You'll probably get the best deals on Indian jewelry in the entire tristate area. Ironically, places in jersey will rip you off for the same jewelry so they can receive up to 3x in profit margins. These prices actually are around the same price range to what you would pay in a big city in India. I've been coming here for about a few months now and am happy with the selection in the store. There is a bit of a cultural disconnect with the staff in the store just because in India, people will hover around you in stores; and that's not how things are in the US and people may get uncomfortable with this kind of service. This store is so cute and literally has all the accessories you can think of. Whether you're looking for gold, silver or anything in between, they have it. They have gaudy items, as well as simple and dainty items. They also have really cute purses, pins & brochesand scarfs. What a FUN store! Okay, it's really cheap costume jewelry, some of which is very detailed jeweled bug pins, but there's a huge selection of earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. Some of it is extremely gaudy, but because the selection is HUGE, there's something for everyone. There are small, tasteful cubic zirconia earrings, and giant jeweled hoops. There are rings and sets of crystal necklaces and earrings. Also tiaras. And faux pearls. Earrings, pins, etc are mostly $7 each. They also have a GIANT selection of clip-on earrings. My mother does not have pierced ears, and was happy to find a pretty pair of earrings with faux mabé pearls. She doesn't like wearing her real jewelry anymore, because better safe than sorry. I bought two pairs of earrings, and also something else that I later saw in a different store a few blocks away for more than DOUBLE the price! Smh. I've been coming to this store for years. They are located aroud the corner from Herald Square. They used to have another store a few years ago, but that one closed. So, I am glad this location is still around. If you are looking for trendy neclace and earring sets, dangling earrings and smaller ones, pierced or clip-ons earrings, bracelets, pins, hair accessories, rings, scarves, they have it all. They have a very wide selection of costume jewelry. There is not much service, however. When you walk in, you pick up the small basket to shop and put items in so you help yourself. And then you go to the counter to pay. There was one guy on the floor, but he was not a greeter. Maybe if you need help reaching something high up on the wall. If they were more welcoming and friendly, I would give them a higher rating. I get the impression they may have a problem with theft...so maybe that is the weird vibe that turns me off. They are always busy, so expect that. But the most important thing, their prices are reasonable. This is why I continue to come back over the past years. You will see the same thing in a department store for three times the price. So I like the prices the most. read more

I love this store because for me it evokes the streets of Bombay (Colaba, Bandra etc.) and its jewelry definitely has an Indian flair/influence, especially upstairs. I believe it's owned by Gujaratis. The selection is great and for a very fair price point. I saw earrings for as low as $2. The majority of earrings were $5.50. Bracelets seemed to range from $4-$9. I think the store could improve by having more mirrors displayed. I like that you get a little basket to keep the earrings in. The service I received was very good in the sense that as I was buying a $4 bracelet, the person working there noticed that one tiny crystal had come off. And then he grabbed another piece for me but saw that one also had a very minor issue. He then said I should grab something else but honestly the blemishes were SO acute I didn't mind and he ended up giving me both bracelets for the price of one. I just appreciated the honesty of the seller as he did not want to sell a product that was less than perfect! It was refreshing to see that attention to detail and customer care. read more

Biggest store I've been to where everything is wholesale and you can buy in bulk. I was just buying for myself and my friends back home but it was amazing all the variety they have. How did I not find this palace sooner?!?!?!???? Any place where you can buy sparkling jewelry for under $5 is simply superb. I got two sets of earrings with matching necklaces, $8 for each set, and I have gotten so many compliments on them! The main floor has mostly earrings, some bangles, bracelets, pins and clutches. Clutches were about $20 each. They also have a wide variety of Clip-On earrings!! So nice for people who do not have their ears pierced. Upstairs they have a wide variety of sets, many for $8. Their selection of scarves is also impressive, many different colors and prints. The quality of the scarves is cheap, but for $3 - $8 what else would you expect? They also have a lot of rings, organized by size and price. The sizes range from 5 to 10, it's rare to see such a wide variety. They also have a bunch of hair clips. I get tons of compliments on the first one I bought which is very sparkly so I recently bought a second one. In terms of style I found the variety of jewelry to range from classy to silly looking, which is by no means a bad thing. For times when you want some silly looking jewelry or buying for a little girl this is a great place when you don't want to spend a ton of money. This is definitely my favorite place hands down for inexpensive jewelry. read more

If you are looking for nice costume pieces this is a good place to start. There are both pierced and clip on earing as well as tierras, pis and braclets. There are two levels but the store does not have an elevator. The store is located near the 34th street station close to south east entrance. One thing I have noticed the prices vary in the weekend. Really wanted to like this place, but I was made to feel like a thief for no reason. The two gentleman who stood at the far side of each aisle scrutinized every move I made so intensely that I couldn't focus on the merchandise. Instead, I stopped moving my hands and placed them in front of my body so they were visible at all times. No refunds or exchanges. I would have given this place 4 stars except for 2 things. One the prices have been going up lately. The earrings are now $3.50 which is still cheap but based on the quality and other shops around I feel like they are getting too high. A pin/brooch is $4.00. I liked some hair clips and they were $9.00. Be careful what you buy here. I got home and had some earrings that were broken but as I said no refunds or exchanges. So when you buy junk, you get junk. The other thing that really irked me was after shopping for a while, I was waiting to ask the guy a question (and no one was in line), and after he finished with the lady he was helping he told me he wouldn't help me as I had cut the line (which I hadn't since it hadn't been there prior). A friend introduced me to this place about 10 years ago and I have been shopping here ever since. In that time, I've learned what to buy and what not to buy because frankly all costume jewelry is not created the same. I try to buy heavier pieces because those tend to be the ones that last the longest. I also coat everything I buy from them with a thin coat of clear nail polish to help protect the finish, since most of their stuff is a silver-ish coating over nickel or copper and it begins to show pretty quickly if you don't. The downstairs houses most of the earrings and bracelets as well as cuff links and tie pins for the guys. Last week I discovered that they started selling evening bags as well, and they keep these behind the counter on the first floor. The second floor has a lot of jewelry sets, scarves, sunglasses, jewelry boxes, makeup, incense and drug paraphenalia (errr, for tobacco use, of course!) I found jewelry sets for my bridesmaids and managed to find my headpiece for my wedding here this weekend. The tiara I purchased is an almost exact copy of the one I tried on at David's Bridal for a fraction of the cost (like DBs was triple digits and mine was barely a double digit). read more

But if you look, you can find earrings, pierced and not, bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and little decorative boxes, eyeglass cases, pillboxes, etc., which are rather nice. When I first moved to NYC and was only a poor intern and college student this place was the holy grail of cheap jewelry! You found unique but cheaply made jewelry items for $3 or less. It's the same quality as the jewelry you find at Forever 21 or H&M. Yes, after a while those bracelets or earrings would tarnish but only after numerous times of wearing. This jewelry got me through many drunken bar nights in college at 21 years old. If I also lost a pair of earnings, they could easily be replaced. Who knew Earrings Plaza had such a devoted fan base? I myself have been introducing almost every single one of my friends to this store which is packed with cheap jewels. As those before me have mentioned, a personal favorite of mine are the earrings for $3.25... and I'm not just talking about your standard cheap hoops, but rhinestones galore. Every time I am headed to a wedding I make sure to hit this place up for some serious sparkle. I have also purchased some really amazing Kenneth Jay Lane-esque animal rings and bracelets. My favorite recent score is a huge guazy scarf that features two pouncing leopards and looks like it's definitely in the $100+ price range... I only paid $6. Seriously, if it's a jewelry trend, Earrings Plaza usually has it in some fashion for prices that are a steal. And it's two floors! I was shopping for a white metal long fringe necklace for a maxi dress. They have a big selection but I couldn't find what I wanted. They have 2 floors and they're prices are reasonable. The quality of the costume jewelry is not high end but it's nice looking and cheap enough to toss it after you use it a few times. It's a good place to buy matching sets for bridesmaids, etc. The people that work there are not very helpful. The 2 young girls that work there just stand around. You can't try anything on and I don't know their return policy but I'm sure you can't get your money back. I would have like to have had someone to discuss some of the pieces. This place is literally CHEAP JEWELRY HEAVEN. It is right in the heart of a district of fashion jewelry dealers, a lot of wholesalers. This place will happily allow you to purchase an item or two if you are just a shopper, and not a retailer. I found that the selection was fantastic, and the prices were even better.
