The glass bottle of elixir. Ordered, shipped in an envelope. Crushed in shipping.

I suppose I can see why they are flying solo. I ordered high end luxury creams. They arrived within a week. The problem is they shipped glass containers in a USPS priority mail envelope. One of the product items was crushed in transit. I have been unsuccessful in reaching this store. After 2 emails with no reply and phone calls that drop after 4 rings with no answer..and I called every department on their website, I am taking my complaint to social media. Perhaps this will get their attention? May I please receive compensation for the damaged product?

Our jewelry brand is displayed at Flying Solo from Nov-Jan 2022. If you are a designer/brand or a company looking to have a presence in New York City, this is the review that you must read - Flying solo is a scam and avoid at all costs. Our brand is carried in over 46 stores across the country including department stores like Nordstroms. The sales have been crazy despite the pandemic, so when flying solo reached out to me to represent our brand for the holiday season, I did not hesitate nor I did my research. Here are my experience with them, 1. Extremely unethical. I walked into their store unannounced and found out that we are displayed in a half tank space ( $650/m) while we paid for a full tank space for $1500. Our display is sharing the same tank with another jewelry brand who also paid for the full tank space. They over-sold their space for the holiday season and hope no brands would notice this scam since most brands are not local and they don't have the luxury to just visit the store themselves. I am pretty sure this is management's idea. 2. No Traffic. The store is dead. I was quite shocked that we sold 3 pieces in the entire Nov ( we usually sell 2-3 pieces A DAY in a store just several blocks north to flying solo). I stopped by the store to collect feedback and was told by the store manager that Flying solo doesn't drive its own traffic and solely relies on tourist walk-ins. Brands is responsible for driving their own traffic, and only use flying solo for display purposes. They suggest we do shoutouts across social medias and send customers over to the store to make a purchase. Before I leave, one of the store staff ask me " you are here for 2 hours already, do you see a single soul walk in here? No! You need to drive your own traffic!" Gosh, it is the holiday season in new york. 3. Irresponsible and damaged our inventory. Our inventory is returned in a big box without any bubble wraps, nor cushion to protect the jewelry. They just threw everything in like garbage. See pics attached. Multiple pieces are damaged, several are missing, and two don't even belong to us. I emailed them four times in a week, copied the founder. No response, no refund on damaged and missing items, even until today ( April 1). They simply choose to ignore. Eye-opening. 4. Unprofessional and money-driven culture. They don't care to drive traffic because they don't make money from the sales in stores, they make money by selling their space to brands. If you think they would care about brands, you are wrong. They think tons of international brands would want to be presented in new york, they are not short of supply of brands. There retention rate of brands is 1-2% so they only focus on getting new brands in. There are a lot other stores that host events, work on digital marketing/ads to drive traffic for their brands. Save your money and go somewhere else. 5. PR is another scam. It is really for a bunch of digital magazines you have never heard of. Even google won't find them. So if you think this is another perk, you are thinking too much.

I am a designer of Feel Confidence brand! I would like to share my amazingly experience with Flying Solo, I want to thank this store for such an incredible opportunity of my life for my brand! My brand is selling very well at the store, team is amazing, the way I have my pieces at the store is so nice and caring. As a designer i would like to say that the beginning of the story to have your own small busses which you want to build big in the future is a lot of small steps and time, to see the way how it goes, each step is an experience which values a lot. Even when I have some weeks of no sales I don't give up, first of all it's an opportunity to have my brand in New York at such a cool boutique in Soho! And secondly It's a journey which you should take seriously and still work on your brand, on the Instagram, advertising and a lot of many other things. Thank you Flying Solo! I'm so happy!

Went in to find a wedding guest dress and peak at the summer collections. Not one sales associate acknowledged me. They glared at me and didn't even greet me. I walked near all of them, and they all were extremely rude. I get this often as a person of color, but rarely In New York. POC THIS PLACE DOESN'T DESERVE YOUR MONEY.

Great store with lots of interesting designers and unique designs.

Super fun store with lots of interesting designers you can actually meet and unique, edgy pieces you will not find anywhere else.

Beautiful stuff! I loved so much pieces here from jewelry (Amazing & unique one of a kind! ) to shoes & clothes! There is apparently 30 designers from all over the world- from Brazil to Russia! You get pieces from actual designers who more than happy to hear what you think about their art! That's is as closest as you can get to designer authentic samples! Personally chose this masterpiece from Solomeina jewelry!

Cool guys with cool concept behind.

Lovely store with independent designers. It's such a cool concept behind - 30 or 40 fashion designers opened and running it by themselves. Wide selection of different styles. People in the store are very welcoming and generally warm atmosphere. They suggested me even hot tea as i was totally wet after the rain. Really good quality. Definetely my new favourite fashion destination now.

Note that I've previously stepped inside the shop to survey the selection, and last night I stopped in for what was only supposed to be a quick moment... The owner greeted me and almost immediately started talking prices. This is $20 dollars and we have that for $25 dollars, but this is a little more expensive, and that's this price. Oh, that fascinator is beautiful on you and you can put it layaway. It was just $79 dollars, mind you. Excuse me? It's such a turn-off when people see brown skin and assume that the purchase would be unaffordable without a payment plan! Not to mention, I started off by noting that I was only taking a quick peek on my way to pick up my Nordstrom purchase. Though I promptly told her that I don't need layaway and I pay for things outright, I had already decided that I wouldn't be buying from there. Her fixation on talking to me about price was all I needed to hear. Nothing disgusts me more than when people make assumptions! I have beautiful vintage hats in my collection, fine jewelry and quality costume jewelry, and beautiful bags that I've purchased abroad. She could've had a repeat customer who prioritizes quality goods and, more importantly, quality service.

I am confident, however, I will find something that appeals to my frugality. I do not know if Muji invented the concept of a brand that is not a brand, in the sense of not advertising itself, which ironically achieves its own iconic minimalist status. They have perfected it though. Last time, I got their 90 degree socks. I actually have concluded it is not a gimmick. I have some socks that slip off, at the heel, in particular if I wear them with runnig shoes. These do not. Everything I have acquired from Muji has gone into my regular rotation. The design is good, the quality is there, and the prices are not outrageous. So I commend Muji to you if you have a similar sense of not wanting to want, but being willing to browse. I'm confident you will find something on every visit.

If I could rate Muji's customer service separately from its products, it would be one star…read more The problem isn't that mistakes happen--it's how Muji handles them. My order arrived with missing items despite paying oversized shipping and waiting days for delivery. Since then, I've been stuck in an endless cycle of apologies with almost no action. After nearly a week of emailing back and forth, I was asked to provide my order details again. Why? The entire email trail already contains everything they need. Instead of reviewing the case history, each representative seems to start from scratch, wasting the customer's time because they can't be bothered to read their own correspondence. Muji has mastered the art of apologizing without actually resolving anything. Every response is filled with sympathy and promises to "look into it," yet there is no urgency whatsoever to fix a mistake that was entirely their responsibility. Once they have your money, you're left waiting while your case sits in limbo. For a company that promotes quality and simplicity, their customer service is anything but. Poor communication, zero ownership, endless delays, and customers forced to repeatedly chase for updates. Paying extra for oversized shipping clearly doesn't translate to better service when something goes wrong. If you're lucky enough to receive your order intact, you'll probably have a good experience. But if there's a problem, don't expect Muji to treat it like a priority. Based on my experience, their customer service is all apologies and no accountability.
