Needless to say I was not happy with what was created when my son sent me a picture, thanking me. I contacted Grafe Studios via their website as it was now after hours. And I also left a negative review, as I hoped that would make someone take notice. Todd Grafe contacted me today, was very dismissive and rude, asking me what would make me happy so he could move on. I asked for an arrangement like what was expected be delivered as a replacement. He tried his best to talk over me, mansplaining at it's best, and attempted to make me feel inferior since my children politely accepted the flowers delivered. Like all of this was is the recipient's fault? When my husband, who was watching my end of the conversation, inquired, I referred to Mr Grafe as an "asshole", because in my opinion he was being a real jerk. I really couldn't believe a business owner would act like that. I was an inconvenience to him. Needless to say, Todd heard my characterization of his behavior and was not pleased. I don't feel obliged to erase what transpired. I won't participate in his QUID PRO QUO game. My advice, choose wisely.

I explained the condition the flowers were in and Emily apologized profusely and asked if I would like to pick up a new arrangement or have it delivered. The florist had (understandably) already charged me for the original delivery. Because the new destination was further away, I was charged a second time with an additional $4 fee to make up for the mileage. This, too, I understood. However, the recipient ultimately picked up the bouquet, which was small, but fine bouquet. Unfortunately, it looked nothing like the bouquet I referenced when placing the order. For example, it should have had tulips. It did not. Still, I was OK with it. A few days later, I called the florist because I had been charged twice, both times for a delivery that did not take place as the flowers were picked up. I was told the first charge was canceled and to wait for my bank to reflect that. (Thus, I'm waiting. Perhaps my bank is slow to update.) However, I asked about the second charge which included a steep delivery fee for flowers that were picked up. I was told they "added" flowers to the bouquet to make up for the difference, but they could not tell me what flowers were added to what was a very small bouquet. (And remember, it should have included tulips. It did not. So what was added that was worth the extra money?) I explained that, as a customer, I would have liked a call regarding whether to add to my bouquet or refund my delivery fee. The florist simply kept repeating " I understand" and "We are happy to send you a receipt." In other words, my issue wasn't addressed. In the future, I will use other florists with more straight-forward business practices. I do not recommend this company, nor was I bowled over by the floral arrangement itself.

This is not at all what I had in mind considering the cost of the flowers, the tax, the delivery fee, and a tip that came to a total of $98. I attached photos of what I thought I ordered and what they delivered. They offered to switch out the arrangement for something I would like better. However, this would entail going across the street taking that sad little bouquet away from a 13-year-old girl who just received them and drive to the florist's location (which is impossible with my newly broken wrist mind you) For them to do what they should have done in the first place. They sent an email showing what they made but I didn't see it until after my appointment with the orthopedist at which time it was already on its way. If I knew what they were sending I would have cancelled the order and sent my son to the store for a pretty bouquet, a nice card, a balloon , and a stuffed animal and I still wouldn't have spent $100. This time, since this was for my Mom and Dad for Christmas, I knew I wanted it to be super nice. So I called Ruth's and described what I wanted. She listened and was so positive and personable. She must have a great selection, because the bouquet ended up being exactly what I had described I wanted, and delivered even a bit ahead of scheduled expectation.
