We heard so many rave reviews that we had to experience for ourselves. The decor was not what I was expecting . The ambiance is so inviting and relaxing. There is seating outside for dining and a lounge area to chill and talk while waiting. Food - 3.5 stars I ordered a redfish with baked potatoes and another side of veggies. (One side per dish) The redfish has a bland taste but when you add the melted season sauce, it adds flavor. The presentation of the food was plain and could be improved due to its price. Customer service - 4 stars Our waitress was friendly and prompt. Price - 3.5- 4 dollar signs You can expected to pay $20 easy per person starting off. If you add additional sides or flavored drink , look to spend at least $30 per person. Cleanliness- 5 stars Restroom - stars

Service, food quality & prices were good! Great ambiance, not the same owners as the Beaumont location so slightly different menu but overall pleased with the items listed. Food was seasoned and temperature was great & came out with boiled snow crab in very reasonable time.

Stopped here for lunch with few coworkers. The place was very busy during lunch time on Tuesday. The restaurant is fairly big. Includes dinning area, large bar and outside patio. The lunch menu has great variety of fish. Our waitress did mess up couple of our orders and mixed up togo drinks. Prices are on the high side. We averaged ~$30 / person for lunch.

This chicken fried fish withcrawfish bisque was so good, well seasoned and nicely fried. The asparagus was also very good, cooked well. Boudin balls are also good. Our server was very kind and gave us good choices of the best entrees to choose. She also checked in to ensure we were good and enjoyed the food. I think the rice should either be a flavored rice, ex. dirty rice, fried rice or have a more bisque on top.

My family and I visited this location on Saturday which the hostess did NOT greet us. Not sure if she was having a bad day but she was not friendly. We ended up sitting at the bar due to being told there was a 20 min wait even though there were SEVERAL empty tables available. Our bartender Gracie was a sweetheart. She was very accommodating and made great recommendations. Overall, the food is good but the drinks are nothing special. I would definitely stick to wine or beer.

The Food, Service, & Ambiance was fantastic! We tried the grilled & blackened crab cakes! Oh my word, they were fabulous! We had the famous oyster Floyd, they were really good but a little over powered by the cheese. I had the blacked snapper and it was delicious and the asparagus perfect. My husband had the blackened alligator and it was sooooo good and tender!

Our waitress approached us in a timely manner and remained attentive throughout our time there. Our food also arrived in a timely manner despite the place being packed to capacity. We had 11 people in our party so we ordered the Family Meal Plan, Crawfish Hookup, Seafood Basket, Gator Bites, And Boudin Eggrolls....Gator bites were uncooked so we had to send them back. The boudin eggrolls were just okay, nothing impressive. I think they should stick to boil food only...the crawfish were kind of small but that can be expected at this time of year. The crawfish were flavorful however the spicy was more like mild. I wish I would have gotten the extra spicy...all of the boiled seafood was pretty good, the seasoning and remoulade sauce were also a great addition. Overall it was a good experience. The main complaint was for the fried gator bites and the boudin egg rolls.

The fried shrimp & cajun rice is pretty good, never had issues with servers, but the wait time is absolutely ridiculous! I have gone 3 times and each time the wait for the food is longer, which is very disappointing. There have usually been 2 waiters and at most 3-4 other families dining in. Which is why I do not understand why food takes so long. The last time I went I had to cancel my order and leave because it had been well over an hour. I'd seen several reviews with the same "long wait time" complaints & should've listened. I really wanted to love this seafood place but unfortunately, I will not be going back.

My family and I were in Galveston and decided we want to grab lunch before heading back to town. I…read moreremembered the name Pier 6 from two different group of friends so thought I should look it up and see where it was on the map. Luckily, it was somewhat on the way back so we decided to give it a try. Rolling through San Leon made us question if we were going to the right place. It didn't feel lively and definitely was not giving 'Coastal Chic', like how Pier 6 has been described. Upon arrival, it was a totally different vibe and 'Coastal Chic' is a fitting description for the place. We were seated right away and they offered a high chair for our little one. We started out with fresh oysters and a flight of margaritas. If you're an oyster fan, it's worth getting the oysters. Super fresh. The flight presentation was so beautiful. My husband and I had fun trying the different margaritas. The blue one was coconut flavored. It reminded me of a piña colada but with tequila. We were surprised that we liked this one. The pink one was watermelon flavored. We could taste the smokiness of the mezcal in it. This was a nice, not sweet drink. The white one was their classic take on margarita. We thought this one was too sweet for our taste buds. The orange one was mango and I think chamoy. This reminded me of the Mexican candy Lucas - sweet and tangy. All drinks were finished. LOL Now to the main dishes. My husband had the Mahi Mahi and said the fish was fresh and had a good amount of seasoning on it. The risotto and mushroom was a solid pairing with it. He cleared the dish. I had the tomato salad and clam chowder. Their tomato salad was so good. It was light and refreshing. I love that there were dill and capers too. Their clam chowder is definitely different compared to others I've had. The soup was more like a light creamy broth. The clam is served whole. Oyster crackers were also in it vs served on the side. Even though it was different, I didn't mind it and killed everything. Service was as expected for the time of day. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would make the trip to the San Leon area again. A few notes: Pier 6 does have a kids menu and there's changing table in the restroom, along with some diapers. This place is in between Kemah and Galveston. It's about 15 minutes drive from Kemah and 25-30 minutes drive from Galveston.

Well I realize I completely forgot to write a review for Pier 6 when we came to visit in November…read more2025. Pier 6 menu changes from time to time. We had ordered: * Thai salad : 1/5 nothing Thai about this salad and it was terrible. * 2 dozen raw oysters: 4/5 decent good for Nov. * seafood gumbo: 1/5 we had the gumbo here before and it was decent but this time it was not the same and tasted like burnt roux which should never be served. * burger with a gravy sauce: 1/5 The brown sauce was pour around the burger and the burger was placed in the center. The burger bun was soggy and the worst burger we ever had. It was the strangest burger because we couldn't pick it up to eat it since it was soggy from the pour of the brown sauce. This burger was $25+ which was uneatable. The beef patty was unseasoned and dry. Fast forward March 2026, after the last dining experience we almost didn't want to come back. Only reason was for the oysters. We were happy to see the items that we really enjoyed was back on the menu! *Only fried shrimp $24.99: 5/5 comes with coleslaw, stellar jalapeño hush puppies which is the best I've had!, and fries. The shrimp is fresh and good size! Nothing beats a texas gulf shrimp! *Tide to fried $28.99- 4/5 comes with fried tx gulf shrimp, fried oysters, and fried red snapper, Cole slaw, hush puppies, and fries. The fired oysters were so good!!!! Like wow and well seasoned! So fresh! The shrimp is perfect! Red snapper super disappointed because it was super fishy. I do not recommend the fried red snapper. Next time definitely get the only shrimp or only oysters combo and pass on the tide to fried which included the fried snapper. *3 dozen oysters - $14.99 per dozen: 5/5 the oysters in March a plump and juicy! So much better than Nov (early season) oysters. The oysters Unfortunately had shells from shucking the oysters so when eating them I bite into shell and thought I almost cracked a tooth. Quality of the oysters great 5/5. The shucking and handle of the oysters 1/5. No guest should eat shuck raw oysters bite on shell. That's a law suit waiting to happen and I hope this establishment does better because we love their freshness of their oysters. *Ocean water $6 happy hour : 5/5 reminds me of sonic ocean water except spiked lol *Watermelon slush $6 happy hour: 1/5 it was so strong and I felt the smokiness was too much. Love the ocean water more because it hides the alcohol and easy to drink. Service was meh. The place was packed at 5pm on a Friday. Not sure why our entrees and drinks came out before our appetizers which I felt was inappropriate. We had to flag down our waiter a few times for items. He did check in with us once after we got our food and took our first bites. Do I recommend Pier 6? Based on this recent visit I am glad I didn't write them off and yes. The food was great minus the oyster cleanliness. Definitely a favorite place for oysters and the best fried shrimp/oyster plate the area and Galveston even. Only negative is the blasting of the music. It's so loud we can not hear our conversation and will induce you a guarantee headache. It does not matter if you sit inside or outside.. it's the same noise level which is concert loud. The videos killer outside and so beautiful but I feel the blaring of music takes away from the charm of this place. If you are into rowdy loud places this is for you. Other than that, maybe distract one self by ordering happy hour drinks so it helps with the intense loud music.
