A…read morefriend of mine recently adopted a kitten (from another spot), so we thought it'd be fun to check out their shop and see what goodies they had. The store is conveniently located on Tiogue Ave, with a small parking lot right by it. When we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome and a quick rundown of their services. First up: the cat lounge. You can hang out with the cats for $20 an hour or $10 for 30 minutes, which seems super reasonable. Unfortunately, I only had about 20 minutes before a lunch reservation, so I didn't get to spend time with the cats as I'd hoped. I did though get a peek at the lounge itself through a window in a little alcove area with a coffee maker, and wow--what an awesome space for the cats! The owner even went in to give out some treats, so we got a good look at Zeus, the most majestic white Maine Coon I've ever seen. The cats looked so happy and energetic, and the lounge had plenty of seating for anyone wanting to chill and connect with the adoptable cats--there were over 10 available! After that, we spent some time browsing their small shop, which had all sorts of fun stuff: collars, custom (and funny) t-shirts, travel mugs, catnip toys, survival bracelets, door mats, coasters, air fresheners, sanitizers, chapstick holders, keychains, cross-stitches, figurines, scratchers, and more! While it was definitely stocked with lots of cool items for pet owners, I was hoping to find more stuff for my own cat. Still, it was clear they have a great selection for both cat and dog lovers. All in all, it's a cute spot and seems like a fantastic place to find your next fur baby. They also keep their Facebook page updated with adoptable cats and their hours, so it's worth checking out if you're in the area and want some quality time with the feline crowd!

There are 2 resident Maine Coons who are there all the time - they are SO big and affectionate! There must have been about a dozen cats there when we went. $10 for an adult and $5 for a child to go in. Don't remember if that was for 30 mins or an hr, but it felt like plenty of time! The one staff member there was pleasant. I just love that we have a place we can go to if we have no other plans on a rainy day. You leave full of kitty love!

My golden retriever named Dobie is the light of my life and my best friend. He's almost 2 years old…read morenow and I love him to pieces he is so well-mannered and well-tempered but even more important just a loveable goofball. He loves his humans so much and is such a cuddle bug. Everyday when I come home from work he runs up to me and sits on my lap. He's a big handsome boy as well, he's always soaking up compliments. When we got him we worried about how he'd treat his old man brother Reggie who is 11 and a small dog. (Worried he'd try to play too rough) But he listened to Reggie's body language and quickly learned that he was to be Gentle with his older brother and adapted a play style of kissing and cuddling Reggie. I love Dobie so much he's a healthy, big, handsome, goofball with a great temperament but also so much personality. When we got Dobie, working with Dylan was also very great. Communication was easy and he was able to answer all of our questions and any concerns. I could tell he cared and loved the pups and wanted them to go to a safe, loving home.

I just visited with west Warwick animal shelter with a friend who has Down syndrome. We were…read morelooking for a cat for his family. We didn't have an appointment but when we arrived the girl working the desk (Abby) said there were no bookings so we could come in. She showed us the animals and explained the details of each one, age, temperament, cost etc, and answered some of my friends additional questions which had nothing to do with the animals. We got an application and Abby went over all the costs with us so we could write them down. She couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. As sad of a place as an animal shelter can be, she brightened it up and made our visit enjoyable and informative. Hopefully my fiends family will adopt a cat from this location and I know when I'm looking for a an animal this will be one of my first stops. Thanks Abby and all the cats and dogs in west Warwick.

I saw a police officer on E. Greenwich Ave. and stop to ask if he had seen a white dog in the area. The police officer was extremely kind and caring. He informed me that she had already been picked up and was at West Warwick animal shelter. I immediately drove over there and when I walked in, I met a young man named Paul. Paul was absolutely AMAZING! I can't thank him enough for the concern and kindness he showed me. The shelter was clean and the few fur babies that were under their care looked comfortable and well taken care of. I gladly give this 5 STARS!!!!!!!!! Thank you for taking such good care of my baby. I am very grateful and especially, to Paul.

She loves all people and animals. She loves her family best but she loves everyone in the neighborhood and they greet her enthusiastically by name when they see her. She visits the local Pharmacy Store and Lottery store and everyone loves her and she showers them with affection, tails waging, and great amounts of kisses. Lily is our greatest love. We call her our ambassador of joy. Lily is our heart, our love, and our joy and we cannot thank Kendra enough. She was the person that made sure Lily was healthy, microchiped, and very much loved.

She responded very quickly, answered all our questions, had lots of information about the breed, was able to setup a totally safe space for our family to meet the pups and the mom, and was just overall fantastic to deal with. And of course, most importantly, we got a beautiful little male dachshund that has been a perfect fit in our home. He is healthy, well adjusted, great with children, and a great example of the breed. Kendra and her dachshund, Mummas, make absolutely beautiful little puppies. Even after taking our little guy home she has been very helpful providing information our vet asked for and was excited to see pics of how he's grown. She is a true dachshund lover.
