This florist is an affiliate of 1 800 Balloons. I ordered from 1 800 Balloons and they chose their affiliate Flowers By Stella to fulfill the order. What I ordered was balloons for the birth of a baby boy and what was delivered was a disgrace. I am satisfied with the customer service from 1 800 Balloons but it doesn't erase the disappointment and embarrassment of what was delivered in my name. I have attached photos of what I ordered and what they delivered. They obviously went to the dollar store and just bought random balloons. In celebration of family birthdays this week, I donated altar flowers at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in Ayer, ordered from Flowers By Stella. What arrived was the most incredible and huge bouquet of blossoms beautifully arranged in a large vase. It was the Church Administrator who actually placed the order and we purposely gave Stella freedom to select from her freshest, in-season flowers. To say I was delighted is an understatement. Called to place an order early on Thursday for delivery Friday afternoon (not on a holiday or busy season). Just after 5:00PM on Friday, when I found that they had not been delivered, I called. I was told that they were just finishing the arrangement & it would be delivered right away. After about 30 minutes later when they had not been delivered (and knowing their location was less than 1/2 mile away) I called again. I was told that they were on their way but the delivery person had gone to the wrong address. I told them to simply cancel the order. The response was simply "O.K." with little apology or effort to recover my business, not that I was eager to hear an apology or that there was much they could offer to make up for the failure. Again this was not on or around any holiday or busy time of year. Just a failure to deliver on what I believe was simply service that was offered & expected. If one cannot depend on delivery on a regular weekday, what could be anticipated on a holiday or busy time of year? Definitely will look elsewhere in the future! read more

Ordered online and the company sent the order to Stella's to fulfill. The difference between what I ordered and what was delivered was night and day. The plant arrangement I chose had 3 levels. I purchased the top one in a nice handled basket with greenery towering over the handle full and lush with a splash of small yellow blooming flowers. I have used Stella's in the past and they were good but several people recently ordered funeral flowers and a plant for my loved one from this florist and I wouldn't rate any of the flowers or plants above a 3. The two bouquets aren't lasting very long compared to bouquets received from another florist. The plant was delivered with a broken leaf. Very disappointed as I know the flowers weren't cheap. read more

AWFUL! Wish I had read reviews before buying from here! I specifically asked that the 2 arrangements I purchased going to separate houses be delivered on December 24th. I was told that was not a problem. They get delivered on the 23rd at 9:00 p.m. by 2 guys that looked like thugs. My sister was not home, but my nephew was, and he refused to open the door because who the hell delivers flowers at 9:00 p.m. by 2 creepy guys. Instead he called the police. Merry Christmas...NOT! I had previously given this place 1 star due to them being late with the order and unhelpful over the phone. However the flowers did arrive (almost 7 hours late) and were beautiful. Can't go higher than 3 stars though, for the headache this caused my boyfriend. Perhaps they should consider leaving delivery time off of the order if they can't follow through with it. read more

Received a bereavement dish garden for my mom's passing. The 'garden' was ok, but the presentation was inexcusable for a bereavement - it was wrapped in Christmas paper, with a mangled bow attached and the card had misspellings on it. It was quite upsetting since it was a bereavement gift sent to me. For as many people that work in the shop, the professionalism is missing to have allowed this to happen. Not only that, but the delivery person trespassed onto my property by opening the door to my home and putting the basket inside my kitchen. There were lily flowers in the basket that could have killed my cat if eaten without my knowledge. Would not recommend this place, unless you don't care about quality and professionalism. read more

Flowers by Stella did a fantastic job of assisting us in finding the right flowers for the service. The arrangements were exactly as we had ordered them (if not, better!), and were delivered on time at a reasonable price. The arrangement was artistically crafted, not to mention GORGEOUS, and it seemed as though Flowers by Stella really cared about making the flowers look beautiful for the service.
