I met a friend for coffee who lives in North Platte and he recommended we meet at this coffee shop. When I arrived, the place was packed with people ordering. You order in a small area with a counter and menu, but there is a large open room next door with lots of tables and seating areas with plants. There is also a seating area outside. My friend told me it used to be an old Napa Auto Parts store and once he said that, the layout of the place made sense. I ordered a Cuban, which was a latte with a blend of cinnamon and brown sugar. When I read that, no other ingredients were needed! It was delicious! It is one of the best coffee drinks I've ever tasted! And the price was quite reasonable too. North Platte is fortunate to have a such a great coffee spot!.

Perfectly made Cuban and Mocha latte! Great local coffee shop! Looking forward to stopping again as we trek through from Wichita to Wyoming.

Top tier beans in the U.S. exotic varietal of beans, the owner takes his craft serious. For aficionados only, we've been to hundreds of cafes in the U.S. n this makes the list. We don't play when it comes to our flavor profile. Atmosphere is very cozy, and alive with beautiful plants. I can't stand a cafe with fake plants. There food is also frickin fire, best place in this state. We always come back

High hopes and very meh results. The establishment was bustling and the vibes were right to sit and stay awhile. I got the pistachio cream latte, which is a house speciality, as well as the "Bruce" sandwich so bacon egg and cheese on a biscuit. The latte was pretty but the pistachio syrup they use tastes almost like chemicals. It's just simply not good and overpowered the entire latte. The cashier told me the sandwich came with Swiss... it has White American which is fine. The biscuit was so dry and crumbled. You can see from my photos that the biscuit turned into a literal pile of crumbles when I tried to eat it. I just ate the middle basically. The stars are for the service being friendly and the environment. I would not recommend getting the two items I ordered. Maybe they have other items that taste better?

I ordered an avocado bacon grilled cheese sandwich earlier. The bread was toasted a little too long. The cheese wasn't melted. It was hard as a rock and brown. Definitely not worth the cost of the sandwich. Update...I tried again today to see if there was any improvement on the avocado bacon grilled cheese sandwich. Nope!!! The cheese was not melted! It was way overdone again!! I showed the sandwich to the cashier, as well as a photo that I took 2 weeks ago. I told her that the cheese on a grilled cheese sandwich is supposed to be melted, not crispy!! They took the sandwich back and said another one would be made. As I was waiting, I was told that next time I should ask that the sandwich not be cooked as long. There was no apology whatsoever. Just some attitude! Also the avocado had brown spots on some of it. I think that today was my last visit to the Espresso Shop.

It's was tasty and convenient. The staff was friendly. They had a large room, with plenty of tables plus outside seating.

Top notch coffee shop. They roast their own beans, which are really well done. The barista who made my pour over had great insights and was fun to chat with. The beans I brought home have made great coffee. I'm excited to go back!

Nice little breakfast and lunch spot in North Platte, NE. Delicious food, friendly service and eclectic, comfortable seating.

Biscuits and gravy and hummus toast - yummy!

Love this place! Biscuits and gravy amazing! Toast to die for, wonderful hummus and so yummy with avocado. They set me for the day of driving. And the little town is so cute, so avoid I-80 and go off the highway and go the Lincoln Hwy instead (30).

Absolutely in my top 5 favorite coffees I've ever tried- YUM!!! I got the Cuban with cold foam and it is to die for. The gals up front were so kind and suggested my drink which I wish I could get every single day! So much space inside, beautiful patio. I love this shop!

The turkey panini at the espresso shop slaps every time. This is such a great place for breakfast or lunch, breakfast at lunch, or lunch at breakfast!

After 4 days in the surrounding area hunting turkey - this place was an incredible change of pace from instant coffee and turkey sandwiches on the tailgate! Went with a pour over recommended by the barista and ate a half plate of biscuit and gravy (homemade) & the green chili chorizo burrito! There was nothing left! Food was incredible and the pour over was excellent!

The cutest coffee shop that took over the old North Platte Meat Market on a corner lot near downtown. They have a lot to choose from for drinks, coffee lemonades, smoothies, tea. A lot of different food options bagels, oatmeal, sandwiches, donuts, and for lunch sandwiches & wraps! So much seating areas too, benches, small tables, long tables for large parties and a little hallway with high top tables. Will definitely be back every time we are in NP again! Check out their seasonal menus too!

First off my server, Crystal, was great. She was super helpful, very personable, not overbearing - just excellent. I ordered a 10 inch pepperoni and jalapeño pizza and a side of fries. The fries were crinkle cut fries. They don't come salted, which is fine because she told me they didn't and I just added salt myself. There was nothing special about them. They were just crinkle cut fries. The pizza was a hand tossed crust, clearly not frozen or a shell which is delightful. Cheese was good pepperoni was a little crispy, which I really like, but you don't really get a lot and the jalapeños were crispy and zippy. The overall taste was good. The sauce was a little nondescript, but on the whole I thought it was really good. I would definitely get it again if I'm in North Platte. As far as ambience goes, a casual dining spot with a bar. The menu is typical bar food: Sandwiches, hamburgers, fried appetizers, wings pizza.

A choice I regret now. First of all, our server was great and friendly. The restaurant seems nice...The food is pretty pricey. We were planning on eating at several pizza places on this trip so I skipped the pizza on the menu, especially since they run $17 for a small 10in. Instead I ordered a shrimp basket. For $16 I got 6 miniature fried shrimp. Smaller than my thumb, and I have small hands. I've seen kids meals with more food. I finished my shrimp in less than 2 minutes. My basket also came with crinkle cut fries which were just as disappointing as all crinkle cut fries are. Other than the friendly service the only thing that saved this restaurant from getting less than 3 stars was my mom's Huge bowl of clam chowder and salad for $10. The red velvet cake for about $7 was good too. Overall though I wish we had picked a different restaurant as I still left hungry.

The past 4 Denny's locations we have been to were absolute trash, incorrect orders, slow service and very small portions. This specific location has AMAZING portion sizes and the food is always A+++. Even on busy days the chef is serving amazing meals. Today I believe the manager and the chef were cooking in the back and did an amazing job! Very impressed! We have had 2 servers in the past 3 days that we really enjoyed service from, one had blonde hair and rose tattoos on her arm and the other had brunette hair and tattoos as well, those girls were amazing, even on busy days they weren't making excuses, kept our drinks filled, checked in on us at least 2 times, got us all of our condiments and had our check out at the perfect time. 2nd review is for 1 specific staff member. I'd probably give this a 1 star on service. Older woman with dark grey hair. My husband is a very patient man but for some reason this lady is slow every time we go. I waited 17 minutes for syrup that she would 'take 1 second' on getting, ended up reaching over the counter myself to grab it.. listened to her repeat at least 7 times that she was the only person there and heard her say it many times to other people (even yelled at a man who was waiting a very long time as well). She doesn't work very well under pressure and can't multi-task very well, I feel like the food industry is a bit much for her. Its clear that she's the only one but why does she keep repeating it to each customer more than 5 times, does she want us to feel guilty for being there? Looking for pitty? Sympathy? I worked in the food industry and I know what it's like to have employees call off and be the only one working. I would of at least seated a few gentleman who were waiting for so long and got a few people checked out and on their way out ASAP. It was just excuse after excuse with this lady and I'm not putting her name incase she wants to take this as constructive criticism and hope that maybe this will light a fire under her a**. Nobody has it easy, if someone calls out, work faster, don't try to make your customers feel bad for being there, just step up on your game and show everyone how bad a** you can work under pressure. Also heard them talking about taking turns with getting people checked out? What happened with putting the customer 1st and just getting them on their way when you clearly have a minute to spare? Doesn't make sense. Get them in and seated as fast as you can and checked out as fast as you can, that's how you keep a steady work flow.
