This is definitely one of my favorite places to get flowers and lei downtown. I've been coming here for years and even through the pandemic, was able to get beautiful flowers and arrangements for myself and/or delivered. Her collection is unique and always has elements that are whimsical, interesting and to me, that's what sets her work apart from others. Very disappointed with the service I received yesterday. I shopped once here before and it is $$$ but for the reasons I needed the flowers I was willing to spend anything. Yesterday, I had a terrible experience and I will never go back. I walked to this location from my office that is located in the same building. I needed to get a flower arrangement for a very nice and loved coworker that lost someone close in her family. I was expecting respect and compassion to help me create a simple-classy white flower arrangement that I was wishing to give to my coworker. I pointed at a flower arrangement I liked from the fridge that had the main flowers in white but also had some in purple as an accent. I asked the florist if she could please arrange that base to all white flowers or make me a new arrangement using only white flowers -- I let her know why I needed the arrangement to be white. She took out the flower arrangement I pointed out from the fridge and took it to the counter. I explained to her AGAIN that I needed the arrangement to be only white and if she could fix that one to all white flowers I would take it or if she could make a new one it would be fine too. She then got upset because I did not want purple flowers in the arrangement. Once AGAIN I tried explaining the situation but she wouldn't listen or show respect to my needs. She got even more upset to the point of telling me to go shop for my flowers somewhere else because she was 'really busy'. I grabbed my wallet and phone from the counter and left reminding her that she did not look busy when I came in and I was also the ONLY customer she had in the store to the moment I left. I don't understand why she got upset in the first place. It is a flower shop and I was not asking for something out of the ordinary. I was very disappointed and now I will never shop there again or recommend this flower shop to anyone. I hope for her to understand one day that her business can be successful if she cares for the needs of her customers. ***And big thanks to the ladies at the NEX flower shop for helping me last night to get the flower arrangement I needed for my coworker. Flowers For You is located in the Topa Building on the corner of Bishop and Queen Street. You have to go inside the building to find this flower shop, you wont see it from the outside/street. I love the arrangements here. They are all really really nice and have a good variety every time I visit. They are a little pricey, but definitely worth it. read more

I live away from Hawaii and wanted to surprise my best friend for her birthday. Yelp lead me to Flowers For You- a florist near her work that delivers. I was able to order flowers just one day before the delivery day and it was not a problem. I spoke on the phone with Jan(?), she is very nice but her English is not perfect and a few parts of the conversation was hard to understand. The process was really efficient as I gave her a dollar amount I wanted and told her "mixed bouquet". She took notes on the address and what to write on the card- and we were off the phone with each other within 5 mins. She took my credit card number over the phone but did not charge it till the delivery day. My friend was thrilled with the surprise bouquet and for me, the size and bulk of the flowers matched the price that I felt I paid. I would use this service again. read more

Jan is a wonderful person and very helpful. After helping me we talked story about her wonderful grandchildren (Jdn & Mdl!) inspire her to keep things going. She helped me pick what is right even though my budget went from $50 to $20 because I found a $30 plushie that my receivers would have really liked and she made it work. I forgot it was my Aunts Birthday and needed flowers right away. Got a hold of James from Flowers by You and he was so nice to text me a pic of an already made arrangement similar to one I really liked on their Yelp pics. He was excited to text me and was more excited when I liked it. He was even able to walk the flowers over to my aunt since he was nearby. This flower shop is now a lifer for me and will always turn to them for anything because of their over the top service. They don't really deliver outside of Honolulu but they are your best bet for a surprise delivery to your sweetheart working in Downtown. Don't worry, they DO NOT charge for expedited or guaranteed delivery. In fact, they are not affiliated with an online or telephone floral service. When you call, you will either talk to Jan or her elderly Mother, who doesn't speak good English. It's basically just Jan running the business herself. In fact, Jan or her personal friends do the deliveries themselves! Flowers for You is pricey! Don't expect Home Depot or University Avenue florist prices! Jan uses premium flowers and vases and although the prices are higher, you'll be getting great quality flowers arranged by someone with 30+ years of floral experience and will be supporting a single grandmother's small business. To me, that's worth the extra $5-10. read more

100% unreliable, i ordered flowers for my wife's birthday at 8:00 am, paid extra for guaranteed expedited delivery before noon but the flowers never arrived even after at 5:00 PM. I called to check on the status at 2:00 PM, they told me that the flowers were on route but they never made to my wife's office by 5:00. They completely lied to my my face!! When I called at 5:00, I was told that the agent was going to try to call the florist the next day to check on the status and get to get delivered the next day...like if they would magically change my wife's birthday by one day!! WTF!! The worst part, they offered me a 20% discount for being late.... Yeah like that's going to make up for it... Stay away from this place, there are plenty of other online websites for flowers at the same cost!! Bad business practice and horrible costumer service!! read more

Sitting here studying I was thinking about this past week and the flowers I ordered and sent out to my special someone this past week. I've been ordering flowers from this flower shop for over three years now and not once have they disappoint me. I've never even seen the flowers or even know what the shop looks like. But it was the closest shop I could find on google near the area of Honolulu, where my love works. Which was hard to do from Iraq at the time I found this great flower shop. I've been satisfied ever since. And since they made the special effort of texting me a picture this time of what they sent out I'm taking out the effort to write about them. Personally, in short it works out kind of like this, I think of my love, I call up the flower shop, the very helpful Jen with an asian accent usually answers, forgive me if that's not how to spell her name but Jen already knows me by phone only. She even asks me sending flowers to "her" again, lol. Continuing I either tell her what I need sent or ask her what's nice today and if she can place some meaningful orchids or roses or all roses depending on the occasion which are for the most part spontaneous. At times I'm asked what I'd like to spend or Jen offers what I can get on a deal for how much I've spent. She let's me know what she can put together for me. The deal is closed and the flowers go out. I'll anxiously call back to find out if they were delivered. She'll confirm and a moment is born in my relationship. I'd like to express my gratitude for the outstanding service. I'm not rating spending here because they're gifted moments I'm buying and I believe I've received my money's worth. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE. I took my 2 year old son here to buy a flower for his grandma. The lady was SO RUDE and didn't want to help us because she was "eating lunch." So I asked her why were her doors open if she didn't want to help us. And she ended up telling us "who do you think you are?! we have the right to refuse service, get out!" I couldn't believe it. I can't believe how a business owner can talk to a customer like that, especially with a child! I live in Texas and found Flowers For You online. I spoke with James. He could not have been more helpful! I wanted to send a floral arrangement to a friend staying at a nearby hotel. James asked what type of flowers I was looking for, and based on my feedback he offered a few suggestions. He texted me a photo of the arrangement when it was ready, and delivered it personally the next afternoon. Because the hotel was so close to his store, he even waived the delivery fee. How's that for service?! The total cost was only $50, and my credit card was not charged until the flowers had been delivered. I would not hesitate to recommend this florist to anyone. OMG, Flowers for you SAVED THE DAY!! I was so busy on Valentine's Day I had to get something last minute. They stayed open late just for me. The arrangement was amazing and the gf was stoked. Their service is great and the price very reasonable. Even though downtown is busy, there is usually street parking where you can run in and pickup your flowers, which is what I did.
