I must say there is nothing quite like the disappointment you feel when you're really looking forward to a good, hot shower and you get there water is not hot and the water pressure is non existent. I am most pleased to report you will not have that experience here. Our shower was steamy hot and the water pressure was phenomenal! Easily ranks as one of the best. Shower #5 in North Platte is easily on par with Shower #10 at the Troutdale TA. Of course, neither of these are in the same class as Shower #1 at Sapp Bros in Denver or any of the bathtubs at Little America, but, it is nice to know this is here. The Denny's underwent remodelling which removed all the outlets at the booths, continuing Corporate's war on truck drivers. Now the only outlets are at the counter, which isn't so bad if you need to charge your phone, but, it is a bit awkward when you want to use your computer to pay bills or some such. Food is still good and I was glad that they still had the Denny's as a lot of them are pulling their sit-down restaurants out. Am definitely looking forward to coming back! read more

I would not recommend stopping here if you're trying to get the rest you need as a professional truck driver. The female employee on duty chose to call law enforcement to wake up and move parked truck drivers instead of treating them with respect. As CDL drivers, we're required to manage our hours of service and get proper rest to stay safe on the road. Waking drivers in the middle of their break and forcing them to move creates unnecessary stress and can affect safety for everyone. If parking restrictions exist, they should be communicated professionally before drivers park--not by having police wake sleeping drivers. I hope management addresses how truckers are treated, because we're the people keeping freight moving across the country. read more

Arrived at the gas pump to find "Pay Inside" message. Who does that anymore? I want to pay at the pump like 99% of all other stations and move on. The cashier asked how much gas I wanted to buy, I said I was filling up and had no idea what it would cost. She said I could either leave my credit card with her and go fill up or give her a high figure and the remainder would be refunded on my account. I went with a cost I figured would be close. Tapped my card and the pad said to press "cancel" for credit (I get points to use credit) but she said I needed to put in my PIN. I said credit please, and she said she'd have to start over. Finally got through what should have been an extraordinarily simple transaction. Meanwhile my passengers wanted to use the restrooms but they were closed for construction and a sign pointed them to porta potties outside. Unbelievable. The LAST time I will go to a Flying J anywhere. read more

Good food and service, showers had mold like most of the truck stops but I didn't get a chance to gets pictures this time. Looks like the fountain drink setup needs clean but everything else looked clean. Cashiers were nice and parking was decent. read more

Stopped by at 10 am on a Monday. Women's restroom was closed for cleaning. Who does that at that time? Front counter staff grumpy .Went across the road to Love's. Much cleaner and employees weee cheerful and welcoming. read more

Worst Super Bird sandwich I've ever gotten from a Dennys. So small it seems like they used the little heel ends of the bread. Not worth the 18.00 I paid for it and the 7 onion rings. And the inside of the restaurant windows are disgusting. They haven't been cleaned in a long, long time. Greasy, blurry. I sat in my booth and ordered my food to go. Restrooms could be much cleaner. The announcements are made for bathroom checks, but no one shows up to do the check or actually correct an issue. The pumps are hard to get to in the afternoon & early morning hours, due to parking of big rigs in areas not meant for that use. Not only is it hard to pull in, but then you have a hard time trying to leave. Obviously no one monitors the parking area. read more

The gas station I originally had routed for (across the street) was full so instead of waiting I just came right here which actually worked more in my favor. Service was good.They have slot machines, Staff are always helping customers from what I saw and the best part it's attached to a freaking Denny's. The bathrooms could use some work though, not the cleanest. read more

DON'T like: How dirty the lots are, the . management, how dirty the bathrooms are & how they're always out of grease soap in the women's, the management, the food in the incubator, how there's only pork pizza, never cheese (ever hear if a Muslim or Jew?), the management, how the cashiers at one location will be quick, efficient * friendly but at another will be inept dicks, a aaand the management. Today in Gretna, this manager was standing back in the aisle watching the line of customers pile up because one cashier stopped the line to call corporate to fix a messed-up pump. Why didn't the manager handle that? When I called later to ask him that, an assistant manager refused to put that fuck on the phone. And also Denny's is extremely disgusting. I go to Love's from now on, not that there's any decent choice, aside from Bosselman & Shoemaker's. read more

Came here to park til next load came in. I went to the bathroom & as soon as you open theain door piss smells & that time of month you know what mean smells invade the space. Tissue all over the floors and counters. Nasty! & To top it off there is no hot water so absolutely no showers. I know that's just an excuse for flying j to add that greasy stuff to the water. Always stop at the Flying J Travel Plaza's due to getting at least 3cents per gallon disc. This year I rated a 6cent discount and believe me that really helps when your going from Ca. to Iowa and back. Another plus is the fact that all the Flying J's give the gas discount and they have good food, at least it's edible. When in Nevada you can stretch your legs at their slot machines, or is that shrink your pocket book. read more

This is your average Flying J. They offer diesel fuel discounts for the big fleets so everybody and their mother stops here filling the lot up early. Once exiting your truck, watch your step for urine bottles as you make the journey inside. I've never ate at the Denny's here so I can't comment on that. The inside is your everyday overpriced Flying J merchandise and the same food selection. The 'drivers lounge" reeks of body odor and don't get me wrong, I am a truck driver and that's still uncalled for. Maybe the Flying J could spray Lysol back there or something. I've been to some nice Flying J's around the country but this isn't one of those. read more

Over Christmas I was stranded off I-80 in North Platte, NE. The Flying J Travel Center was a life saver! Hospitable staff with plenty of food/ drink selections. Clean bathrooms and overall nice place to take a rest! read more
