As we were leaving the store, he turned to my husband and said, "Good luck with her." Even if I were a difficult customer, that behavior is so unbelievably disrespectful. I know customer-facing jobs can be hard and stressful, but that is no excuse for a tactless comment. I am absolutely disgusted. I did find a pair of grey ones and loved them. I vowed that when I was back in the States, I'd get another pair. My next trip ended up being Nashville. On my first full day, I went to the closest Kohl's from where I was staying. I found these shorts in various colours, but none of them were in my size. Ugh! The greater Nashville area has three Kohl's. I went to the second-closest one, which is this one. The parking lot had plenty of parking. I pulled into a spot and walked in. I eventually found the shorts that I loved. They were in my size. I ended up getting them in blue and green. There always seems to be a sale happening at Kohl's. I like the merchandise that it offers and deals that make me happy. I landed a pair of lightweight jean joggers. This pandemic has switched me over to Joggers. Finding the right inseam can be a challenge for me with them. These fit so nicely that I got them. I didn't realize that Squishmallows are available at Kohl's until this trip. I saw a small strawberry one. I oddly didn't have any strawberry plushies in my collection until I bought one here. This store also had Squishville -- smaller versions of Squishmallows. This store is cool. I saw new Caboodles carriers, which threw me back to being in high school and seeing them in Teen magazine. Instead, I saw them right before me. I'm glad that the company is still in business. Kipling bags are also available at Kohl's. Wow! This store had smaller ones in cheerful colours. I came to Nashville without a pair of sunglasses. It was hot and humid. The sun was out practically every day, with the odd day for a thunderstorm. I got a nice pair of sunglasses here and loved them so much. They were 50% off. I wore them every day to protect my eyes, look like a mysterious tourist, and keep my hair away from my face when they became a hairband when I was indoors. Staff here were nice. A woman helped me cash out. I got deals scanned through the Kohl's app, which I highly recommend using. You do save a ton of money at this store. I saved far more than I had spent. It's a good store. Now I used to be a retail manager myself and the things she was saying were not OK for her to be saying to another employee especially if she is in a position of authority let alone in the presence of a customer. after hearing this conversation for a few minutes I made my rounds of the store a little quicker and left without purchase. The store also looked like a snow globe that someone had just tipped upside down and they were still just standing around talking. The daughter loves the simplicity and quality of their clothing, so in we went. The store is clean and organized. I really liked the large comfy seating area. We headed straight to the sale section and were quite impressed by the selection. Each item was tagged with the percentage off. This was really nice as it avoids any confusion at the register. There were only a couple customers at check out but a lovely young lady quickly came over to help us. She was so sweet to engage in conversation and show genuine interest in what we were talking about. While finalizing our purchase, a young man came over to wrap our items neatly in branded tissue paper and place them in a shopping bag. Lovely experience at this Aritzia location! When I visited the store on a Saturday, I was told there was a "clientele" sale happening. I selected a few items and went to check out, only to be charged full price. When I asked about the sale, the associate at the register said she "didn't know" about it--despite it being a storewide promotion. She eventually adjusted the price, but I found it odd and unprofessional that she wasn't aware of an active sale. I couldn't try the items on that day, so I brought them home. They didn't work out, so I returned to the store the next morning. When I went to return them, I was told it would be store credit only. That was never communicated to me during checkout. Had I known, I wouldn't have gone through with the purchase--especially after spending over $200. The associate who handled my return was kind enough to refund to the original method, which I appreciated. However, when she told me the refund amount, it was less than expected. I questioned it and was told, with a snarky attitude, that she was "sure"--only to realize later she overlooked that I had two items. Both visits left me feeling frustrated and undervalued as a customer. It's this kind of disorganized and dismissive experience that makes me want to avoid stores like this altogether.
