I made a call to Cameron Park Florist looking for a last minute bouquet for my mother's birthday that was on the same day. I spoke with Dawn over the phone. I informed her right off the bat that I have no experience working with a florist, and I am in need of beautiful flowers that same day. I was hesitant, but Dawn was so kind to tell me that's what she's here for, and pushed me to spring my ideas on what I wanted. She told me to give her half an hour and she would have it ready. Normally, I am met with hesitance or rejection when it comes to last minute requests (who can blame them though?). This was an entirely different experience, and this is the kind of service that will keep me as a regular customer. I highly recommend Cameron Park Florist- They have a great team there that has genuine passion for what they create.

They have always been my go-to--until today. I called to order a boutonniere and a bouquet for my son's prom date and asked if I could email photos for reference. I was told to send the pictures, which I did. While waiting, I confirmed a budget of $85 for the bouquet and $18-$23 for the boutonniere and specified white and pink flowers (no roses). Without ever reviewing the photos, I was told they "couldn't do it" and that I should go to another florist. When I mentioned that I had been a longtime, satisfied customer, I was bluntly told they were not interested in making my order and that I should find someone else. I was also told they didn't want to deal with potential refunds or bad reviews--again, without even seeing what I had requested. After this interaction, I left an honest review reflecting my experience. Shortly after, I received a phone call from the same employee, who was upset, yelling, and threatening to sue me if I didn't take the review down. She also made inappropriate personal assumptions about my life, saying I probably have never worked and have a husband who supports me. (I am a fifth grade school teacher.)I later received an email demanding the same--despite being told earlier that my original email with photos had never been received. This was one of the most unprofessional customer service experiences I have ever had. Based on this interaction, I cannot recommend this business and would caution others before choosing to work with them.

I called and spoke with Marilyn shortly after they opened last Thursday. She recognized my parents' Address and proximity to her shop and so was confident she could deliver a fresh bouquet that day. She took the time to give me an inventory of what flash flowers had come in that day and what she thought would be a nice combination. We agreed on an appropriate price for what I envisioned and settled up with the transaction in an efficient pleasant manner. Not two hours later I get a call from my mother, ecstatic with a beautiful arrangement that had just been delivered to her door. In under two hours Marilyn had greeted me pleasantly on the phone, coordinated my order and took down the appropriate details, created a beautiful, original floral arrangements and had it delivered to their door! Truly wonderful service! I will definitely call the wild orchid studio/El Dorado Hills florist again for my floral needs. PS-the photo on the left is of the arrangement the day they were delivered. If they were unable to deliver on the requested time, they could've called me; my number was also written in the steps prior to purchase. I do not appreciate this type of service especially coming from a company that seemed great from initial appearance, but clearly lack in quality customer care. But it's very clear they don't really care, otherwise I would've been informed via call or email but again, got nothing. There's a reason why I stated my request for a certain time frame. It is what it is now. 2. I paid about $5 extra for them to send me an email of how the flowers looked prior to making the delivery -- what's the point of that when I never received it at all? Take that option off if you're unable to deliver such service that's outside of what you actually can do. It makes no sense how something simple can turn out complicated even in the slightest bit. And no, I'm not upset. Just unfortunately disappointed at the professionalism and lack of quality care that I had to share my experience with everyone here. The flowers on the other hand looked nice from the image that was sent to me from my family member. Although the flowers looked nice, the quality of service should match. It doesn't.
