Came around to making this review. This occurred back in December. We all know, if a business says they cannot execute an idea, do not say you can do it and utterly disappoint the customer. My brother-in-law had preordered flowers (for specific flowers, my sisters favorite) 3-4 weeks in advance, he spoke to who I believe is Micki and he payed in advance and Micki confidently said he can execute the ideal. On the day of my sister anniversary which happens to be Christmas eve, I go to pick up the flowers, and omg the flower arrange looks NOTHING like the photo. NOTHING. I was shocked, I was so confused, and Micki goes we ran out of flowers, and then talks to to his coworkers oh yeah he order in advance but making a bunch of excuses, trying to act as if these flowers look similar to the photo... to get me to buy them but it did not and I wasn't having it. It's a flower shop... and we ordered specific flowers in advance? How do you run out? It was so unprofessional. Why I'm making this review? Because if you lie and make unfilled promises it can really impacted someone's plans, especially on someone's wedding anniversary, when we gave you enough time to execute. We last minute chose a bunch of other flowers. Super dissatisfied and disappointed when looking back. Safe to say never coming back especially when this place is highly rated and far out of the way for me. read more

Then I found Flowers by Micki, a small independent florist offering beautiful arrangements at fair prices with friendly responsive service and free local delivery, even on a holiday. Yesss. I spoke to Micki who didn't bat an eye when I told her that the flowers were for me. I requested an arrangement with a tropical theme and early delivery, then let Micki work her flowery magic. When the flowers arrived I was FLOORED by the abundance, beauty and freshness of the arrangement. Honestly I have never seen such a gorgeous arrangement in my life, feel like I'm living in a tropical paradise now rather than cold gray snowy NY. The lush arrangement is chock full of orchids, birds of paradise and other exotic blossoms, artfully arranged in a leaf-wrapped glass vase. And the delivery man was very friendly too. Before I came across Mickis I would have to order online and pay high prices for some mediocre, small and terrible arrangements. I saw a grand opening sign on Post Ave and I like to support local businesses so i went inside and was greeted by the nicest, friendlist staff even though they were busy. I told her I needed something for my wife and what my budget was and she told me to come in later. When I returned I was astounded and thought I had made a mistake and ordered a bouquet out of my budget. Surprisingly it was what i asked for in my budget and I when I got home my wife was thrilled. Please order all of your flowers from Micki. She was amazing when I ordered 2 dozen sunflowers for a friend coming out of surgery. Micki was extremely friendly and helpful with the arrangement and when the sunflowers arrived at her shop she even called me personally to let me know that they were sub par and she did not feel comfortable sending. Cannot recommend this place enough. I wanted to support a local shop so I called Micki's and asked if they had some small bouquets that weren't too expensive since I was picking my girlfriend up at the airport. Obviously the answer was yes and I went in about 15 minutes later. As soon as I came in I was greeted and asked if I had been the one calling about the small bouquets. I didn't get the gentleman's name but he had put a few together at different prices just for me to choose from!
