The first two weddings were small before my son was deployed with the Army. At first my husband and I didn't really think Indiana was going to be a good destination wedding, but we were wrong. The happy couple met while renting homes a mile away while they were both students at the university. The grounds and home are beautiful. I think the bride and her friends stayed in the Penthouse. The wedding guests saw deer before the ceremony. I didn't see the deer because my son was escorting my husband and I to our seats before the ceremony. They set up all the tables outside and there's a nice patio for the dance floor and DJ, a little patio next to the ballroom for a bartender and an indoor ballroom if the weather doesn't permit dining outdoors.

I attended a wedding here this past Saturday, and this place is very unique…read more My boyfriend is from Indiana, and one of his childhood friends got married here. It's in a rural part of Brown County (Columbus, IN, technically) and we thought maybe we had the wrong address - other than a few houses around, there's nothing else out there, and no signs for the venue, either, until you are right at it. His friend's ceremony was very short, and was outdoors in the rock formation area, of which I saw pictures of on the venue's website. Luckily it was a great day weather-wise - if it was rainy I could foresee some issues, as there's no cover. From there, we moved to the tent next door, which I believe he had rented (not sure it comes with the venue rental). There's also some sort of house or lodge on property, where I assume is for the bride, groom, and bridesmaids/groomsmen to get ready. The only negative I can say is that there were no "regular" bathrooms, only port-a-potties, which I definitely was not expecting. I can only assume that the house/lodge had a regular bathroom for the bridal party, but I'm not 100% sure on that. Otherwise, very nice area and venue, and I very much enjoyed attending the wedding I went to there.

I knew that I would be attending an event there and needed to know how "handicap accessible" the site was as we had someone who would not be able to walk very far and would need a scooter. The voicemail does pick up and if I remember correctly, the gentleman's name who does the recording is Daniel. I never received a follow up call so I had to tell the attendee that she might have issues traversing the terrain. The wedding area was very pretty and can be decorated nicely. I was a little surprised that some of the areas had not been mowed or hit with a weed eater? There is potential here for a nice venue for small intimate weddings.

Their eye for detail and since of timing were fabulous. They were super easy to work with. They had a well planned out list of shots and were also ready to pivot in a different direction in a moments notice if there was a different shot wanted. I set my phone down early in the day and decided to just live in the moment and not worry about trying to take pictures because of how detailed they were. Their professionalism gave me the freedom to enjoy this amazing day with my family and not worry about capturing anything. I couldn't be more happy with how beautiful the picture they took turned out. If you want pictures that you will cherish for a lifetime then look no farther. We told him that we wanted a photographer who more or less stayed behind the scenes and let things go with the flow, rather than one who was distracting with too many planned shots. He did exactly that on our wedding day! He was funny and calmed our nerves before the ceremony. Turns out that he also moonlighted at our reception venue and knew all the staff! The price is on the high side, but he has a lot of experience in the biz. The shots that we got back were beautiful. Everyone kept on commenting on what great photos they were!

He was always prompt, friendly, and professional, and he went above and beyond what I expected to make sure that we had a great finished product. He was willing to spend many hours with us and went to several different locations. The final video was excellently done, and was well worth the financial investment. We received so many compliments on the Bride & Groom Profile at our wedding, and it was definitely a highlight of our day! I would recommend to everyone to use 3 to 1 Videos!

My daughter's sorority hosted a dinner, 150 people. Sycamore Farms provided 2 bartenders, 40 minute…read morewait for Cocktail Hour. When dinner was served, 1 8-foot table being served originally on 1 side. The 3 to 4 servers did expand to double rows after 45 minutes waiting in line, ran out of food, utensils.... There were maybe 60 chairs to sit down and eat. I don't know where the breakdown in communication happened, but we all RSVP'ed, $33 each, and the numbers were so off it was like Sycamore Farms planned for 60 people. It's a beautiful venue, but I'd be very hesitant to book an event there again given what happened that night.

There is plenty of space for guests to mingle both in the barn and out on the lawn. Croquet, cornhole, etc. in addition to a designated smoking area. Bathrooms are set up in adorable converted stalls, the bar area is easy to access, there is a designated space for a buffet setup, and I loved the table decor. String lights and soft lighting (no harsh fluorescents!) made the entire place feel like it was lit by stars and moonlight. The dance floor is a covered space between the two sections of the barn, but the walls are open for easy access/mingling. Small tables everywhere, so I never felt like I had to scramble for a place to put my wallet and phone. The owners were unobtrusive, kind, and made sure everything went off without a hitch. If you're searching for a Bloomington-area wedding venue, Sycamore Farm is highly recommended!
