A $60 plus delivery fee bouquet of flowers was ordered, from this establishment for our 85-year-old…read moremom for Mother's Day. The flowers arrived in a 3.5-inch wide vase filled with so much filler you couldn't even pull it out of the vase without cutting them. The attached picture will show the filler material in a plastic grocery bag and as you can see, it is a ridiculous amount! Our mother called to complain to the owner as was her right to do so and the owner did send out another bouquet to rectify the situation. With this being said, mom was asked several questions regarding the order and if my sister (the one who ordered) had seen pictures of the flowers? Yes, she did see pictures and it was not to my sister's satisfaction. Then the owner asked if my sister's husband had seen the pictures and how did he feel about the flowers? He wasn't happy about them either...then the owner proceeds to tell our mother that she was over exaggerating the issue in regards to just how much filler, was used. I'm completely flabbergasted at this point and in absolute disbelief, that the owner of this business, even had the audacity to speak to an 85-year-old in this manner, totally disrespectful with our Mom! Like I said before, another bouquet was delivered and it was beautiful, however, that doesn't take away from the fact the way our mom was spoken to. Mom was so upset from the tone of voice that was used and inundated owner that she was reduced to tears! I assume mom thought the owner would've been grateful for the input and she would appreciate the feedback in order to use it as constructive criticism as well as a learning tool and prevent any other customer complaints. When the shop called to get directions again the person on the other end of the phone could hear mom in the background because she was crying and she apologized for mom being upset about this mess. I asked to speak with the owner and I was told that she was gone for the day and my message and number would be passed on to the owner the following day (10 business days ago.) I have yet to receive any call and to me, that speaks volumes! So, to the owner of the business, you will never again receive one red cent from this family again (which would be quite the sum of money from 5 children and one husband) who orders flowers on multiple occasions and for multiple people. If I cared enough about you I could go on and on about previous orders, countless calls guiding incompetent employees who can't find their way out of a wet paper bag and the attention span of a fruit fly. The simplest thing to do if you care at all, about your customers and recipients is A) Above all, costs, please do make 85 years old, mom's cry and insinuate they're lying. B) Make an attempt to at least call and apologize for making said person cry!

I called their gift shop and told them I didn't want your average FTD arrangement, and asked if I could get picky with flowers and vase selection. She hooked me up with Barbara who does all the arrangements for them. First, she is just lovely. Easy to talk to and has a wonderful warmth about her. As soon as I began telling her the flowers I wanted to see in the arrangement and the type of vase, she "got it". She knew exactly what I was talking about. I wanted something classy and elegant. Not only did she create this amazingly beautiful arrangement, but she also worked within my narrow window of time. I thought my sister was going to be there another week, but found out (after I placed the order with Barbara), that my sister was going to be released the next day. So Barbara to the rescue! She made sure the arrangement was there by 10:00 am and my sister got to also enjoy taking them to her home. As you can see from the photos, Barbara does exquisite work.
