I continued to say "not my fault I didn't like it, it was blended milk, it was gross." Overpriced stuff with bad customer service. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Has no flavor to any of their drinks. Yikes! I'd stay FAR AWAY from the teas, or at least the bubble/iced variety. Perhaps expanding past the flavored ice into the huge selection of flavors and styles of tea is a bit too much for the business to handle. My order was essentially lemon water with shredded basil leaves floating around in it, when it was supposed to be a lemon green tea with tapioca. On top of that, the tapioca pearls were the WORST I've ever tasted. Semi-solid on the inside (improper cooking), not warm, and with a gelatinous flavor, I'm amazed to say but it made the drink worse than it already was. I couldn't throw it away quickly enough. My dining partner's tea was the same way, with a toasted almond milk tea turning into almond milk and ice. It was also really bad and was promptly thrown away. With those negatives out of the way, the other, more positive aspects of the Flying Pig can come to light. The fudge and flavored popcorn are both extremely good products and are priced very well. And of course, the flavored ices that the Flying Pig started out as are still delicious, but perhaps not a treat for the winter. All in all, I don't think I want to give this establishment my service again unless it's in the summertime and I'm getting flavored ice. if you search for a coffee shop this place comes up but really it should be categorized under a candy store...the cold brew, to my liking, isn't really prepared as a real "cold brew" their coffee selection isn't as grand as one would expect. they do however have a large assortment of teas, chocolate and candy...which is nice but not really what I want from a coffee shop. iced coffee was mediocre. it was nice that there was a large variety of teas but not nearly as many of coffee variations. decor was cute and decorated in a modern & colorful fashion but if you're looking for a great coffee, I would say skip this place. staff was friendly and accommodating. overall it's a nice place but maybe not for a coffee lover. read more

My daughter and I love this place! There are so many things to choose from (which can be overwhelming) and everything I've tried has been delicious. Home of an amazing frosted cinnamon roll. We went in for coffee which was very good. But then my friend decided that she had to have one of the cinnamon rolls. I prefer carmel rolls/sticky buns, or at least thought I did until she shared several bites. Rich, ooey, gooey deliciousness on a fork. The frosting was soft, creamy melt in your mouth and the roll was also light. The flying pig must be powered by the amazing baked goods. read more

Huge selection of affordable loose leaf teas. They have tea available to smell to get an idea and you can get just about any tea they offer hot, cold, or in a latte. They also have old timey bulk candy, popcorn, ice cream, and baked treats. Another cool thing is the bulk unique sprinkles (normal stuff, pink pigs, Christmasy things, and more) and colored sugar in the back of the store. I'll definitely be coming back! read more

Easy parking up front. Plenty of seating around with comfy chairs by the big windows to people watch,. Coffee was very good, but the cinnamon rolls were amazing! I've been to The Flying Pig in Beloit a few times over the years. I am not a regular and it is not a place I gravitate towards. My experience yesterday is the exact reason why I tend to stay away. The store itself is beautiful but the service counter is set up poorly. There is only one cash register, which on a busy day can make things extremely slow. The posted menu includes all varieties of drinks and ice cream but no pricing or varieties regarding treats or maybe there were so many things on the menu board that I couldn't read through the jumble. Maybe because these are special and change daily? I like the idea of the candy and tea shopping area but, again, it is set up so incredibly poorly in relation where one needs to stand and wait for their order, and believe me...you will wait. At around 12:30 PM on a Saturday it took 35 minutes to order two drinks and a cookie and receive those items. It seemed like the coffee related drinks were giving staff a lot of issues. My daughter enjoyed her milk based frappuccino and we liked that we were offered a milk or coffee base. My raspberry iced tea was just not good. It was way too sweet and tasted like plastic and chemicals...fake raspberry. I wouldn't order that beverage again. The staff seemed nice enough but inexperienced with customer service. The store was clean and the small seating areas were nice but both had been taken over by large groups rendering them unusable as a waiting area, so we were shoved in the corner in the way of the candy selections. The candy wall is neat but there is a long list of instructions on how to package your own candy and pricing is not clear. I do not find the layout, staff, instructions, ordering process, etc to be disability friendly so be aware of that if you are bringing a special needs child or adult here. I suggest going in on off hours to explore the candy and other selections. Maybe the wait time would be shorter and one would have more time to check things out. They seem to have a great selection of loose teas, which is unique to the area. I did not see sourcing info available or information on their bulk supplier. They also serve some trendy drinks like Bubble Tea, so again, unique and cool. I think the place is worth a shot. It is visually impressive and overwhelming in such a small space but worth a try. read more

I came into Flying Pig with my girlfriends last Saturday during the farmers market. I could not believe how one of the girls working acted. First she was yelling at her coworker to stop moving the tags. I'm not talking just telling her to stop. She was full fledge yelling so rudely. Immediately after that, a woman that had been waiting longer than us informed the same worker that she hadn't gotten her order after 7 people that ordered after her had. (It should go in order). This same girl was completely rude to the lady and went to the front and basically threw a temper tantrum. The cashier then helped the woman. This young girl obviously can't handle her job and should be fired immediately. You lost 4 customers that day because of her disgusting behavior!!!! read more

We LOVE the flying pig! It's a weekly treat! From the MOST tasty shaved ice, to the BEST shamrock shake, and everything in between.. fun fun fun! What's in between? Fantastic popcorn, after Chicago's famous Garretts, this is the next best ever! Wow! So many flavors, we really enjoyed the Chinese New Year popcorn! The fudge is fabulous, and they have BY far the best and most eccentric collection of gummy shapes ever! Love the lego candy, and well... the ice cream is delicious... staff is friendly and efficient, very helpful. The atmosphere is festive and a real treat to visit! read more

I literally choked on the pure joy that was created from walking into this store. No joke. I had been drinking a fair amount, hadn't eaten anything, and I had a real hankering for popcorn. So when I walked into this place and saw a whole wall of popcorn, girl almost cried! That beautiful wall of popcorn sparkled like a shiny gem in a jewelry store. I'm sure that all the other stuff they have like the cookies, the candy, the tea and the smoothies is delicious, but that popcorn, that fucking popcorn is out of this world!! The hard part was deciding what to get. So many interesting combinations to try, like turtle, red velvet, triple chocolate, Andes mint and key lime pie. Yes, yes, yes, yes and YUSSSS! I finally decided on the spicy cheddar and the puppy chow. Delicious. The cheddar had the right amount of spiciness as to not be to over powering and the puppy chow had the perfect combination of sweet and salty. Actually eating both types together was super tasty! So if you have a sugar craving, stop by the Flying Pig and shove your face full of sweet, sweet goodness. read more

Love this place! Popcorn, ice cream, slushing, fudge, candy, truffles, tea and coffee. I never need to go anywhere else! The cheese/caramel mix popcorn is amazing, and very well priced for what you get. I love the coffee packets to take home and sample, and my kids love the shaved ice and slushies. I'm looking forward to warmer weather and trying out the sundaes! So many flavors and always super helpful and patient when taking time to decide. So when I asked the folks at flying pig about my son receiving the wrong change from a $12 purchase, I was told they only have honest employees. I don't like the suggestion behind that comment. Lesson learned. Always count your change when you go here. They must not pay well and employees feel entitled to keeping money that belongs to others. DONE with Flying Pig.
