Awesome spot for a good meal and great coffee! The staff is super nice and made sure everything was perfect. The views are always amazing and it's such a nice establishment. Well kept and fits the island vibes. Little ways from the busy areas but a nice scenic drive here. Be sure to make a trip here for an all around experience! Also their cheesecakes are really really good! Different flavors like lilikoi, ube, etc.

Food: their coffee tasted great! I forgot to ask if they can make it less sweet so I'd say to me their original flavoring is on the sweet side. However their coffee is probably by far the best one that goes super well with milk we ended up buying some packs of their grounded coffee and beans. Service: it's a small and hidden shop but the staff is warm and helpful. Ambiance: deserted retro style overall. Cozy and chill.

My food was OK. My rice was hard. There was out of everything that we wanted. No potatoes menu said they had waffles no waffles. The chicken the chicken was no seasoning look like it was frozen. It's heated up, but my pancakes were good. The juices was good, but there was out of papaya. The coffees were good so I'll overall I'll give it a good three food not too well but if you come here for drinks is a good

The kalua pork is delicious! We had avocado toast, an omelet a castaway cold espresso and big island also served cold. The food was very good- highly recommend. Eggs cooked perfectly.

    Storefront, how cute!

What a cute little place! Almost missed it on the way to the volcano national park. Charming in-door and small outdoor seating area and friendly staff. We got a few items to-go, but would be back to sit a while and enjoy the place on our next visit. My mom got a latte and banana muffin and I got a small side of potatoes and sausage. Drink came out hot and fast and was probably the best coffee we had on the island, and that's saying something as coffee is everywhere, and locally-grown. Prices are great as I believe the coffee was around 5 and breakfast about 10. While your out driving around to a destination, or just want to get away from all the tourists, give this little gem a try.

Menehune is my go to spot for coffee and breakfast on big island. Service: the gals there are absolutely amazing!!! They treat you like family, even when they're slammed everyone's working hard and you can tell they care a lot for their customers. A rare thing nowadays. There's ample outdoor and indoor seating, tons of cute wall art, and behind the espresso bar there's a super neat mural showing the "pick to process" of their coffee I absolutely love menehune!!! Also pro tip for anyone wanting to treat your staff of lunch group to phenomenal coffee, call 24 hours in advance and they'll accommodate a full service to-go drip set up for your crew! Thank you menehune, sorry I havnt been by lately as I'm on mainland, but miss you all and sending hugs your way!

Very yummy breakfast and smoothie. We also got some baked goods to go! We don't drink coffee but the people next to use were saying how good it was too. Well worth stopping if you are in this area!

16$ açaí bowl which comes solid frozen
    Z Y.

The 16$ açaí bowl comes solid frozen ; the mango smoothie tastes like pure ice+sugar; the loco moco costs around 20$ but worths 6$; the coffee is okay; the lady cashier is unhappy today. However, if you enjoy dinning with flies dancing around, this is the right place!!!

Loco moco, Kalua pork omelette, so tropical smoothie

Stopped by this place for breakfast before driving to Hilo, and it honestly was just okay. I was expecting more from the food, but it was pretty mid. There isn't much parking, and it's a small area. The Kalua pork omelette was good, and the so tropical smoothie was good as well, but I feel like you could find many other smoothies in HI that would beat the ones here. The flavor is very subtle, almost nonexistent, especially with the mango smoothie, which honestly tasted like water. This was disappointing because we didn't taste mango in this smoothie at all. Also, the loco moco was something I would not order again because I did not find the onion rings on the top to taste good, and the patty was a little tough. Service was alright, and food wasn't horrible, but I just wouldn't return because there are so many other places in HI that are more worth the money!

Classic waffles were a complete disappointment :( it was dry, tasted like unfiltered water, nothing like a waffle! Price point is outrageous although it does look nice! The local sista and brada at the register were nice too so mahalo for that. Unfortunately this dish was junk! Second time to order food from here and just disappointed, again! The coffee shake that's not pictured was good! $19 for plain waffles and a coffee shake down south Kona is crazy pricey. Should give Kamaaina discount next time

An Amazing Kona Coffee Experience…read more Greenwell Farms was one of the highlights of our Big Island trip! This is a coffee farm and tour experience, so just to clarify, they do not serve food here. The experience is focused on learning about how Kona coffee is grown and processed, touring the farm, and sampling their coffees. Our tour was about an hour, and we had such an amazing time. Our guide was a woman whose name I believe was Leilani (possibly Lenny or Lee), and she was absolutely adorable -- especially walking around in her cowboy boots! She was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the whole experience really enjoyable. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who visits. Because of a major storm in May, the farm had suffered significant damage, including losing a bridge, so we received a modified tour. Even with the changes, we learned so much about the coffee-growing and production process, and it was fascinating to see everything firsthand. Hearing about the damage they experienced also gave us an even greater appreciation for the farm and what they've been working through. The tour is outdoors and seems appropriate for a wide range of ages. We happened to have a cloudy morning, so the weather was perfect for walking around the farm without getting too hot. Parking was easy and available right on site. A little tip: Wear comfortable sneakers and make sure you have good balance. There are some areas of the farm with gentle inclines and declines, so it's not completely flat. Since the bridge was out, there was also less walking than there normally would be. And of course, the coffee sampling was such a fun part of the experience! If you're visiting the Big Island and want to learn more about authentic Kona coffee rather than just buying a bag at a store, I highly recommend putting Greenwell Farms on your itinerary. We're so glad we went. It was educational, relaxed, beautiful, and genuinely fun -- and our guide made it that much more memorable. Mahalo to the Greenwell Farms team for such a wonderful experience!

Great tour for FREE! Arrive early and be patient, if there isn't room on the tour when you arrive,…read morethey will get you on the next tour. Sip on free samples while you wait or check out merchandise to purchase and support. Do NOT wander as it's an actual working farm with moving machines and vehicles. Stay off roads and watch for moving vehicles. Be cautious of signs and closed off areas. Wear comfortable and safe shoes. It's all walking on uneven dirt and rock. Sunblock, hat, and sunglasses as you are outside the whole time. They provide free umbrellas to borrow during the tour, but they can block views of others on the tour and can become unintentionally obnoxious and rude, and cause potential eye injury hazards. Your guides are great and share so much history on the farm, the trees and plants, the island, the coffee, and the family. Be sure to TIP generously and listen to them QUIETLY and intently. Great Kona coffee in a wonderful casual atmosphere!…read more I had to meet up/interview a potential Big Island candidate in Kailua-Kona and I was basically looking for a casual place where I could meet, enjoy a drink, and have a little bit of conversation. Kona Coffee & Tea was the place of choice here in Kailua-Kona. Located at the Kona Coast Shopping Center, you can find this little coffee shop just next door from KFC. The coffee shop is easy to find, as other business surrounding this business is the KTA Superstore, Hele Gas Station, HFS Federal Credit Union, O'Reilly Auto Parts, as well as many numerous eateries. It was late in the afternoon, so I basically came here for some drinks. I had to try their Kona Coffee, and I must say it did not disappoint! The coffee shop has indoor, as well as covered outdoor seating. The shop does sell some food items, but I did not partake or looked at what they had to offer. There was also coffee shop merchandise, but I did not have time to take a look at what they had to offer. Overall, as great coffee shop and if I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate to stop by for their wonderful coffee.

Unless you're a coffee connoisseur, you may want to skip the pour over for something a bit less special to save yourself a few dollars. The coffee was fine, but my unrefined palette was not able to fully appreciate the cup of brew. In terms of atmosphere, Kona Coffee & Tea has plenty of seating outdoors around the porch and a few high tables indoor, where they have AC blasting at full strength. They have free Wi-Fi available as well, so I saw a lot of people posting up on their laptops. Parking is plentiful and easy to find since this coffee spot is located in a strip mall. If you have a discerning palette for the subtle flavors that show up in different coffee beans, you will definitely want to stop by for a cup.
