Called the day prior to get an appointment for a wheel alignment. Countertop tells me no problem bring it in anytime. Next day I drive down pull in talk to another countertop guy not sure if it was the same person or not but he takes one glance out to the bays and looks back to say his "machine hasn't been working properly and I wouldn't want my steering wheel crooked would I? We got a guy comping out to look at it, should I call you then?" I'm just baffled at this point because he's obviously lying and just a bit too busy to take me as a walk in which was so forced upon me the day prior with them not wanting to even book me an appointment. Bought new tires, installed. Flynn's was competent in all phases, and installed the tires in the time promised properly and as requested. Price was better than 4 other places I checked in part because installation, balancing and disposal were all include din the price. The tires themselves aren't anything special, just mid+ level Goodyear all-season, but that's what I wanted. They were in stock and my car was on the lift an hour after calling them. No drama, no upselling, I got in and out at the price I was quoted online on the tires I wanted. Two thumbs up. read more

went to Flynn's on Babcock 15237 for brakes at the beginning of summer 2024. after they gave me my car back, the brakes immediately were squeaking loudly, which they weren't before. we took it back to them to get them to fix it and they said something needed adjusted. I drive my car home, brakes still squealing loudly. I take my car to honest Glenshaw Auto, who uncovers that Flynn incorrectly and dangerously installed the brakes. I travel this vehicle for work, and with our children thanks Flynn!! After years of being a loyal customer-- Never again, Flynn, never again. read more

Yesterday Ihad my oil changed plus they also removed a damaged heat shield from under the car. They checked everything out and tell me they could find no other problems so I was on my way. The customer service was great so I was on my way, however, I had a surprise waiting for me this morning. The car wouldn't start and was making a strange ticking noise! When I looked under the hood, I couldn't see any problem, so I gave Flynns a call and THEY WERE OF NO HELP WHATSOEVER. Instead, Tim tells me that they couldn't check everything so he would have so idea what was wrong but its not their fault and is n doubt just a coincidence that it happened just after my oil was changed. Right! Further, they do not offer towing so I would have to pay for it have it towed there. Of course, he made no offer to pay for the tow. r. Not only will I not return to this place, I will be contacting their corporate office about this Too bad I had to give this place one star! If you care about your vehicle do NOT bring it to this location. Brought my truck rims in to have it's first set of tires switched out. Received the rims back and the weights were place crocked and one fell off. They didn't bother to clean the location before sticking the weight on. Additionally they left grease all over the edge and to top it off the rims. Then to top it off, they gouged the edge of my perfect rim. Brought it back for them to see and they said it was from a pot hole. This is a 20 inch truck rim with a 55 profile side wall. The tires bulge out past the rim and would have popped or cut the tire to do that. literally it's impossible to have that damage they way they stated. They took no accountability. They offered to touch up the rim. What a joke! Check your rims and show them before you have put the tires on. Then you can hold them accountable. read more

I made an appointment for oil change maintenance and winter tires my my company car. I dropped my car off on a Sunday night for my 9 AM appointment instead of waiting for it and they didn't look at my car "because we had a lot of walk-ins". My car was still there on Wednesday evening without having anything but an oil change done. I had to take my car for an appointment with a body shop as is. I finally took my car back to get the tires put on and they did not put my summer tires back into my car when finished. I noticed before pulling away and they acted as if they were surprised that I wanted them back. I was told that they were no good. The problem with this story is that it is a very new car with only 14,000 highway miles on it! He then said that he guesses that they are okay for summer. Really??? They used to be great. It was brought back to Flynn and they can't even get the tires off so what do we do? Took my car for inspection last year. They found $1200 of repairs. Took it in again this year and they found another $1000 of repairs and wanted to replace every part of my exhaust system. I couldn't believe it could be so expensive. So I took my business elsewhere. VERY glad I did. The repair cost $226 and passed inspection just fine. I also did not appreciate that when I was told the repairs on the phone they told me one thing and when I went to pick up the car to take it somewhere else with my boyfriend- they told him a different story. I've brought my car to this Flynns a handful of times, the staff and the service are not always consistent. One occasion I was quoted $1200 worth of brake work that when taken elsewhere was fixed for 1/2 the cost and caused no additional trouble. One occasion I was told there was no issue and this noise I was hearing would work itself out over time- not the case. A couple of oil changes have been great. (UPDATE) I appreciate the concern from management re: my initial review at this Flynn's location. My unfortunate experience has been rectified by a true show of "actions speak louder than words." First we take the car in for service and find out we need calipers, rotors, pads and a flush for our brakes - later that day I get a recommendation to take the car to Trudeau's and I call for a price even though we had already told Flynn's to go ahead with the repair - Trudeau's was $400 cheaper. Then the brake light comes on in the car the next day - since I just got it serviced at Flynn's I take it back - they tell me I need a new master cylinder for the brakes - well fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me - took the car to Trudeau's for a 2nd opinion - seems Flynn's didn't flush the air out of the brake lines - Trudeau's charged $50 bucks and has a new family of new customers - Flynn's will be losing as many customers as I can warn. read more

I took my car in for new tires, an alignment (with three years of re-alignments), and oil change in mid August 2017. Two weeks later, I dropped off my car for state inspection. I received a phone call from the mechanic stating that the left control arm bearings were bad and my emergency break needed adjusted with an estimate. He stated that the estimate included replacing the bearings, an alignment, and the cost to adjust the parking brake. I proceeded to ask why I would need to pay for an alignment again if I purchased the package that included three years just two weeks prior. He then said that he didn't check that and I wouldn't have to pay for the alignment after all. The wheels in my head started turning after I hung up the phone. If this part that needs replaced meant that I had to get another alignment, why wasn't I told this two weeks earlier when they did the first alignment? I proceeded to talk to two state certified mechanics and at least four additional people who do work on their own cars. They all said that an alignment should not have been completed if this part was bad. All this being said, I have been a customer of Flynn's for as long as I can remember. Let them stick to what they know... Tires. Not only did I have another mechanic to fix the problem, I paid AGAIN for it to be inspected. After the three year thing runs out, I can betcha I will not be a returning customer. read more

I took my car in to get four new tires told the lady at front that I would start my vehicle cause had issue on starting and didn't want the to screw it up and make check engine light come on from cranking the vehicle and well what do u know the check engine light is on and all because people couldn't listen to the customer and did what the pleased and to top it off I hid the key inside my car so that they would have to come find me to start it just cause they didnt know where the key was well the people sat in car and went threw it until the found the key I will never bring any vehicle back there or to any of the Flynn's tire places and now I have called and asked to speak to the district manager and they still have yet to get ahold of me to figure out what there going to do about this problem and the people that did not listen or read the paper before pulling the car into garage. I went to flyn to get new tires from flynn in carnegie. Everything seemed to go well, but upon leaving they tried to tell me I needed new lug nuts. What's crazy is I had factory lugs on their and I never had any problems before. I left, never touched my tires between then and present time 3 months later. Had a radiator problem went to get fixed under factory warranty, they told me some lugs were rounded, undersized, or stripped. Went back and they wanted to charge me for new lugs. I was considering paying that, but they also wanted me to pay labor to get them to fix what they had done. Absolutely crazy. For what you save it isn't worth it. Was thinking about taking legal action but it's just not worth it. I'll take care of this with my mechanic and just warn you to stay away from these guys. That I guess is all I can say go at your own risk just make sure you watch what they do. They will mess up your stuff and then make you pay to fix it. read more

I had a great experience at Flynn's today. As a woman I have been taken advantage of before when it comes to car issues, but that was NOT the case today. I went in thinking I had trouble with one of my tires, turns out I had troubles with 3 of my tires. They were so great in explaining exactly what was wrong with my tires and they got my car in and out very quickly. Very friendly staff and you can tell they are genuinely concerned about you and the issues you have with your vehicle. My "low tire pressure" light has been on the entire time I have had this car, and it is now off and my car is riding so smoothly now. Highly recommend this business. read more

I've been coming to Flynn's Tire on Babcock Blvd for over 20 years. They've always had very competitive pricing when you consider the installed price and their free tire rotation policy. I just went in today because one of my tires was leaking air and also wearing severely on the outside edge. I just had Flynn's rotate the tires and align the wheels about a month ago so I was surprised about the leaking tire and wear. They said the problem with leaking air was corrosion built around the tire pressure sensor. They thought the uneven wear was due to the last time the wheels were aligned they may have missed a step with resetting the computer steering settings. They fixed the problem, re-aligned the car and put on a new tire and covered it under the road hazard policy I had previously purchased for the tire. No charge other than me buying a new road hazard policy for the new tire. I trust them to do what's right for the customer. Overall they're a pretty honest bunch. I've seen the other reviews about repairs done by Flynn's for brakes and I've never used Flynn's for anything other than tires. I'm always skeptical about services offered by any business that are outside their core competence. read more

I have been taking my car to Flynn's for at least 5 years. I trust the staff completely. They are efficient, professional and are not about "inflating" your repair bill. They take excellent care of my car. There seems to be little staff turnover so you get to know them. I recently had my car towed there for repair. While Flynn's might perform a simple oil change well, they certainly don't perform other diagnoses, installations, or repairs with any competence. I've taken my car to them twice now for fairly normal repairs, and have left both times with more problems than I started with. On top of incorrect installations, they refuse to acknowledge that their service was unsatisfactory when I'd called to make the issue known. The car has ended up more damaged in their hands - I'd rather take my business elsewhere for the good of my car and my wallet. read more

Horrible service. I called in to get my tires changed and told the gentleman what kind of car I had and made the appointment. I came on a Saturday at 11am for my appointment. I asked how long it typically takes and the gentleman could not give me an answer. He said, "not long were not busy." I set down in their sitting area and wait. 45 min later while sitting in the room I see my car getting taken back. Already annoyed about the wait i thought to myself, changing tires doesn't take too long, I should be out of here soon. About 10 min later I get called up to the desk and they say I had different size tires than they thought I had so they will be more expensive. I said okay I am fine with that. They don't have them in stock and say I have to make another appointment. I said I would have been okay with this if I didn't wait over one hour for you to tell me you guessed the wrong size tires. The two guys shrugged their shoulders and had an unapologetic sorry and just assumed I would come back with their mistake. Never coming back and neither should you. read more
