I ordered roses for my wife's birthday and they were sensational (you might find a photo on their website). Unfortunately a couple of days later she noticed that several of the flowers were dying. 3 days after I picked up the arrangement I called Emily to ask how long we could expect the flowers to last and was told at least a week maybe 2. I explained the condition the flowers were in and Emily apologized profusely and asked if I would like to pick up a new arrangement or have it delivered. I offered to pick them up but they had a delivery near us that afternoon. A little after two my wife had another beautiful arrangement. I will never use another florist in Chattanooga. Pains me to say. 20 year customer here or was one. The last four arrangements ( in two years) were decreasingly poor in quality and freshness. Just a shame. A delivery last week to my wife was the last time. Two of the flowers were limp and dead when I got home. The majority of the flowers were dieing the next morning. Called to ask for something seasonal, being in the middle of fall harvest, Halloween, etc., and told them the recipient's favorite color was yellow. Thought that worked and was told it would. Instead they put together a bunch of purple and blue flowers with a big yellow sunflower stuck in front to adhere to the "yellow" request. It was embarrassingly ugly and everyone agreed. I paid over $100 for it. Worst florist experience I've ever had. Period. I wrote to the owner and never got a response. These guys could and should do better, especially when they are catering to an audience that needs all the "bright and lovely" things that a hospital room can't offer. I am very grateful for this establishment. Over several years, I have tried 4 different flower shops in Chattanooga. A couple of them I even used multiple times. They ripped me off with cheaper, fewer, and different flowers than I ordered and paid for. (I should not get tulips when I order roses at Christmas! ) It has been a problem ordering from out of state. But The people here are different. They gave me what I ordered and paid for and they even helped by finding the address of the rehab my family member was in. I now have a flower shop that I can use with peace if mind. We called Emily the night before with an urgent need for flowers for a luncheon. We were coming in from out of town and didn't know what we were doing. Emily called us back at 9 pm And agreed to meet us the next morning. She picked out beautiful flowers for us and quickly made pretty arrangements for us. Highly recommend! read more

Lady answering telephone was completely rude when taking order. I spelled the names for the card. And then proceeded to spell my city and she smarted off to me saying she knew how to spell it and she knew how to spell "Gary" and other names. Terrible customer service in my opinion. I love their work but would consider not using their service due to this incident. read more

When I got mistaken information about the day of the funeral, someone from Gil and Curt notified me. The next week they delievered the flowers again at no extra charge. That's what I call service. read more

Unacceptably rude! Exquisite arrangements! My fiance' has used only them for many years. I recently made a call to them for a consultation to do our wedding and the lady I spoke with told me they didn't have time to even make an appt for our consultation and said they were too busy dealing with Valentine's Day. (This was not on Valentine's Day) She said the best thing I could do is go to the bridal show on Sunday. I asked her if she could just answer one question for me and she said, "No, we're in the middle of Valentine's and I don't have time for this!". I told her if she didn't have the time to answer a few questions for me then to just forget it and she hung up on me. Reviews stated "very unreliable" and "rude to customers". Don't use them. I ordered a beautiful bouquet online for my sister-in-law in Chattanooga Tennessee. Flowers were delivered on time, but in no way at all resembled the beautiful bouquet pictured online. The bouquet I ordered was filled with beautiful roses and instead they filled it with Lillys. The arrangement that was sent was very unattractive, had none of the flowers shown in the picture from which I ordered online, and was a huge disappointment. It in no way shape or form looked anything like the arrangement I ordered and for which I paid a very high price. Words cannot express my dissatisfaction. I expressed my dissatisfaction by email, sent pictures of both bouquets and also contacted the florist by phone.The response back was cold and unwavering; they refused to make right with this blunder. I wanted to support a locally owned florist to deliver flowers for a relative's birthday. I was asked the price range and I said $50 (I ended up being charged $67) and my relative had to send the flowers back because according to my relative, they were already wilted when delivered. I never got a call from the florist to inform me that they were sent back, so I was embarrassed when I called to find out how my relative liked the flowers. Disappointed in my wedding flowers. Recommend paying the extra 6% and paying with a credit card so you can at least dispute your charge if they get any portion of your very specific order wrong. I asked for amazing flowers for my wedding and even advised I had more in my wedding budget if needed. One part of the order was entirely wrong and they didn't do anything about it. Terrible customer service. Receptionist got angry and impatient with me just for asking a question about my invoice. Oh yeah, then she put me on terminal hold, very immature receptionist. I ordered a funeral spray from the picture. It was supposed to be white lilies and red roses, I ask for one change for the roses to be peach colored. The arrangement that arrived on time and in excellent shape was absolutely stunning. I actually had strangers walk up to me and tell me what a beautiful arrangement it was. While their arrangements are beautiful, they miss the boat on common courtesy and missing the important details such as date of delivery. Twice now they have messed up delivery dates and have not been very nice about it at all. The first was last year for my birthday which was on a Mon. My husband was going to be out of town that day and had called the Friday before to have flowers delivered to my work on Mon, my birthday. The flowers were actually delivered that Friday, the day he placed the order. I don't work on Fri or Sat so the entire surprise was ruined. My husband called and told them they had messed up and they still charged, only taking off the delivery fee. I should have known better than to try them again, but last week I called on Thursday morning to see if they could arrange for delivery to my daughter in Chapel Hill, NC for her birthday the next day. I gave them the address, explained it was a dorm and also provided her cell number. He specifically asked if delivery was for that day and I said no, tomorrow Friday Feb 21st. The next day when my daughter hadn't received anything by 3:15 I called and they said it was for Sat. the 22nd, not Fri the 21st. I was upset and the lady told me not to get upset with her. I was not swearing or yelling, just obviously frustrated .She was down right rude inferring it was my fault somehow, but said she would see what they could do. I still had not heard back by 3:45 and I called a local Chapel Hill florist who was so kind and said since their delivery guy was standing right there and her dorm was so close they could get it out to her and they did!. I called back to Gil and Curt and cancelled my order. They said they had called all florists within a ten mile radius of my daughter and no one could get something out that day so they had called and left a message saying they would cancel. They called my home number, after I gave them my cell to call me right back. The message was on my home phone, but simply said to call them back. I would not have gotten that until hours later. I told them about the prior mess up and she pulled that up as well and said I must be mistaken about the facts since the ticket shows a charge, with only the delivery charge taken off. She said they never would have charged for the flowers in that situation. Well, they did. She was nicer the last time I spoke with her to cancel, but rude up until she learned I found someone else to handle it. I would never use them again and can't imagine having my wedding or an event messed up. They need some help in the customer service area. read more
