Flying J has saved my car from running on fumes on many occasions. Located off the Waddy Peytona exit, this fuel station is halfway between the cities of Lexington & Louisville. This station host a variety of amenities and is especially focused on truck drivers. There are clean restroom facilities/showers, a hot food deli bar and attached Denny's restaurant, too. read more

Between Lexington and Louisville, is this Waddy gas station/travel center/truck stop. It's on the same exit as Loves, but I prefer Flying J and Pilots over Loves. Flying Js are owned by the same company of under the same umbrella as Pilot stations. There is also a Denny's attached to it. To get to the bathrooms, head towards Denny's and look for a hidden area that is marked men and women's. The bathroom here was super clean, and even equipped with toilet seat covers. Tiled floors and walls give it the opposite of the truck stop feel, but the announcement over the intercom stated "attention truckers... there is currently no wait for the showers" and reminded me that this place does actually cater to the trucking industry. I scoped up a couple of 32 oz. Cokes, two for $3.33. The gentleman at the register was super nice and allowed me get a cup of ice for no extra charge too. I did notice that they sell out local soda brand, Ale8One... so if you're up to trying it, some people love it. read more

an average to below average Flying J at Waddy Kentucky which is why I prefer to go to the other facility on the other side of i-64. the Denny's is God awful always has been unfortunately and running in and running out most of the time the bathrooms are not very much kept up but it also shows in the employees that they have working there it's basically working for the check as I've said many times and have coined that phrase... last time I went in there had probably been about a year prior and went to use the can and walked out and was like this place hasn't changed there's other Flying J's around America and a whole lot more and I just don't like this place although I did get some good sunsets a couple of years ago yielded some fantastic Sky scenes leaving. but for those that just want to place to hang their hat for the night set the brakes and maybe get a shower hope that it's clean as they say they are it's all right you know people do stop there I mean it is a 24/7 truck stop but in my opinion it's just not up to standards and it never has been but it also reflects on that particular area. read more

I have neuropathy in my feet and it's hard for me to walk very far and running is out of the picture. I also have bowel problem and need to be close to the building. if I can't get to the restroom in time, it can get a little messy. Tonight I pull in and here is a truck parked in he handicap spot with no placard. I called in the store and asked them to have him move. Nobody came to move him. We ate at the Denny's in Waddy for the first time. My wife got chicken strips with mashed potatoes and cream corn. She said it was all good except for the ranch dipping sauce. She couldn't eat it all. I got t bone steak, eggs and hash browns. The steak was huge and cooked just right. Couldn't eat it all. Our grandson got chicken nuggets and fries, a lot of fries. Their tea was very good. It was all very good. $38 for all. They have a large selection of breakfast items. Large. Other meals include pot roast, meat loaf, some fish. It was our first time so I don't know their menu. Yet. They remind me of Friches. The place was very clean and fast. The waitress was great. If you're ever around Waddy and hungry they can hook you up. read more

My regular stop on my drive from Louisville to my cabin at Cumberland Lake. There's plenty of pumps and the store inside is well stocked and check out is pretty quick. Over the years, I've probably stopped at this gas station approximately one billion times. It's not super fancy, but it has exactly what I need. Gas, a bathroom, assorted candies, and an excellent selection of sodas. Like, classic sodas, new spins on every soda that's available (I'm looking at you, Mt.Dew), and regional oddities (everything from Flathead Lake Soda to Ale-8). I've never been to Love's. Good food but the reason we stopped was to use restrooms which had wet floors (it had not been raining), were dirty, and had no paper towels. And of course no changing table (in Mens) for me to change my child. They did have a tempting selection of snacks and junk food. read more

Parking can be a nightmare, if it's after 3 for a rig. They have quite the staff; but they are inattentive. The deli was not stocked & was only about one quarter filled. Hot deli looked sad & old, as in, the food had been sitting for quite some time. Bathrooms had plumbing issues & not stocked. Lack of paper towels & toilet paper in both men's & women's areas. Getting someone's attention at the counter is a tough job. They are too busy doing anything, but waiting on the customers. Desperate for fuel is the only reason to stop there & hope that you can get out of the fuel isle once there. They park damn near on top of the islands; to the point where it is almost impossible to make a turn out of the parking lot. Very irritating. read more

The gas prices were $.04 less than loves. Their bathrooms were acceptable. But I bought "fresh food" there and before I could get back on the highway, I had to drive over to the loves parking lot and chuck it up. This is the Dennys review then ill actually do a Flying J 1.... The only reason for the 1 star is because i had too.....we tried this dennys twice with 2 different shifts and were completely unsatisfied with this place and how it is ran....not only do the wait staff (minus a sweet grey hair lady) suck and stand around but several of these woman seem caddy and rude! No one smiles, says hi or is even present in the dining area to actually help the people who keep them employed! Our server was nice but slow to check on us, hardly came out from the kitchen area and only asked if we were good one time! Food is ughhh ok.....my dinner last night had WAY more grease then needed and my toast this morning was BURNT....and instead of replacing it she left it....HELLLOOOO mcfly lets get it together!!! As for the manager (who sat in the ofgice the whole time) (the tall gentleman with grey hair) he is useless literally.....he doesnt know how to manage his talkable useless staff or seem to know anything about customer service!! POOOR SERVICE! not to mention the one server has Plaque Psoriasis all over both of her arms (this really isnt the issue since truly its not easy to manage) but truth is that is a flaky skin disease (not contiguous) but she needs to cover her arms so nothing can go into ppls food (i mean thats a health issue) other than that never again!!! Employees are great as they always have been, from Denny's to Coffee service to Fuel Desk. Been going there for almost two years as a Expediter Operator. I am thru there two three four times a month never a problem with anything or anyone. Sorry to say I will Never !! Never !! step foot there again. And that hurts to say.As I am a big fan of Pilot an Flying J, and only do my trading with both.. But due to others, I think all Expediters will be looked at in a much different way from now on. As I was. It may be a little hard on you. Please be Professional in all you do and where you are. Management is not happy at Waddy KY. Flying J with Expediters from what I saw an experience. UNDERSTAND !! not telling or asking anyone not to do business there I am just saying, Be Professionals that you are so others don't suffer the aftermath... TO Manager : Sir, not all people are the same just because you had a very bad experience with some that just cant act right, does not mean we all are that way...
