Around 3pm there are quite a bunch of high school students working out (including me). No, people don't film their friends doing sets, no, nobody is barefoot. The machines aren't sticky because you get a RAG and spray to wipe them down if they are ever left with sweat. The staff members are very pleasant, and are present during the times that are displayed on the front desk. If you're all about gym etiquette and are don't like grunting then go ahead and go to planet fitness where that grunting won't be heard over the lunk alarm, jeez. Better yet, get a pair of noise cancelling headphones or earbuds. The staff members clean and vacuum the gym as well as the bathrooms daily before they leave to go home, as this is a 24-hour gym. If there's someone using the machine you need then it's as simple as asking "how many sets do you have left?" and then being patient as said person finishes their workout. Yes, you may see high school students working out in groups and waiting for their friends to do their sets before continuing theirs, just pop a question and you'll get the machine in a few minutes. No, we don't bite. The gym was recently remodeled and looks far different than it does in the displayed photos. There are many more machines than there were a few months ago. There is also an upstairs where you can do yoga and other sort of workouts. There are many options for cardio and there are usually enough machines for everyone since there are so many. There are fans all around the gym that keep it nice and cool inside, it also usually smells good due to the staff cleaning so much. This is the perfect place to improve yourself and your quality of life, go ahead and give it a shot. Pausing and cancelling memberships are also very easy as you don't sign your soul away (unlike other gyms). One recommendation I have is about the music played in the gym, it could be a little better. However, since I am very sensible I bring my own noise cancelling headphones if I want to listen to something else. No matter when I go, and I've tried multiple locations at multiple times in the afternoon, evening and at night, the gym is OVER RUN by groups of teenagers. They gather in groups of 3-10 - all use their phones, crowd other members. Don't use the cleaning materials provided, walk around with no shoes like they own the place. They let the friends in the doors and don't scan in like other members. I've tried reaching out to club stuff or ownership and get no response. I cannot wait to find a different gym and highly recommend that if you want to workout on clean, accessible equipment you look elsewhere. They seem to have cut a deal with local junior high and high schools to allow access to an unlimited number of teenagers and it ruins the gym for all their other members and they don't seem to care.

I'd like to think I'm knowledgeable enough to find my on answers to fix these things on my own, like I have in the past, but this was serious and it was only getting worse. After just one simple evaluation and Luke had the tool and the exercise that bright balance and ultimate healing to by stiff AF elbow. I had been working out a lot and created in imbalance which caused the tendons and ligaments to inflame. Luke showed me this simple rubber thing that when I would bend it with my arms certain in a specific position that works other muscles that were opposite to what muscles I usually overworked. That simple balancing of agonist and antagonist muscles made my pain gone, and function returned before the week as over. Very competent PT help at this place. They gave a small amount of homework and it brought balance that let my tendons and ligaments not be so strained, imbalanced and angry. Don't suffer with injuries thinking they're age-related or that you just don't have it in you anymore. The human body is amazing and Luke proved that. I just needed little help. They call constantly, trying to push us into meeting with their "fitness manager," which is just a sales trap for outrageously overpriced personal training sessions nobody asked for. It feels less like a gym and more like a telemarketer with dumbbells. The place is filthy. My boyfriend used the men's showers one time and will never do it again. He said the floors were covered in this greenish slime, slippery even with shower shoes. Health-code-who? The machines aren't much better. One of them literally loosens the pin while you use it, so you're constantly resetting it unless you want to get launched into orbit. (If I wanted a surprise flight, I'd at least book Delta. That's the joke. Don't hurt me.) On top of that, their "cheap" membership isn't actually cheap. You can't sign up for the basic tier without paying over $100 in fees, BUT during the trial they'll happily steer you into the $30/month plan because that one has no sign-up fees. Classic bait-and-switch. Their class schedule is a joke unless you're unemployed or live in a different time dimension. Almost everything is during normal work hours. And the massage chairs they brag about? They're basically mall massage chairs someone threw a purple LED on. If you only need a place to swipe in and lift some weights, and you don't mind grime, upsells, or random mechanical hazards, then maybe it's worth it. For anyone expecting something clean, honest, or remotely professional... absolutely not.

I found Ryan and can't believe my luck. Ryan has it all when it comes to personal training. Ryan certainly has the training/certifications, and it shows during our sessions. He has a full understanding of human musculature and knows how to approach every workout set to maximize safety and gain the most benefit. He focuses on making sure you do everything the right way and explains why you're doing everything he shows you to do. He is really organized, keeping a detailed record of your previous sets/reps/weight to help you constantly grow and improve over time. He has a focus on weight management if you seek that, making recommendations on meal plans, use of calorie tracking apps, and just to add that helpful accountability so you can hit your health goals. He also has a massive and still growing exercise equipment inventory which I've frankly never seen before, and he always leverages the right equipment for the next step in your improvement. If you have any physical limitations, which I have a few, Ryan is always aware of them and helps you to work around them, or improve them, depending on your situation. And although I started out one-on-one, my daughter is now also attending my sessions with me, at NO ADDITIONAL COST, and he works in parallel to support both of us. Seriously, I've never been more motivated to improve, nor more stronger, than I am right now because of Ryan. Finally, he's in a new location providing a lot of room, and he's constantly adding new equipment and high value hardware which in my opinion really makes him second to none in Treasure Valley.
