Dirty place. Seats are torn. Ordered a burger with bacon and it was nothing special. The fresh cut fries were amazing with the Cajun seasoning (off the condiment table)! Out of ice cream; all flavors. Catfish was dark gray meat inside not clean white meat; sliced very thick on fillets. Catfish sat on counter line for over 11 minutes (not under a heat lamp) while my burger cooked. Horrible service. Again, it's very dirty. read more

I was told they have the best burgers anywhere, but I beg to differ. I have had much better burgers elsewhere. Their fries are also "so-so". That being said, I have also had the grilled shrimp and catfish which is among the best I have had. If you want a burger, you can get one at McDonalds or somewhere, but if you want shrimp and/or catfish in the El Do area that's not outrageously priced, then this is a very good place to eat. My suggestions for improvement would be to lower the volume of the music, or just turn it off. It does not increase the enjoyment level of the dining experience. Also, they need to put solar film, or something, on the windows. It is simply far too bright during the day to enjoy the meal. I think it is just plain glass with nothing on it to block the brightness in the least. In addition, they could do a bit better with the cleanliness. Finally, their menu is jumbled mess. It is quite difficult to read and find what you want when you are in a hurry. They need to implement several computer-connected wide-screen TVs in portrait mode. That way it could be better presented and easier to modify in the event of price or item changes. If they could fix these four things, I would be willing to give them 5 stars instead of three. One more thing, they need to learn that when you order a hamburger with ketchup only, it really does mean ketchup only. There is no need to ask if I want cheese on it. If I wanted cheese, I would have ordered it that way to begin with. I would have said something like "ketchup and cheese only"..... - I am upgrading them to four stars since they have greatly improved over time. I tried the catfish dinner and I think the best part was their homemade tartar sauce. The catfish was very mild (a bit too mild), as was the hush puppies, and although they have fresh potatoes for fries in the store mine seem to be overcooked. Just crackling small pieces for the most part. Next time I might just try the burgers which seem to be their main staple. UPDATE: Quality has improved, so I increased to 4 star. read more

I'm in town on business for a month. I have been here everyday for the last 5 days. I've gotten Salmon every day. Well today my salmon was not cooked in the middle but of course I had eaten from the edge forward as you would do any fish/meat. I didn't notice this middle wasn't done until I had reached the center. So I called the restaurant, the manager Mike asked me what did I want him to do about it and that I can bring it back. Well, I brought the uneaten, raw portion back and he told me its nothing he can do about it. I didn't ask for my money back or a full meal replacement, I simply asked for a cooked piece of fish and I would take a smaller portion than their serving size. But if I paid $13 for fish, I shouldn't be subjected to half edible/half raw fish. He said no. NOT ONLY WAS HIS ATTITUDE PISS POOR but he lacked empathy as a manager. It was awkward visit because all eyes seemed to be on us. We were the only Hispanics in there and everyone was starring at us like aliens. My husband ordered a burger and he seemed to like it. I ordered a salmon salad and was very disappointed. The salmon was fresh and very well cooked but the salad was basically greens with a few croutons drowned in dressing (no such a healthy salad after all). The place was also overpriced. read more

Definately one of the better restaurants in El Dorado. Clean, and with plenty of seating. Everyone says to try the seafood bit the meat market style display of burgers almost changed my mind. Fried catfish and shrimp were both good. Shrimp were very big. Not too heavy on the batter. Fries are pretty bland. The boiled or grilled options looked good. I agree with Jason and Rp. I'm from New Orleans and live about 45 miles from The Flying Burger. We were in town and my husband wanted to try your place. Well, place is nice and clean but the music to loud. They open at 11 and we sat there for half hour cause they let us in and more people started coming in and had to wait. Most of all to expensive for the burgers and to much salt for me. Yes need to work on the seasoning of food. I was not impress with the food at all. I think if you have a good product people will go back. I know El Dorado does not have to many places to eat and people are looking for that. I sure wish someone would come in and open a good place to eat..I would be so happy. El Dorado does need one bad. Sorry, I will not be back! The place reminded me of Five Guys but with the added selections of fried seafood that ranged from crawfish tails to catfish. The hand cut fresh French fries were fantastic and the hush puppies were made correctly IMHO with mostly corn meal. There are also grilled fish choices and salads but I had the "brown platter" with all of its fried goodness. :0). Excellent food. Sodas only though, no beer. read more

Searched these guys out on our way to Little Rock. I had a bun-less double cheese burger, grilled squash and zucchini. Wife had a regular cheese burger, and pickled green tomatoes. Both were great. So fresh. Definitely worth the trip! read more

This place is going downhill in a hurry. We just had catfish and shrimp basket that was mostly inedible. Their French fries have never been great but they were so greasy and gross today that we didn't eat them. The thick batter on the fish was thicker than the fillets, over cooked, and too crunchy. The staff is great, very clean and the manager knows my dad is in a very strict low sodium diet and he makes sure his staff keeps the sodium off his food!! I love the menu!! I have eaten many a hamburger in my life. This place serves the finest hamburger I have ever put in my mouth. The home fries are excellent. The service is great. I just wish they would build one of these back home in Gulfport, Mississippi. The seafood is decent, but, since I live on the coast it is kind of hard to compete with what I'm used to. I had the 4 piece catfish basket and it really hit the spot! The fish was on flavor and breaded and cooked perfectly. The French fries were home cut potatoes and there was a large amount in the basket. Hush puppies were not quite up to par for me. They were probably frozen if I had my guess. The tarter sauce was very good and you serve that up yourself so you can get all you want. If we lived around here we would be regulars at this place for sure! Our family came in town for a reunion and were really pleased with the food here! I highly recommend it! We had burgers (handmade and fresh) and the gumbo was excellent! Cinnamon roll was perfect.
