This Flying J Travel Center is fine. It's comparable to the Pilot Travel Center across the street: https://www.yelp.com/biz/pilot-travel-center-haw-river-2 Both are located just off I-85/I-40 exit 150: Jimmie Kerr Road - Haw River, Roxboro in Alamance County. For a quick pit stop, one is just as good as the other. They're part of the same truck stop chain, "Pilot Flying J." Interestingly, this Flying J has a street address with the city of Graham while the Pilot has a street address with the town of Haw River. According to Google Maps, they're both within Graham city limits. What up with that? This Flying J has a Denny's restaurant attached to the convenience store. The Pilot across the street has a Dairy Queen and Wendy's attached. I filled up here on my way to High Point from Chapel Hill. The gas station has 12 pumps. I used pump #3. It was fine. On a Saturday around 9:30am, it was busy, but not crowded. Almost all the pumps were taken at one point during my brief visit. The gas prices were average. This part of the interstate is about halfway between the Triad (Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem) and the Triangle (Chapel Hill, Durham, Raleigh). On this concurrency (overlapped stretch) of I-85 and I-40 in North Carolina, the I-85 exit numbers prevail. Those exit numbers are 131 to 163, west to east. The I-40 exit numbers temporarily "stop" between exits 227 and 259 (i.e., the aforementioned exits 131-163 occur during that stretch). This is Flying J Travel Center #682. It's open 24/7. I tried updating the hours on Yelp, but not sure the changes will stick, so I'm mentioning it here too. The Yelp listing for the Pilot across the street got changed to Dunkin' at one point, so you never know. read more

You have paid parking while Love's does not. Your restaurant is only open for part of the day, while Love's restaurant is open 24/7. Your business is stagnating while Love's is adding a new facility once a month for the last 6 years nationwide. Do the math. read more

the fuel lanes , employees and food are fine at this location. The biggest issue is the aggressive panhandlers in the parking lot. The same guys just DRIVE AROUND IN CARS stopping at random trucks and asking for $. If you tell them no they say ok well I'll see u next time. And they do. I come here twice a week and I'm not even parked for 20 min before one of these bums asks for $. There's a Petro , a TA as well as the state run rest stops. Drivers that are patronizing the food and fuel and coffee and showers have a choice of where they can do so. They shouldn't need to deal with aggressive panhandlers in the lot. DO BETTER PILOT. I'm probably not coming back here for awhile. I'll fuel further north on I 85. No point in giving my $ to a business that can't keep all the riff raff off the premises asking for more $. read more

A longer than planned stop because just as I was getting going, my project manager called me and I had to stop for a Skype conference call. The Flying J hit the bill with a wifi network that actually reached into the parking lot a little bit so that I could sign on. After the call, I popped in for a bathroom break (decent, not perfect) and then cleaned off the windshield before getting back onto I-85. The station is convenient right off the highway and there is plenty of room for larger vehicles to get going. The cover over the pump area is high enough for tractor trailers. I almost always stop by here on any trek out west via I-40. The gas is cheap, the selection of items to purchase inside are plentiful, and the bathrooms are decent. The most recent time I came, I swiped my Citi card to get gas, and I ended up with an email alert a while later saying a $100+ transaction was made on my card. I quickly called Citi and they told me they've been having issues with Pilot and Flying J in the area with these false alerts being triggered. Thankfully it was nothing, but almost gave me a heart attack that their card swipers may have been compromised or something. Otherwise, I'm a fan of the Flying J. read more

Stopped in for some gas as this place always has great prices. I decided to get some coffee too while I was here. Their coffee is always fresh. Facility was clean and spacious. Wide selection of snacks and drinks. People here were friendly and helpful. read more

This is quite a spacious gas station. I accidentally turned into the truck area and it took a while to get out since it was big. I finally found my way around to park in the right section. I purchased a few items and the customer service was on point. I really appreciate the southern hospitality shown here. read more

Whenever I'm on one of my road trips, I tend to gravitate toward WaWa and Flying J for my pit stops. Largely because the inside is pretty open/spacious and the restrooms are usually well kept. The "snack" selection is usually pretty vast as well! This particular location met, but didn't exceed my expectations. The restroom was reasonably clean but could use a bit of an upgrade and the cashier was quite "unpleasant". All while in the store someone was making announcements about shower availability. I've never experienced anything like that before and it was apparent that other customers hadn't either. We were all looking at each other with puzzled look on our face. My guess is that lots of truckers stop through and this location has a place for them to shower. If that's the case...pretty cool! I had to guess at it because the mean little cashier lady didn't bother to explain what was going on...even after observing everyone in a state of confusion, SMH. I stop at Flying J plaza's often when I travel. They typically have a decent place to eat attached to them, a bathroom, and a good selection of snacks and drinks for the road. This place isn't any worse or any better than the average Flying J so I really don't have much to say. read more
