Love! Stopped by yesterday while visiting the farmers market and this was the highlight of the morning!!! I chose a killer chiller - cinnamon & caramel, wowsers! I wish I could have one every day. Seriously if I get a chance to go back I will in a heartbeat. Would love to try a hot coffee to see what it's like but would be hard to resist another killer chiller. It wasn't overly sweet, flavours blended really well and there was just the perfect amount of cinnamon. I've been thinking about it ever since! Bought some beans to take home for my mum, hopefully I'll get a taste of those too 5 stars based on one visit, drink was amazing, service was welcoming and lovely. Take note of days/hours open. By chance as we were driving from the Green Sand beach to the Black sand beach we noticed this quaint and adorable mobile coffee shop along the road and decided to swing in! Boy were we in for an unexpected treat!! Both Bob and Judy were so incredibly nice and welcoming and the coffee was incredible! We love getting our same order, iced coffee with whole milk, from each new spot to see how we like them and we were more than impressed! Perfect. The perfect place for a coffee and pastry shop, even though it's on wheels. Lizzy is the best. The best barista, the best greeter, the best example of the Aloha spirit ! Of course, they serve the regional coffee, Ka'u, which is (you guessed it) the best. Also pastries and espressos, and fantastic coconut macaroons. I'm writing this review months after I came because I'm still remembering I had one of the best cups of coffee ever. Beans were from a farm up the hill and probably not available at Safeway. The coffee was between a light to medium roast and it was amazing. The blond owner who fell in love with Hawaii is so nice and kind. If you're in Volcano national Park, or out at the bakery at Southpoint, and you like coffee, this is a must try. 5/19/18 - staff is still off the hook delightful! I've been on many road trips and have always tried to sample local coffee over Starbucks to support small local businesses (I've had so much Starbucks already in my daily life) as well as to check out something different. This is one of the best small local cofee shops I've been to. I didn't expect it but was pleasantly surprised! I'm glad I checked it out! Best mocha I've had. Much better than Starbucks Mocha. The blend was so well-made that my sister who is not into espresso chocolate also found it very tasty. We only regret not having bought more than just mocha. They opened early enough for our road trip - a plus. It's a cute little food truck by the local street. Parking was easy for us as there were 2 empty parking lots sandwiching the coffee shop (it was early morning). The price for the mocha was $5 - not cheap but you'll get much better bang for your bucks than you'd at the generic Starbucks I'd say. Also love that they have explanations for each coffee type such as what mocha means (2 espresso + hot choco) - which was helpful for those who are not into coffee lingo. Excellent service and quality, delicious coffee. On the way from volcano to Kona town I needed a pick me up so I thought I'd stop at the bread factory for some coffee. The line was crazy long so I thought, there has got to be a real coffee place around here. Glad I check yelp and found Flyin' Hawaiian Coffee! We were driving through Na'alehu on a road trip around the big island, and then we saw the cute and funky Flyin' Hawaiian truck with its surf board menu, flying coffee cup logo, petroglyph artwork, idyllic setting, and cute tables and chairs out front. "Stop the car! We're having coffee here!" We had two of the best lattes ever served, and a passion-fruit bar (like a lemon bar, only with passion-fruit). Judy was very sweet to us. Always a joy driving into Na'alehu with its Monkeypod lined street and seeing the delightfully painted surfer coffee bus, the place to go for a yummy coffee and lilikoi snack. A must stop before heading up to the Volcano. I like it says I'm from SF but that was 40 years ago when I lived up on the Twin Peaks 469 Corbet ave. Now living up on the hill of Greensand estates surrounded by trees and flowers with the sound of the ocean breaking against the cliffs of South Point. Drink: Based on one drink I had here, it was AMAZING. It was the caramel chocolate coffee over ice. It originally had 2 shots of espresso, but I got one shot. I like sweet coffee and it was exactly that. I'm picky with coffee, but this place was so good! Coffee wasn't bitter. Service: The lady is SO nice. Since I got only one espresso shot, she gave the other separately in a small cup. I usually find espresso shots hard to drink, but this one was not. She was even helpful on telling my boyfriend and I on how to get to places since we are vacationing here. She is very sweet. read more

In an unexpected corner of the big island, this inviting coffee/pastry truck offers delicious, expertly made coffee using beans grown in the area and some great looking sweet treats (we had the brownies which were delicious).
