My first experience with this company has been quite bumpy and filled with frustration. My boyfriend from California decided to send me a Valentine's Day bouquet to my doorstep and specifically stated, "place on doorstep." in the delivery instructions. Now, because I work during the day I was not able to have the flowers directly handed to me, but since he told me that the flowers would be placed on the doorstep, I thought it wouldn't be a big deal. The evening rolls around and I did not see any bouquet, so naturally, I called this company the next day and asked if they could be left on the doorstep. They denied me because due to the low temperatures, it would in turn, ruin the flowers. Of course, this makes sense, but I feel this should have been indicated on the website that flowers cannot be left outside during cold temperatures (as I am not a florist). The next day I called the company asking if they could attempt the FOURTH delivery yet again between 1-3pm as I would be home. I was promised that it would be delivered within that time frame. 2:30pm rolls around and I call them, yet again, asking where the bouquet was and the manager, Andrea, explained that there were some misunderstandings occurring among their staff, etc. She then offered to attempt the delivery herself and add in free chocolate covered strawberries with the bouquet of flowers. This of course, made me feel better and reassured me that I would finally get to see the bouquet of flowers with a bonus add-on. Unfortunately, I got a call back shortly after in which they stated that they couldn't deliver it before the time I stated (before 3pm). Feeling frustrated again, they offered to send me a free bouquet of flowers on a day that worked for the both of us as well as a full refund. Despite the constant delivery mix-ups and misunderstandings over the span of a few days, both Andrea and the other workers made sure that I still ended up happy - which is a great quality to have in a business when compared to other ones. Overall, if you order from here please be aware of any delivery mishaps as well as any misunderstandings occurring so you do not end up with a similar experience as mine! read more

I've been going to this shop for at least a dozen years. It is always amazingly fresh and they have an entire wall of individual flowers (buckets full) to select from, I always make my choices and they add the finishing touches. It's like visiting a tiny botanical garden there are so many flowers to choose from. Today I asked about roses and got to go in the back cooler, idk if I achieved VIP status or just never needed to look but it was cool. I was very disappointed with my Telaflora order that was filled by this florist. I ordered a very sleek, simple and beautiful rectangular basket of three African violets that was the perfect size and shape to go on a window sill. It was intended to be a housewarming gift for a friend and I thought it would look lovely in her kitchen window. I wanted to take it to her house myself so had it delivered to my hotel so I could carry it with me to visit her. I paid an extra $15 to have it delivered by 1pm. The plant was delivered an hour and a half late. And it looks like an Easter basket. Instead of being all violets, it is so full of ivy that you can barely see the flowers. And it's round. With a big old handle.Like an Easter basket. Not.sleek. Not rectangular. Can't go on the windowsill. I cannot give this as a gift. Very very disappointing. I went here yesterday as they were close to my home, and I see them all the time when I get coffee or Pizza near by. I did look at the reviews online, and saw some good and some bad, but figured like most businesses it all depends on the day you go somewhere as to what you will get. I called and asked what time they were open until to ensure I could make it there with rush hour traffic. The man who answered the phone was very polite and told me the time. When I arrived the front doors were open to let the warm fresh air in, and it was very clean inside. The two ladies working were wonderful. Very helpful, and professional, but most of all, what I needed after my day at work, was Friendly. We talked like we had known each other for years. I got to hear a little about their lives and where they used to live, and it really helped with my stress level. I walked out with a beautiful arraignment of Daisies for a friend who just had to put her dog down, and without these woman knowing what the flowers were for, they made me a beautiful bouquet. The store was clean, and very colorful with many many many Easter Lilies ready to go. I will definitely use them again, for Flowers, and a nice conversation after a long day. I ordered flowers from Belvidere Florist for my second wedding reception(ceremony and initial reception in DE) at the Chelmsford Radisson. I was quite pleased with most of the flowers provided, from the centerpieces, to the boutonnieres, and the bouquets. The only thing that I did not like about the flowers used, which is rather minor, but the only flower that I specifically requested because I had found pictures of which I absolutely loved, were these naturally deep purple, almost iridescent cala lillies. The only flower I was absolutely looking forward to. Well, when I received my bouquet, I was a bit disappointed due to the fact that the cala lillies were not those that I had been expecting, but merely white ones painted purple. But other than that, I had minimal issues with their services. read more

My husband and I met with Joe regarding the flowers for our wedding. He made the process easy and truly has a passion for flowers. I was thrilled with the bouquets and table arrangements. The large arrangements were stunning and at such a good price I will use him again, no doubt. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because on the wedding day, when the flowers were delivered, I was under the impression they would place them where they needed to be-- table settings with the tables, bouquets to the wedding party- especially for a delivery fee of $100. Instead, they drove up, dropped it off, and left without saying anything to anyone. Not sure why that happened, but the rest of the experience was so good I would recommend him for weddings. read more

I used Belvidere florist for my wedding 8/1/2014 and they were fantastic! I met with Joe not really knowing what I wanted because I'm very picky and I don't really like/know that many flowers. I described to him the kind of look and colors I was going for the best I could with my lack of flower knowledge and the outcome was AMAZING. The colors all went perfectly with the wedding and nothing looked cheap! Also they have good prices. I HIGHLY recommend them! read more

My daughter was married recently, and used A Belvidere as her florist for her shower and wedding flowers. I cannot give enough praise to this florist...they were amazing! At both events, all the flowers arrived fresh and beautiful and on time! The presentations were simply beautiful! The colors were perfectly matched to the bridesmaids dresses. I made a last-minute change on the morning of the wedding (lapel corsage to wrist corsage), and that was handled professionally and perfectly by Joe -- a designer from A Belvidere was waiting personally for me at the church with the new wrist corsage...she greeted me as I stepped out of the limo! All the wedding flowers that we took home with us lasted more than a week (the shower flowers lasted even longer...perhaps because they were hydrangeas...they dyed them Tiffany blue...they were gorgeous!). I cannot recommend A Belvidere strongly enough: they were professional, talented and very well priced. I will definitely return to A Belvidere when I need gorgeous, long-lasting flowers!! I do NOT recommend this floral shop!!! I ordered a sympathy bouquet on Thursday at 9AM for a service that was at 9AM the following Friday through their website. I got an email confirmation at 9:44 saying that the order was accepted and everything was all set for the next day. On Friday however, I get a call from the owner stating "He got the order after hours [they open at 9AM!!] and the flowers did not make it to the service because they had only opened at 9AM and saw the order" I will also add this call didn't take place till 11AM!!! Totally unacceptable. This bouquet was from a work place and has made us look as though we did nothing for our hard working team member! The owner was unapologetic and offered nothing to compensate for his huge mistake to correct the issue. I just asked to be refunded and ordered something from a more reliable place to be shipped to her house. Totally ridiculous. Do not use this floral shop!! read more
