me time, no notes on door or any voicemail from flower shop flower girl in Fairport. Received call at 10 am on 14th valentines Sunday morning, from flower girl Fairport, no apology. Asked if left voicemail or when came day before but would not confirm either, so obviously did not do either. My wife never got her flowers for Valentine's. Ridiculous, very poor customer service.
