Some brickwork is cracked around suspended arches and cornerstone decorative pieces (e.g. above garage doors) but obviously has been for decades. I specifically called Cornerstone because I wanted a serious contractor who does actual poured footings, not that stacked cylinder mess that could actually crack your foundation worse as they use your house for the jack leverage. Dave was on time, courteous and (given that our appointment was in the middle of the Viral Apocalypse) understanding that I was working from home instead of 'off' for the day of our appointment. We spoke for a bit, he outlined everything well and asked pertinent questions about my reasons for calling, then got down to work inspecting...and recommended no work be done at this time. I offered to pay a service charge but he said that wasn't necessary. We did follow up on the phone briefly (I was busy when he was finished) and I am strongly considering coming back to them for some drainage improvements here and there as precautionary measures. Thanks for the time and professionalism.

We had our tenant report a cracked foundation in our Fort Worth home…read more We sent a technician from Gl hunt foundation repair out to do a free inspection. Upon inspection they found some minor foundation settlement deficiencies. After a quick fix we were back up and going with a lifetime warranty on the work !

GL Hunt's initial foundation repair work was completed on my home in 12/24; and was signed off by a…read morestructural engineer shortly after. We were told then to allow 6 months before doing any cosmetic repairs inside. By late summer 2025 we noticed significant shifting by way of doors not opening/closing as they had. An adjustment in 10/25 was necessary due to 25 of the 32 piers sinking. All 32 were adjusted to bring the house back to level. There was no structural engineer to confirm the accuracy of the 2025 adjustment and the clock to start inside work had to be restarted. Immediately following the 2025 adjustment, a significant crack appeared on the west wall of my house, running through the bricks--not just mortar. There were no cracks on that wall prior to any of the foundation work. On 2/24/26, GL Hunt returned to check the house's levelness, finding that the area with the crack is now over .5" higher than the rest. They dismiss the crack as cosmetic only, even though the elevated area suggests it was over-lifted in the 2nd adjustment. Despite a lifetime warranty, the company says additional work to address this will result in them no longer warranting the 5 over-lifted piers. This is troubling, as this is the entire point of a warranty; and the crack is a direct result of their work. Efforts to contact GL Hunt for resolution since 2/24 have been ignored. Our dilemma is that we do not believe we can trust GL Hunt to effectively correct this issue and fully honor the warranty for its entire lifetime, which raises concerns about the long-term reliability of the product and support thereof. Ultimately, this unresolved issue affects the safety, stability, and value of my home. We have attempted other avenues to resolve this issue, to no avail. They have offered a review by a structural engineer (of their choice, of course); and an offer to fix the issue "at a fair cost". Fair would be to have handled this correctly, up front from the beginning, but here we are.

Hired A-1 Foundation Repair late last summer around September. I have a 4300 Sq foot house I needed…read moreto fix the foundation before putting on the market for sale. This was a big expense, and something that took me time to save up for. Kevin Procor came and did the site visit and emailed me a bid. I felt it was reasonable, so I hired them to do the work. They came recommended by my Realtor, was the only reason I chose them. They started and finished the work at the end of September. I made a trip down, just to be there while they were doing the work. I've done many foundations in the past 10 years. The problem areas were the front door is crooked, there was some rotted wood in the front sill, and the middle of the house was down alot. The day they were to finish, I drove to the site arriving at 4 pm. They were all gone. I noticed the front door still, untouched and crooked, and as you walked in the same areas as before were still down. It seemed like they only worked on the outer areas. In the first bedroom you could visually see a big drop at the doorway. I let them know it's not done, or right. What I got in response was threatening text message sent to my realtor that "Dylon" had sent saying he was going to sue me, and put a lien on my property. I was able to get Dylon (I guess he's the owner now (?) to come and see the work that wasn't finished. He refused to come back without charging more money, and no one was willing to ever come and actually get my foundation fixed from their company. I had a state licensed inspector come out and do an evaluation on their work. He took pictures, and gave me a report, which I forwarded to A-1. They did not do any joist, or beam wood replacement. This btw is a pier and beam house. They placed 1 4x4 fence post for support, and they did replace the rotted wood in a 5 ft section in the front sill. The piers were 2 cylinders concrete on a concrete pad. The work was mostly faulty that was done, there were already some that were broken in half, there were not centered on the pads, and "shims" were barely touching joists placed at an angle. In the room you could see the worst leveling was off almost 5" in one room. I contacted my attorney in this regard and tried to get them back out to correct their work. They did not. They wanted full payment. They placed a lien on my property. I am having another company to now do the entire job. They said they left jacks under the house, and both the next company and the inspector said they caused more damage and the house is worse after they came, then before they touched it. I'm pretty mad, this is my investment I need to sell. I would NOT recommend them to ANYONE!
