There were no warnings during our time there of anything we were doing incorrectly or reasons why were given in the email. We were left saddened and humiliated. They were responsive to my questions via text or phone throughout the process. When I picked him up, the foster parents were there so there was an opportunity to hear see first hand how loved he had been. I waited a long time to adopt another dog, taking into consideration the high cost of vets, food, insurance, and reputable sitters. He I stretched my budget , but I was prepared, and he is worth his weight in gold. I had not adopted in years, but they were very transparent about the costs involved in the process. They indicated they would take $50 off the bill with proof of neutering, which they did. I was surprised by a couple of negative reviews I saw. The PawSafe Alumni Facebook group is very active. There are hundreds of very happy dogs and owners. We're like a family. I know people often write only when they have negative experiences and the rest of us do not, but I had to weigh in. Dogs everywhere deserve to be rescued. Do not be discouraged!

The application asks for your birthdate and age of everyone in your home, including age of all pets. They replied to my app telling me to adopt an older dog. When I asked why, they restated the same. They never answered my questions. This is age discrimination. The application is extremely intrusive, and the owner is very judgemental, without reason.

A great place to spend an hour surrounded by new friends!…read more LOCATION: There are two separate lots: the main lot where the entrance is located and a very small area that can hold 4-5 cars. The entrance was a little hard to find but there was someone standing there to guide you in. There are a lot of sings that say "do not enter" so be wary! STAFF: All of the staff was VERY welcoming and friendly. The staff member at the front gave us a rundown of the rules and told us we can roam around freely. We went for the autumn festival which was just a scavenger hunt. The staff helped us around with the clues and introduced a few of the animals to us. ANIMALS: We were greeted by Velcro - one of the friendliest cats I met. We also saw Jack, the resident dog, sniffing around. The animals all have very interesting but sad backstories - it's great that they ended up here at Winslow Farm. Some of the animals are kept away from the guests but you are allowed to pet! Many roam around freely! GUESTS: We visited on a Saturday afternoon and didn't see too many other guests - the staff probably outnumbered the guests. I did witness some boys chase around some ducks and geese. If you bring your kids here, just be alert and parent. This is their home and you're the guest - kids will be kids but also teach them to respect the animals' space. PRICES: The admission goes towards feeding and maintaining care for these animals so it all goes towards a good cause. Overall, I respect the farm's mission and I think it's a great place for everyone to learn about the animals. lol

Lily is the love of our family's lives and she has gotten us through some very difficult times. She is beautiful beyond compare, loving, empathic, smart, fun, intelligent and very friendly. She loves all people and animals. She loves her family best but she loves everyone in the neighborhood and they greet her enthusiastically by name when they see her. She visits the local Pharmacy Store and Lottery store and everyone loves her and she showers them with affection, tails waging, and great amounts of kisses. Lily is our greatest love. We call her our ambassador of joy. Lily is our heart, our love, and our joy and we cannot thank Kendra enough. She was the person that made sure Lily was healthy, microchiped, and very much loved.

She responded very quickly, answered all our questions, had lots of information about the breed, was able to setup a totally safe space for our family to meet the pups and the mom, and was just overall fantastic to deal with. And of course, most importantly, we got a beautiful little male dachshund that has been a perfect fit in our home. He is healthy, well adjusted, great with children, and a great example of the breed. Kendra and her dachshund, Mummas, make absolutely beautiful little puppies. Even after taking our little guy home she has been very helpful providing information our vet asked for and was excited to see pics of how he's grown. She is a true dachshund lover.
