Super friendly service and a unique spot with interesting menu items like bottomless coffee and soup. We also ordered the Mahoney and were lucky enough to win the coin flip for a free one, which made the experience even more fun. We were fortunate to get in early, as the line didn't move very quickly--seems like it takes a while to get people in and out of the diner. The bottomless coffee tasted a bit watered down according to my friend.

I think this is a chain restaurant. The diner offers breakfast and lunch options. I just wanted to eat something light and had a salad. Service was prompt. Nice diner theme; old school American rock 'n roll for the decor.

    Mahoney - lunch version.

Floyd's Diner is a locals' favorite, so you know that means it's good! I've been here three times now, including Christmas, and it's always bustling with people. Expect a bit of a wait, or snag some bar seats. Of course, the go-to at Floyd's is the Mahoney. There's a breakfast and lunch version, and the creations can be pretty out there. It's a bit pricey at $17, but the portion size is quite generous. If you're feeling lucky, ask to "flip" for your meal. You'll have a chance to flip a coin and guess heads/tails. Should you guess correctly, it's removed from your tab. Should you get it wrong, you pay double. My go-to order -- no matter the time -- is the 420 Benny. Lox, baby arugula, cream cheese, hollandaise, hold the fried capers. Absolutely delicious. The 420 Benny is $17, too. The portions here are huge by default, so I tend to take some leftovers home. They also have drinks with Kahlua in them. I only recently tried one, but I was hooked. I will definitely order it again.

Chicken tacos, side salad. Sausage, eggs, potatoes & multi-grain toast.

Sure it's underwhelming from the outside, and well worn from the inside but the moment you walk in the vibe is upbeat, and the staff, the tunes, the decorative signage and definitely the food all make it a nice, comfortable and easy experience. We had a breakfast plate (really good sausages) and chicken tacos with a side salad instead of fries. Everything was fresh, very tasty and more than plentiful.

    Homer's Benny

Great food, huge portions. I tried the Homer's Benny that had chicken, bacon, mushrooms, sautéed onions, and a poached egg with hollandaise on top. It was so good! Will definitely eat here again when we come to visit.

Expensive but worth it! the Herb Hudson is amazing and everything you eat here is divine! The fried chicken is the best I've ever tasted.

It used to be one of our favourites but the last few times our eggs haven't been cooked as ordered and service has not been as good.

I mean the amount of food I got with their "BC Hash" was enough for me to take home and have for lunch later on that day.

We have noticed the quality of the food slipping through the years since they opened in 2020. Tonight we came in at 7:30 on a Friday night, we were expecting to wait at least 15 minutes to get a seat. We were seated immediately in a barely filled restaurant. No server to be seen for 15 minutes, the bartender actually took our drinks and appetizer. The food is priced fairly and drinks are priced well, the cocktails are quite good actually. Deep fried pickles come out, the oil clearly needs to be changed in the deep fryer, black specks all over the pickles and definitely overcooked as they were overly browned and quite rubbery. Taste left something to be desired as well. Chicken souvlaki comes out, presentation is nice at first look, I pick the wrap up and it falls apart immediately, that's fine. I unwrap the wrap from the wax paper and it is COVERED in grease. I understand that I'm eating at a pub/bar but you have to draw the line somewhere on how greasy food can be. Server comes back after another 15 minutes to ask how food is, I explain that it's too greasy and I don't want it. The food was comped without request. I did appreciate that, and it goes to show that the server was aware of the problem and is attentive to her job. She was a lovely server and I have no complaints about the service I received. The food leaves a lot to be desired, disappointing.

I think it used the same sauce as the Shakshuka, so it has a bit of heat. Potatoes were still crispy. Generous portion size. My only observation was the beef was cubed, when I normally see it shredded - the use of cubes makes it feel more like leftovers. - Crepes: Very good. My daughter devoured them. She's normally a slow eater, but she ate it really quickly, which meant it was very good. Service was nice, but given how quiet it was, the food came out very slow. I would say close to 20 minutes. The restaurant has a giant window panels overlooking the golf course, which is a spectacular view on a sunny morning. It's also a nice, looking restaurant. The final bill was slightly confusing as they add a partial service charge, but it amounted to small percentage that wasn't close to a standard 15-18% tip. I think it was supposed to reflect an inclusive tip that was covered by the free breakfast voucher, but I'm not sure. Just required a little math. Overall, it was better than I had expected. Beautiful space and good food. I would return to the hotel and the restaurant.

The quotes and license plates on the walls were good entertainment while waiting for my order. The booth seats were cozy for either a group or a solo business traveller. I ordered a coffee and The Fountain which is one of their favourites on the breakfast menu. The coffee mug is bigger than any breakfast restaurant I've been. The taste of their coffee was decent. The Fountain - 2 eggs of my preferred style, 2 slices of ham, hashbrowns and 2 pieces of multigrain toast. Their portion was very reasonable. The over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. Their ham was to my surprise thick and hearty. It's not those usual thin slices. The flavour and texture were nice. It was flavourful, but it was just a tad too salty for me. Balancing out with a bite of hashbrowm or toast was perfect. The hashbrowns were crispy on the outside and soft inside. The butter spread on the toast was evenly distributed.
