Traditional eggs Benedict on bagels with a side of tomato parmesan soup
    Stephanie M.

I loved the ambiance of this restaurant. First off COVID props to this place. A big patio outside, good distance between each table. They didn't take down personal information but I saw them sanitizing menus which was a big plus for me. The servers were really nice and attentive. The food came fast and the portions were not bad. The latte was not bad but the biscuit that came with it was mediocre. We ordered the latkes, traditional eggs Benedict on a bagel with tomato parmesan soup, lox bagel and Reuben with potatoes. The latkes came with a side is fruit, sour cream and apple sauce. I love latkes and these were not bad but not the best either. I like my latkes crispier and with more potato shred texture instead of totally blitzed. But that's just a personal preference. These latkes went so well with the sour cream. Side note, I really appreciate the different variety of fruit on the side. There was pineapple, kiwi, grape, watermelon and orange. So much variety! The traditional eggs Benedict on a bagel with a side of soup. I didn't have the soup but I heard it was delicious. The bagel was quite chewy which I liked but it was difficult to cut with a knife. The egg was nicely cooked. I just wish there was more hollandaise sauce. I appreciated the amount of Canadian bacon on the bagel. It wasn't one slice but like multiple slices. Lox bagel - I didn't try it but I heard it was not bad and there was quite a bit of salmon on top. Reuben - it was okay. Not too salty but not the reuben I was personally looking for. Nothing memorable. Wouldn't order it again. BUT, the side of potatoes was delicious. Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Would I come back? If I was in Victoria and was looking for a brunch where I didn't need to line up. Yes. If I'm looking for something to blow my socks off then no. BUT I would want to come back and try their strawberry pancakes, because they looked amazing! TIP: order potatoes as the side dish

'Healthy Start' breakfast with scrambled eggs, fresh fruit, multi-grain toast, preserves & bacon. Vanilla latté on the side. mmm~

Another good breakfast there this morning. Good indoor table spacing due to Covid-19. Hazelnut latté was good, although I couldn't really taste any hazelnut flavour. Food pic was uploaded from a prior visit there.

Excellent location, excellent staff, excellent menu, all around great place. The menu has a really good selection of healthy and indulgencey things. On weekends, there is usually a wait list at the door (pretty Victoria standard) but it's worth it and it's usually not that long.

Another Jusu Shot! This one had tumeric, apple, carrot, ginger, and others I should have remembered!

Good food BUT incredibly noisy. Virtually no sound deadening surfaces. Everyone shouting to be heard.

We ordered benny's and it was too salty, we couldn't finish our meal, though all the servers there were very kind.

It was maybe 5-10 mins before the two of us got seated. I usually don't love breakfast spots but this one was impressive. We ordered the migas & amigos, double stack griddle cakes, and caramel macadamia nut latte. We went hungry and still had leftovers because the portions are generous! The potatoes were some of the best breakfast potatoes I've had, great fresh jam, and everything was cooked really well and flavorful. I'm actually considering coming back tomorrow!

A solid spot with its own distinct vibe and an impressively long menu…read more Great for groups since there's something for everyone, and the portions are generous. Almost too much for one person. One thing that stood out: unlike most diners that only offer one brewed coffee option, this place lets you choose between regular and dark roast. Small detail, but appreciated. I went on a weekday morning, so there was no wait, but the space isn't very large, so I'd recommend making a reservation during peak hours. Staff were friendly overall, and the atmosphere is worth experiencing. That said, while the food was consistently solid, it wasn't particularly memorable. I ordered the Valentino, smoked salmon and poached egg on an English muffin with avocado, but the avocado was completely unripe, which brought down both the texture and the flavor. With a menu this wide, most dishes land in the "good" rather than "great" range, and execution details like that make a difference. If you're going for variety and the overall experience, you'll be satisfied, but if you're hoping for something exceptional, it may feel a bit underwhelming. Bottom line: a reliable brunch option for groups, as long as you're not setting the bar too high on the food itself.

We were passing by and decided to take a break before getting back on our bikes. Little June is a charming coffee shop serving breakfast, brunch, and pastries/baked goods. Fernwood coffee is also available here. We ordered an iced latte and an iced London fog. My particular favourite was the iced latte. I believe they utilize Earl Grey powder for their London fog, and I was pleasantly pleased by how wonderful it tasted. It was unusual because I was not used to the powder but rather the tea bags. The host at the cashier was really kind and provided wonderful service. They have tons of seatings. I loved how open and airy the space was! I'll have to try their brunch the next time I visit. I highly recommend this cute little spot!

It was delicious and beautiful. A lot of love and effort is put into this. Sylvia's scones are phenomenal. If she opened up a bakery I would buy all her scones and loaves. The bathroom is a nice size with a big tub. So why the three stars? There is a radiator in the room but ours didn't work well and would heat up and did not stay hot. We were cold. If you are on the first floor please note that sound travels. you can really hear any movement above you and you can hear conversations very well outside your room which didn't make me feel particularly comfortable since I'm sure even just is talking normally can be heard by others as well. Didn't feel amazing from a privacy perspective. When you book it says there is daily housekeeping. There's no daily housekeeping. We were asked if anything was missing from our room by the breakfast server but nothing else. If you're expecting your trash to be emptied or bed to be made that did not happen our whole stay. Location: not really walkable to the downtown area or most things in Victoria. A couple other small things that I wouldn't even mention if the above two were no issue: The bed was okay although not super comfortable in my opinion. The outlets are really inconvenient and there aren't many. They mention there is tea, hot chocolate, and coffee. There's no hot chocolate and no creamer in your room if you want some later. I do think this place could be good for others but it was not the right fit for us. For a bed and breakfast the room just wasn't super comfortable for us to want to spend time there.

Sylvia is a gracious experienced host with great recommendations for dinner spots. We tried both Pennyfarthing and Pagliacci and were happy with the both choices. Pagliacci had a good live band. And to top it off a small herd of deer have made the neighborhood their home. It all added up to a great stay. We'll book Fairholme again for sure.
