I heard about the Fisher Nuts Store from some coworkers who rave about the products here. I specifically stopped in to make my own peanut butter and was pleasantly surprised by how many products they had! At the "grind your own nut butter" station, they had four nut options: peanuts, carob peanuts, almonds, and cashews. The process was easy to add the nuts, turn the machine on, and put your preferred amount into a container to take home. I also was able to get some fresh honey from Wisconsin. I wish they had an option for a reuseable container but pricing is dependent on weight. Both my peanut butter and honey was just over $8 which I thought was a very fair price. Tip: Their samples are back so be sure to try some of the free tasters. read more

Hidden Gem. Large selection of nuts, candies, baking ingredients (sprinkles, colored sugar, cookie mix ins). Honestly the prices on retail candy, bulk chocolates and regular retail packages of nuts were not exceptional but the real bargains are in the larger packages of seasonal items, nuts, candy, trail mix, packages snacks, in the back of the store. 42 oz of maple rosemary roasted almonds for $3!! Wow! 15 ounces of chocolate covered dried blueberries or 42 oz of dark chocolate, nut and fruit trail mix for $5!!! Again, wow. They have a wall of samples so you can taste the things they're selling in bulk before you buy. Good selection of items and the store is clean. Usually the workers are friendly when you check out. Today, not so much. Neither of them could bother looking up at me or saying hello. I was told the total and I thanked her and no response... they don't understand how just even a smile at a customer can go a long way. I'm sure my review won't matter one way or another but sharing my experience. I will continue going to a new local shop that opened up last year. read more

I've the years is driven by but never stopped in. They have a remarkably varied selection and some really good deals in the back area on mostly larger sized bags of nuts, trail mixes, salad toppings, etc. The dispensers near the front of the store provide samples of some featured items so you can taste before you buy. There are some nice nut items that are great to use in making granola, cookies, and so forth. It's worth taking a few minutes to check it out if you're in the area. I've gotta say, like Costco, it's easy to go in and leave with much more than you intended to buy, so beware. read more

I am never in Elgin, but if you're there, worth a stop. Many of the candies, etc. aren't theirs (there's a lot of Albanese gummy candy and a selection of Jelly Bellies, for example). I was going to skip grinding my own nut butter, but they had a mix of peanuts and butterscotch chips and I couldn't skip that. There are free samples (lined up along the wall facing the parking lot when I was there, in little dispensers), and the bargains are in the back along that same wall (cheap honey roasted peanuts! Big bags of mixed nuts with the occasional stray M&M). Other than the bargain area, prices are pretty much what you'd find anywhere. For the large bagged items, if you aren't sure if you will like something they let you sample the item. Prices are cheaper than at the grocery store. Some unique items as well. I took a client to the doctor in Elgin. I found this wonderful store called Fisher Nuts. Guys you have to go there if you ever get to Elgin. Everything you could imagine to do with nuts, candy, dried fruit... it's unimaginable what is in the store. I will bring my grandkids back here when they visit. 5 Stars from me!!! Service was great! Such a good variety of candy for any sweet tooth. I have a huge nut allergy but I wouldn't skip out on this place because it's not just about nuts. I was able to get some gummies I could only dream about getting in other stores. This store is great for any sweet pallets. The service was good and fast. The store was mostly full of old people that looked like they enjoyed life. Made the ambience of a quiet candy store with delicious treats just that much greater. Will be coming again. read more

They have lots of nuts, salad toppers, and candies. The remodeling definitely impacts the variety of offerings and experience. This is a fun shop to drop in on particularly for any nut lover.  This is also a retail shop that looks to be located at their corporate HQ/warehouse.  There is something for everyone here with a lot of nutty varieties and flavorings, snacks, and candy, and prices are very reasonable, especially in the bargain corner.  You can also grind your own peanut butter, or cashew butter, or macadamia butter.   They also have some nice, nutty (pun intended) gift ideas/boxes if you're needing such.   Don't forget to download their smartphone app either before or during your visit and you will save at least 15% with their e-coupons.  The bargain corner has discounted goods but be aware that the bargain inventory can change on a daily basis. read more

What's not to like?! It's sugar and nuts. Or nuts and sugar. I like the bargain corner. If you have a craving for a certain snack, they have it. I love the flying saucers. But for 22.00 a box, I buy it every other visit. They have runts to jawbreakers to nuts to peanut butter. You will find something you like. Get the app and save some money. 3/2021 First time we have been there in quite a while. It is great to stop in and check out the current deals. The chocolate covered nuts are great. And love the packaging they now use rather than the bins they used to be in. Nice thought. Some of the deals are great and some are just ok. But every once in a while they have some awesome deals on nuts here. We love stopping in and checking it out. The other old time candies are great. They bring back happy memories of when we were children. A bit more expensive now, but awesome none the less. read more

What's not to love about shopping at Fisher Nuts Outlet store. I have been here twice, once I was in the area for a conference and stopped in and picked up some nuts at discount prices. This last time I stopped in with my boss for both of us to pick up nuts to bring home. I ended up purchasing a few of the clearance nuts and at really good prices like a large tub of honey roasted peanuts for only $4.00, it was on clearance for the packaging. I also purchased 6 bags of Almond Meal for only a dollar each bag which is ridiculous cheap. Employees are nice and friendly. If in the area I suggest checking it out. read more

A great outlet at the Fisher Nut factory! The store is conveniently located just south of the I-90 tollway on Randall road. As a long time customer of Fisher Nuts, since they had an outlet store in Barrington, The store is fairly large, and very clean. There is a clearance area in the back of the store, and they have a large selection of samples out so you can try something you may not otherwise buy outright. We've found some fantastic fun snacks for parties or travel by trying these samples. They also have "Wild Animal Food" which is bulk packed food which probably fell off their conveyors. You get maybe 30+ pounds of miscellaneous pieces for $15, and they often have buy one, get one deals! The store also has bulk items, from sesame sticks, to nuts, to dried fruits. This is a fantastic way to make your own trail mix, with just what you want! The staff is quiet but helpful, and several have worked with Fisher over 10 years! They know the product, and are happy to help you find what you're looking for. If you sign up for emails, you get coupons for various items or discounts, as well! read more

My mom and I go here every so often to get the wild animal mix for not only the animals in our backyard, but for my mom's cousin and my aunt as well! The other poster said the quality is poor, guess what? That is why these items are in the OUTLET STORE and not on the shelf at the regular grocery store. You cannot return the product because they sell bags of bulk items by the pound. Use it for bird food if you don't like it. Often times they sell product close to the expiration date or not made to regular standards (ie. too many peanuts to cashew ratio). The items ARE NOT expired. Sometimes a buyer places an order and backs out of the purchase or Fisher makes too much, or they are experimenting with recipes. This is why the items are super cheap! I for one have never gotten anything bad from here. Sometimes I don't like the flavor or seasoning they use, but the product is always fine. If you are buying a lot of snacks for a party or putting together a gift of mixed nuts or something buy your stuff here. It will cost way less and be just as good. I like the place myself. Looking for your nuts? Definitely stop in. Aside from the vast selection of nuts, chopped nuts and nuts inside stuff (mostly chocolate) you'll find a good assortment of candy, honey and other snacks. A guy below remarked that the prices here weren't good. I strongly disagree. We walked out with a large brown grocery bag filled for the whopping sum of $6.62 (includes tax). Hit or miss So I drove out 30 minutes to shop here and am disappointed. First, there are no evening hours. Secondly if you want to order anything in bulk you have to order a good 3-4 days in advance. Thirdly, the prices are not all that good except for the clearance items. I ordered a 25 lbs. box of broken walnut halves for $3.85/lb, then found what appears to be the exact same thing at my local grocery store (Valli Produce) for $2.99, sold by the pound. Perhaps a walnut aficionado might think there's an important difference but it's lost on me. I was excited to find my favorite candies from Sweden there called Dumle by Fazer which I've never seen in the US. But at $.35 each for single bite candies the size of a Mentos I didn't buy any. On the other hand, the almond flour was on sale from $6 to $2/lb - that's what I call clearance prices. There is a "reduced" section in the back but not a lot there today. Stop by if you like nuts and snacks - it's just off the NW toll road. But it's not worth the hassle to go out of your way. read more

Fisher nuts is definitely worth the drive. The do-it-yourself carob peanut butter is sinfully addictive. Also found cotton candy Big League Chew which I have been faithfully searching out for years. I live nearby and stop here on a pretty regular basis. The prices on bulk items are probably pretty close to retail, it's the items where you'll save more money. But what I like is I can buy just enough for whatever I need, from sprinkles to nuts instead of a big bag or bottle that will end up going to waste. read more

Decided to head out here after seeing them on Yelp. I had no idea there was a Fisher nuts store. I wasn't expecting much, but boy was I wrong. They have awesome prices in their bargain corner on nuts and snack mixes. I got southern nut mix large can for 6 bucks and a huge bag of chocolate covered cranberries for 3 bucks. Both were delicious and I have since polished them off. The staff is fantastic and super friendly and helpful. Some items are retail, but some are steals. They have a lot of novelty candy that I grew up on, so that was cool. They also have fresh honey too and t shirts for souvenir to take home. I plan on heading back there soon to replenish my snack stash. I highly recommend a trip! read more

Went there just to look around and came out smiling! Picked up two twenty pound bags os nuts marked "not fit for human consumption". I found the bags to be filled with all kinds of different nuts and I use them for feeding the birds in my yard. They LOVE IT! Jays, cardinals and many other varieties prefer this over other feed and it's a great deal. I filled three five gallon buckets! Also picked up some other things while were there too. Ok, I think I discovered a new addiction today. Someone told me about the Fisher Nuts Outlet, so I had to check it out. They have nuts, candy and dried fruits of many kinds, and they even have a bargain corner where I got several great 2 for 1 deals. I spent about $25 for 2 big bags of goodies, so that should last me a while. With 2 hungry teenage boys at home, I can easily head back for more when my stash is gone, though, especially at these great prices. The quality is excellent, too! read more
