The lady warned us that it might take a while because of the way the manufacturer does things. Summer turned to fall; fall to winter (which is awfully long here in Wisconsin but I digress). I called them because they couldn't pick up the phone and call me. I called twice and was told by a woman that it was on order. I asked when to expect it and was assured that it would be in about Mothers Day. Winter turned to spring (finally) and spring was in full force late in May. But I waited into June. I called twice and twice was told by a young woman that she would give the message to Al (the big cheese there). She said she would call back. Needless to say Al never called back. I decided to go in there, cancel my order and use my gift certificate for something else. I decided not to be angry. I told him that my calls hadn't been returned. He knew my name and so knew the situation. Despite all this there was not one single word that indicated remorse or an apology! If you go there never order something. Go to Home Depot where they deliver on their promises to order stuff. My old review: A plethora of plants, lawn ornaments, knick-knacks, lawn furniture packed into a relatively small location! They have a wide variety of stuff: kitsch to somewhat elegant. Fun to browse and check things out. The hired staff is friendly and helpful but stressed: I've been in there a number of times when there is a wait to get a staff member to help. For certain requests they seem to be required to talk to the owner, Al. Their plants look to be very well taken care of. Their parking lot is smallish.

Their staff is knowledgable and friendly, albeit sparse. You do have to seek them out, but when you find them, they are good. The best by far is Al, I'm assuming that he is the owner. He is tremendous and will take all the time you need to walk the grounds and help you pick out just the right solution for your needs. All of the local landscape designers direct their clients here - enough said. If you show up on a Saturday, expect to wait for assistance. The place is often packed, especially in spring and early summer. The quality of their trees, shrubs, and other plantings is tremendous. I don't really focus on price, as landscaping for me is a long term investment, so I don't know how they compare here. They have the largest selection in the area. If you have a specific need that they don't stock, they usually can get it ordered and delivered within a week or two. I have done this a number of times, all with good success. I have used them for four phases of our home landscape design, done professionally by Susie Murphy of Landscape Solutions (recommended). We started in 2008 and will finish in 2013. Window Box quality has remained strong during this time. If you prefer searching through the parking lot nurseries of Menards, Home Depot, Walmart, etc. then please stay there. If you choose to hire her, please be very conscientious of what you agree to (whether it's in the contract or not) because she will hold you to it and not allow you to change your mind with ANY details. Her decor is outdated, and just because I did not tell her this in our initial meeting, she refused to hear our requests to take things down (mind you, these were things that did NOT make her job any more difficult). When asked by both my wedding planners (whom she refused to even speak to), my mom, my step mom, my husband's mom, my matron of honor, and countless bridesmaids, to remove the decor that did not match our theme for our event, she refused and was mean, rude, and downright terrible to all of the most important people in my life. My family and bridesmaids had to spend most of Friday and Saturday trying to plead with her to make the decor and bar changes that we wanted. She only responded to me with "Well there's a difference between a bartending service and a bartender." At 11pm, on the day of our wedding, she decides to tell my husband that she is charging us for "damages" to her equipment that was mysteriously packed away already. I can't even begin to tell you how terrible she was to work with and how incredibly discouraging it was to worry about something as silly as decor on my wedding day. She cares more about her pride than making her customers happy which is so very sad and I have no idea how she's still in business. She does not work well collaborating with other vendors so please don't book her for your wedding. Do not book her for any event other than a low-key event otherwise she will find a way to disappoint you.

Wonderful Service! I recently took in four different items (an older tablet, a newer laptop and…read moretwo very old gaming systems) to be repaired. The owner Wayne was so incredibly kind, patient and professional and he explained everything they would attempt to do to fix the issues. I explained to Wayne that we were in a bit of a time crunch as we were leaving for the winter and he assured me they could get things done according to our schedule. He even offered to take the items to the post office and send them to us if the repairs took more time than we had available. Now that is going above and beyond! Wayne was very upfront about costs and two of the items would have cost much more to fix than to buy new. The repairs that were completed were finished quickly and by someone who was very meticulous. I should note that prior to going to Complete Cellular Repair I went to the Geek Squad at Best Buy and they didn't open up any devices rather they pronounced them DOA and told me I needed to buy new. Wayne and Stanley, his tech assistant, took a look at the same device and said it was an easy fix and went to work right away on it. The device has been working beautifully since and the cost was extremely reasonable, much less than purchasing a new laptop. It's hard to find true service in today's world especially in the world of tech. I am so impressed with Wayne at Complete Cellular Repair. I had very dry eyes, it felt like there was something stuck in my left eye and I would walk around…read morewith my eye partly closed and I was using eye drops a lot. After attempting to fix the problem with prescription eye drops and special contact lens, I saw David at the Stine Eye Center and he used intense pulse light therapy, what a game changer, it worked great, I can't thank him enough. I have attended the Wednesday Night Summer Concert Series many times and have enjoyed the free music very much! Bring a chair, your favorite snacks and beverages and enjoy some free entertainment. On Thursday afternoons (summer) there is usually some type of farmers market with an occasional entertainer on stage. The venue is a city square block that was a water fountain that kids can play in. There are tables and chair along the "restaurant side" or can order takeout and enjoy the nice weather. In winter there is a free ice rink and snow slide for the kids.

It has become a…read morehub for a variety of actvities: concerts every Wednesday evening in the summer; Chalkfest in July, a Farmers Market every Thursday, ice skating in the winter, a fountain that kids love to run in, a variety of special events, etc. They have very good bands at the summer concerts: a wide variety of musical genres are represented. One of my favorites is Copper Box. The Farmers Market has a variety of fresh produce, a variety of services and products and of course some food tents/carts. One of my favorites are the eggrolls made by the Hmong Missionary Alliance Church: Man can these people cook! The sound stage is very nice; it is not an old style band shell. You can hear fairly well even if you are sitting outside a restaurant like Townie's and a perfect summer evening as the sun goes down. I think of Janis Joplin singing: Summertime and the livin' is easy.
