This used to be one of Baytown's most unique and interesting restaurants. They closed for a while and reopened, and we tried to eat there today. There is a surcharge to eat in the restaurant now, but there was no table service. Paying extra for the privilege just to sit in the restaurant didn't appeal to us, so we left. read more

Wow my friends!!!! This is my first unhappy review. I seen a tictok of this place about the seafood and the delicious meals served. When I arrived right on the door said 5%percent ser charge for dinning in. Really!!!! Then they didn't even have food on the menu. No oysters no full bar. The girl that took my order was not very welcoming and just took our orders. I chugged my beer and sad I'm taking this to go. If this place was something...that time has passsed. I didn't even know you can mess up a simple side. it was dry, bland, & barely had any eggs in it. boudin egg rolls - I liked it. remoulade sauce was good considering I live in houston & was visiting my bf in the area, it's not likely I would return if I happen to crave crawfish again. Ive driven by this place time & time again going to & from school (lee college) & today finally a friend & i decided to go for lunch. i was NOT disappointed AT ALL!!! its got a cute interior, bright in contrast to the black exterior. i ordered the boudin eggrolls & black bayou shrimp rice. the rice came in a huge portion. the rice was stir fried with crawfish tails & sausage, peppers & onions & topped with a lot of boiled shrimp smothered in a mild cajun butter sauce. i took more than half home with me after lunch. with both & a drink, lunch cost around $30 but it was worth it. im sure we'll go back soon! read more

Food was so good!!! We ordered the boudin egg rolls and sausage, regular egg rolls for an appetizer. They were all delicious. The fried shrimp were large, and fresh and perfectly cooked. Fries and hush puppies were also good. The crawfish and shrimp fried rice was delish. We did the boil and the shrimp, crab, mussels and crawfish were all very good. My boyfriend got me the house special crawfish to go and it was still very yummy after sitting out for a few hours Crawfish were medium to large sizes and very flavorful. It was $6 a pound which is the cheapest I've heard of in the Houston area.. I just paid $10 somewhere else last week! Highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

Would I go back? Maybe? I don't know what Vietnamese place that charges for bean sprouts, first you give me less than a handful of bean sprouts for my pho. Do you know how much normal people put all their fixins in their pho? I call that a rip off. The pho broth lacked flavor, had to ask for extra hoisin sauce, still didn't help. Got the combination pho, it was presented well, all meats tasted well, there was a lot of pho noodles, although the broth makes everything. Banh mi was really good! Added an egg on top. Spring rolls were nice and plump. I would like to try the fried rice and the crawfish when it's season. For the area, this place is great. For a viet, I had better but not horrible. The food in this place is good The service is exceptional We went at 8:30pm to find a nearly full restaurant, we were greeted immediately, asked to wait for a table, it was less than a minute until they hustled one up for us. The servers never let our glasses run empty, kept asking if we needed anything, sauces, napkins, how is our food. They worked so well together and we felt well taken care of. This place has never disappointed me, except for today. Once I got home we opened the food and my kid opened the pho container and the smell of expired food came out. I don't need my child getting food poisoning, the smell coming out of that pho was so strong and nasty. All the food lacked taste it's like the cooks have changed. I called and spoke to a girl who I told they should not be selling that pho. I asked for the manager and after about 3 min she came to the phone and said the manager wasn't in. I understand she's only an employee but wth don't all places need a manager or supervisor. I was trying to help a local business by ordering food and take home but after today, I definitely won't be coming back to this place. Im extremely disappointed with the food. I placed my order through waitr. I ordered 2 garlic noodles with shrimp (up charge). I received one order of garlic noodles and one order of garlic noodles with (4 shrimp) 4!!! 4 shrimp up for $5. I reached out to the restaurant and they claimed it was an issue with waitr. I was able to get a refund through waitr. As far as the food... it was meh.
